24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
I haven't tested the cargo carrier yet, but this review is for etrailer customer service. After receiving the carrier, the square piece that goes into the hitch receiver was out of square, so it wouldn't go in. We need the carrier to head out of state to visit for Christmas and are leaving tomorrow morning 6am. After calling etrailer, they expedited shipping and the new part arrived today, even though tracking said tomorrow (which would be too late for our trip)! Thank you etrailer for saving Christmas!!! More review to come after the trip!
This carrier worked out great. The tilt down feature is helpful to have but I didn't really need it. However, the fold up feature was helpful when driving around, so I recommend that as a convenience. The only thing I had trouble with was the hitch bolt. I have a Thule bike rack that I've used with my truck hitch receiver and never had a problem, but this rack's hitch bolt was a real pain to get in at first. Don't be dismayed. With the rack off of the vehicle, I used some WD-40 and some lithium grease on the bolt and then used an adjustable wrench to screw it in and out a number of times. I noticed a bunch of either paint or metal shards gumming up the threads on the bolt each time I removed it. After about 5 times of screwing it in and out, wiping off the bolt with a towel, adding some more grease once in a while, it got to the point that I could screw it in and out by hand pretty easily. Problem solved. I'm really happy with this rack. It fit two big coolers of food and beer plus beach umbrellas and other stuff. It's really strong and sturdy. The biggest issue was not the weight on the rack, but whether the rear suspension on the Highlander could hold it with our other junk in the back plus passengers. :-)

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 39" Wide
I am very happy with both the initial quality of the Load Warrior and how nice the eTrailer people are to deal with... The product seems well thought out and there are a bunch of accessories to mount most anything...
Excellent! ive used it and the bike mount many times...
This product fits my 2014 Subaru outback perfectly. It look like it was made for this vehicle. I actually believe this is the same rack you can purchase through Subaru with a faring that says Subaru instead of Yakima. It looks great and adds function and utility

20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
When we had our second child our Subaru Outback got that much smaller. It was either buy a larger vehicle or do something to increase our ability to haul stuff, especially when going on vacation. I decided to get this cargo carrier and let me say it absolutely does the job. I actually purchased a different one first, through Amazon, and I immediately sent it back and got this one because the first one not have the folding feature. That is KEY. Without that I wouldn't be able to park while on vacation without requiring more than one parking space (or I'd have to remove the whole thing which is not always possible). At any rate, this thing rocks! Highly recommend.
I actually purchased this carrier in Aug 2015 so Ive had it for 3 summers. It remains one of the best purchases Ive ever made. I only use it once or twice a year but it has extended the life and use of my Outback. For [the money] you really cant ask for more. Worth every penny.
Great product. Easy assembly perfect size and weight. I've ordered several products from etrailer. Shipping, customer service and install videos are great! I added reflective tape seen in picture. Thanks

Thule Force XT XL Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black AeroSkin
Customer service was excellent and shipping was right on time. I use this cargo holder to transport a large dog crate and a grooming table across the country. I've found this to be more than up to the challenge of not only holding what I need but when mounting and dismounting the carrier. I carry a small stepladder in my car to assist me. It only takes me 5 minutes to mount or dismount this unit from my Outback. Caution...It's a bit awkward to carry this alone into the garage or out to the car due to car the size of the unit, not the weight. Just plan ahead and you'll be ok.
Excellent product!

24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I waited to use this for a weekend camping trip before the review. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of it loaded with firewood and the cooler. It worked great. Didn't hear any wobbles or rattles. I definitely knew it was there when riding over humps and dips in the road. My only complaint was that the expanded metal mesh was too small to allow the hooks of my ratchet straps through to secure items using the mid-rack supports. I was able to get bungee hooks through just fine though.
Very happy with purchase of cargo carrier. Arrived within week and less than 30 min to assemble. Installed on 2016 Suburu, used as cargo carrier, firewood carrier, and as kitchen counter while car camping. Did not block license plate or rear lights on car with cargo bag. Added reflective tape to back side.

24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Product fits just right on our 2011 Subaru Outback. Combined with the anti-rattle lock and etrailer cargo bag; a great combination. Rain and snow and no leaks. Just right...
We're very happy with this purchase; it's spacious and easy to install. We have a Subaru Outback. Combined with a rooftop carrier, we were able to move all of our daughter's things into her college dorm in one trip!

Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
Others stated directions were hard to follow but my husband had it installed on my 2007 Subaru Outback Wagon in less than an hour by himself the only thing I helped with was lifting it up and off the roof of the car. I chose Thule because they stand behind their product. Thule is the best cargo roof basket available on the market and they back it up with a Lifetime Warranty! I have not had any cargo in it yet but have had it up to 75 miles an hour with no wind drag empty. There is a speed rating on this basket of 80 miles an hour so I wonder if the wind complaint reviewers are driving in excess of 80 miles an hour. No matter what vehicle you put it on it has a nice, sleek, sturdy appearance. From what I have researched the less expensive roof cargo baskets only have up to a 2 year warranty and are plagued by rust issues.
My cargo basket arrived so fast and in perfect condition. I had planned to order this item from the dealer when I recently bought my 2021 Subaru Outback, but when they told me this Thule Canyon XT was backordered until August, I decided to check online. etrailer had it in stock and shipped next day! All the positive reviews I read are very accurate. Happy customer here!

