by:

Very well built fan that has worked well in this older vehicle.

by:

The product seems alright for now, but I am sad to say it's took almost a month to receive. I wished I would have known the wait prior to buying. A little more upfront information would've been appreciated.
Thanks.

The fan does not produce enough air flow at low rpm. I sent a request to your engineers to look into finding a flex fan or alike to resolve this issue - no response after several attempts. I need a good replacement for this Toyota part #16361-23060-71.

Thank you - Ron Karsting (909)234-9419

by:

needed a larger fan blade for the motor on my airboat... works great

by:

fast shipping and as described, good pr ice

by:

Fan looks great. I just put it on,haven't tried it yet.
The only problem I have is I paid extra freight charge to get it quicker. Didn't realize it would take 10 days from the day I placed the order to get it shipped.
I rebuilt custom cars, order a lot of parts with out this time delay.

by:

Very fast shipping! And a very fast install. Running it a Jeep Cherokee with the 4.0 L only had to modify the fan shroud a little bit. Using a 2" spacer. I drive with the AC on in hot weather in traffic!

  • Does Derale Race Fan # D17320 Move More Air Than Derale Flex Fan # D17019
The two Derale fans referenced, their 20-inch Race Fan # D17320 and their 19-inch Flex Fan # D17019, will offer similar performance at lower RPMs, but at higher RPMs the Race Fan will deliver more air volume. As a result it will also put somewhat more drag on the motor. This is because the race fan is rigid and its blades maintain their profile at all speeds, while the flex fan blades are designed to flatten out at high RPMs to allow the air flow from the vehicles speed to provide much...

  • Determining Fit of Replacement Radiator Fan for 2002 Dodge Ram 3500
Derale's radiator fans are designed as a universal-type fit item so that the fans can fit a wide variety of vehicles. • Will the Derale Radiator Race Fan # D17420 Replace the Factory Fan in a 1988 Ford F-250
The Derale 20 Inch Race Fan, # D17420, has a 19-7/8 inch diameter so it will fit within your 22 inch shroud. One thing to keep in mind with this fan is that it is a race fan which means it will require you to remove your fan clutch as well. It is designed to pull more air as your engines RPMs increase and not to be regulated by a clutch. Removing the factory clutch will effect the length of the spacer that you need. Once you have the clutch removed, you will want to measure from the water...

  • Recommendation for a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel and Mounting a Derale 20 Rigid Belt Driven Fan
According to my contacts at Derale the 20 inch Rigid Steel Blade Race Fan # D17320 can not be mounted to a fan clutch, it is considered a rigid mounting system. This fan is considered a standard rotation, has a maximum rpm rating for up to 8,000 rpm. However, if you would like to consider a fan that will mount to your fan clutch, then you would need the # D17120. This style of fan would mount to your existing fan clutch, and would not need a spacer for mounting. It is also a standard rotation...

  • Could Derale 20" Rigid, Steel-Blade Race Fan Push and Pull Air
In theory yes, the Derale 20" Rigid, Steel-Blade Race Fan # D17320 could spin either direction and push or pull air. But since this is designed to mount to a pulley on an engine you wouldn't be able to get it to push air through a radiator.
