Is there a Thule Basket and bag that will fit my 2024 Subaru Outback XT with sunroof? I dont want bag sitting on roof

Hello Lynette, thanks for reaching out. It is possible to outfit your 2024 Subaru Outback XT with a Thule roof basket and cargo bag. The best way to do this while keeping everything up off the sunroof is to install a roof rack with crossbars, like the Thule WingBar Evo Roof Rack # TH54GG. This will attach to the factory rails on your Subaru, and it gives you two 43" long aero crossbars for attaching a cargo basket.
For a Thule basket you can then use the Thule Canyon XT # TH859XT-8591XT which is 69" x 40" x 6" and attaches directly to the crossbars. You could use any bag that fits inside these dimensions, but if you want to stick with a Thule, what I recommend is the Thule Interstate Rooftop Cargo Bag # TH869.
Please note we do not recommend opening the sunroof with the roof rack and basket installed. There is no guarantee the roof glass would not contact the bars when opening. Also, these kind of roof accessories can generate a bit of road noise, so usually you wouldn't want to open the sunroof anyways. It would be pretty loud.