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 57" Long x 42" Wide - 165 lbs
The rack is excellent, sturdy, just what I wanted. The order and delivery process were superb. I think e-trailer has excellent service. My only minor complaint is that the assembly instructions could be much better. Simply a few pictures, with no words is not really adequate. e-trailer's video helped a bit, but still putting some of the minor pieces together takes more guesstimates and multiple tries.
Great product and easy to put together and install by myself. Cant wait to use it on our upcoming camping trip.

32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 400 lbs
This item was manufactured very badly. I cannot assemble it there are so many manufacturing defects. There are six holes where carriage bolts are supposed to be inserted. All but one are covered or encroached on by the steel grate that is the floor of the basket. This prevents the carriage bolts from being inserted far enough to keep them from rotating. Furthermore, carriage bolts are supposed to have a square segment right under the hear of the bolt. This is intended to fit into a square hole and keep it from rotating. The carriage bolts that came with this are chamfered under the head, so much so there is nothing to keep them from turning even if the holes were not covered. This item is so big and heavy it will likely cost too much to ship it back.
I only gave an average rating because the carrier was not easy to assemble without slight modification. The bolt holes for assembly were blocked by the steel mesh. I cut the mesh that covered several of the holes with a rotary disc cutter.

Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Titan Glossy
Buying experience with etrailer.com was easy and fast. Ordered it and received within a week as promised. This was the only retailer that had the Thule Motion XT XL Titanium in stock. I liked that I could track the status of my order even through the shipping coming down to an estimated ETA. As for the box, it looks great on our Wilderness Green 2016 3.6R Outback. The Outback has silver trim along the windows and other areas so it looks nice and we thought the lighter colored box would not absorb as much heat during travel. Fits perfectly and we have about a cm that cleared our garage opening (I think our opening was the standard 81-83 inches). My husband and 12 year old son installed it. My son gave it a 4 for install because the clamps didn't catch just right so it took a few tries to clamp it down. Durability was a 5. He said they scraped it against a few things moving it from garage to the car and then into the basement to store it and didn't scratch up the finish too bad. They took it for a drive with an empty box. My husband said there was a bit of noise but nothing terrible. Another forum said the noise could be due to holes in the design of the original factory installed roof rack. We will find the holes and plug them up to see if that fixes it. My husband said he will feel better if he uses additional straps to tie it down to the roof rack as another precaution to ensure the box doesn't fly off. I forgot to take a picture, but trust me, the Titanium looks good and the XL fits! We considered the Yakima 16 cubic feet Skybox, but for the styling, extra 2 cubic ft with same length box, and the fact we will take this off and on quite a bit for weekend getaways, we thought it was worth the extra money.

Yakima SkinnyWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket Review - 2022 Subaru Outback Wagon
What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to checking out the Yakima Skinny Warrior rooftop cargo basket, on our 2022 Subaru Outback wagon. The Skinny Warrior fits nicely on your Subaru factory roof rack, that's what we're using today. Now the one thing is that since there's not a much overhang, there's not a lot of space up here on the roof rack, but you can see the Skinny Warrior fits up there with room to spare, So it's nice that it doesn't take up that much space and the open space on this side over here, you could add probably a bike rack on there, or maybe a ski care or something like that, that way you can maximize the capacity of your roof. All things metal, black powder-coated steel, so you don't have to worry about if you want to just leave it on your roof all the time, it's going to be all right, the elements aren't going to bother it. Now it mounts with these clamps here, and they go, so what you do is the hand knobs and you just loosen this.

It's a good option, just because if you have the open design here on the outside, plenty of room to run those straps and tie down your cargo. It's open up on the back side too. It's got the wind visor, wind deflector on the front that you can't remove.

Now on the Subaru, you know we are getting a decent amount of space in the back here but especially when you start getting some of those longer hauls, you don't want to start taking some of those big, heavy coolers with us. This can be an excellent way of just extending that cargo space and allowing us to get a lot more friends and family in our vehicle.

Starting off with our ground clearance, we're going to have about 14-1/2". Overall to our vehicle, we're adding about 24-1/2" and our closest point is going to be about 4-3/4".
Its been a year since I purchased this and I used it on another vacation, driving through multiple states. Its very sturdy and I continue to be pleased with this purchase. I will say I had some trouble with the hitch bolt again. It was impossible to screw in by hand and using an adjustable wrench is a tedious chore. I didnt have time before leaving on the trip to do what I did the last time wd-40lithium. It would be nice to have a better locking system...something other than a bolt that screws in. Ill have to look for that. All things considered, Im still happy with this rack and I would still recommend it. Im sure Im going to be using this for many more years.
