Vent Cover for Ventline Old Style Rounded Dome Trailer Roof Vents - White
The order was processed quickly and I was kept informed on the status with e-mails. Vent cover installation and fit up was easy. The mate up of the existing open/close mechanism was a little "fussy". But a re-review of the included instructions confirmed the correct orientation. After I applied a small amount of grease to the friction retaining clip and slide, it was working as good as new.
Pleasantly pleased with this vent cover. Its fit over the roof opening of our 20 year old hay trailer was a bit tight so the plastic dome wouldn't descend flush to the trailer roof. It seemed the closing edge opposite the hinge was bowed inward a little. (Might have been compressed during shipping, but the outside of the box was not damaged). Anyway, I was able to gently bend it outward without damage using a channel lock on the supporting galvanized brace which runs from the hinge to the opposite side. The excellent instructional video attached to the dome part on etrailer's digital shopping catalogue was very helpful. I changed the screen too. I was able to find an older style screen on the Walmart website which did not require me to drill a new hole for the crank handle as demonstrated in the instructional video on the etrailer.com site. At half the price as etrailer's screen and double the shipping cost from Walmart, cost for replacing my vent dome was a horse apiece. Thanks etrailer. I'm very happy.

Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Metal
I just got the trailer roof vent, and it is a great product. I unboxed it and noticed it was made of quality material. The top half had nice wide corners with several predrilled holes for easy installation. The inside plastic parts were sturdy and well designed to fit just right. I will be replacing an old plastic roof vent on my 6x12 enclosed trailer. This roof vent will be a life saver because of its quality, and it will be able to handle the years of being in the elements to come. Plastic just doesn't last at all in elements. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to save themselves a lot of time and money replacing the plastic model roof vents by purchasing one of these. Great Job folks!
No more breaking the roof vent on the trailer when shoveling off snow! Customer service was also excellent and shipped fast!

Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - White
Shipping was above average, very quick. Product was what I expected, HOWEVER The last one I purchased from another co. Included all the required screws. I was miffed when I opened the box and saw no screws, and the directions which I do not need were for a different application. Overall pleased.
Was missing the retaining clips on both items. The old ones were ok.

Vent Cover for Ventline Old-Style Rounded Dome Trailer Roof Vents - Smoke
My experience with etrailer could not have been better. Their online catalog had very good pictures and product description, so I was confident the I was ordering the right item for my application. Pricing was competitive. George J emailed me after I placed the order to let me know he upgraded my shipping so I could get the product sooner. The vent covers came well packaged and undamaged. Now I need to install them on my vintage 1964 Airstream Overlander, which I bought several years ago and rehabilitated. The white plastic vent covers I installed several years ago became brittle and crumbled. I hope the smoke colored ones I bought from etrailer will last a bit longer, but the price was so fair I bought an extra pair for the next time.
The roof vents that I purchased was exactly what I needed! The shipping was fast. I installed them myself yesterday and it was pretty simple! I have purchased from etrailer.com before and have been very pleased with my purchases! Thank you!

Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Smoke
So far it's holding up with no leaks. Kind of on the flimsy side comparing to the one removed but easy to install. Couldn't use the trim ring inside but after a year still looks new and the lifting/lowering mechanism works smoothly. Overall a good price for the quality.
Installed this vent into my Haulmark Transport 6'x12' enclosed trailer. Installation was easy, I cut a 14.25" x 14.25" inch hole between two crossmembers in the roof and dropped it in place. Because the roof on this enclosed trailer is so thin, I used a piece of 3/8" plywood so sandwich between the interior garnish and actual vent. I cut the same size hole into the plywood and left a 2" lip all around. I use 28 #8 x 5/8" stainless screws to hold it in place, pre-drilled with 1/8" bit. I then used roofing tar to seal the vent and put masking tape all around, leave 1" from the flange to ensure good coverage. I then removed the masking tape, leaving nice clean lines. Interior garnish is held in place by #8 x 3/8" galvanized screws. Huge kudos to etrailer for carrying such awesome products for great low prices and offering super cheap shipping to Canada!

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke
Put this in to get heat out of semi. Open side vent and turn fan on high exhaust wow what a game changer.
Initially I was real apprehensive about getting this fan installed on my 16’ Casita. Not because I didn’t want the fan, believe me I did. The specifications alone were impressive, but the ability to run it like a ceiling fan, with the vent closed was hands down the most impressive feature. Something my little Dachshund Cinnamon would surely attest to. The front mounted ac unit in the 16’ Casita benifits greatly from this fan, it circulates the air better, cools things quicker and, helps maintain the temperature better. There is little information about putting this on a Casita, much less a 16’ one, but I’m happy with my decision to do so. This fan is awesome, and Etrailer was very helpful with information on my purchase. Another note was that I’m happy Terry my installer did this project, the factory installed Fan was riveted in from the top, and removing it wouldn’t have been a typical by the book procedure. Thanks George J. I’m one happy camper, and that’s without mentioning the remote control, air flow on low settings, great price, fast delivery, or quietness of the product. Sincerely, A. McCord Sgt. US Army Ret.

Metal Low Profile Replacement Cover
I waited several months before writing a review so that I could make sure this replacement cover didn't leak. It hasn't! It was really easy to install which I did myself. For reference, I'm a 53 year old woman. Our trailer is an enclosed aluminum trailer, and this cover fit perfectly.
The cover came very quickly and securely in the mail, very durable, well constructed and stream-lined. Installed fairly easily with your on line installation Tudors. Unfortunately my base has a different type hinge, so a few minor challenges, but for the most part doable. I still need to find a friction clip to secure my top to the actuator mechanism, but hopefully I can find it locally. Our Arizona sun destroys most plastics as our original cover had failed in about five years. I am very pleased with my new cover top, looking to it meeting and exceeding our needs!

Replacement Dome Assembly for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Smoke - Wedge Shape - Plastic
The numbers on the original vent are "AS-13 M-VDO449". The correct item number to order is BVD0449-A03 (for smoke color). There is a note on the etrailer site about this issue for a white cover, but they don't specifically tell you which item number to order for the smoke color. Printed instructions on the new vent were excellent in most respects. But there was nothing about how to remove the safety clip from the outside of the camper. More importantly, reinstalling the clip was the hardest aspect of this replacement. To remove the vent, you must first go inside and remove the black handle, screen, plastic cowling and plastic separator. You must then remove the two screws holding the cranking assembly in order to remove the white plastic slide from the vent. I was able to remove the clip by slipping a small flat head screwdriver under the top of the metal clip and prying it up carefully to avoid breaking or bending it too far. The new cover is then easily placed under the camper's hinge tabs and lifted into place. You may need to try to install the metal clip first so you can see how it fits together. In the photo the top of the clip is on the right while the left shows the extra tab which goes under the plastic vent. It took me a good 20 minutes to get the metal clip to seat properly over the two metal tabs on the vent frame.
These vents work well and they are a perfect fit if you are replacing existing ventadome vents. The Smoke color is my favorite, lets plenty of light in, but does not produce any glare. They are a bit difficult to change if damaged. They are also susceptible to grape sized hail damage resulting in cracks and leaks. 4 Stars because changing them required removing the inner trim ring, screen, screen support frame and leaver arm assembly. I also wish they offered a thicker or hardened version for those of us who deal with hail all summer.

Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" - White - Birch Trim
I’m writing this review before installing the vent so I can’t attest to its durability/longevity. This is a lightweight unit but it should suffice for use about three times a year for a couple of days at a time. This unit is affordable; well under $200. It is a next step up from a passive vent with no fan.
Five stars to E-Trailer for processing my order same day and getting it on UPS Ground where it took the three days to get delivered in time for my install on the weekend. I'm assuming this product deserves 5 stars as well since it is what it was advertised to be. My only minor ding is for the two missing screws that are needed to hold the screen in place. The $20 for the 'installation kit' shipped a tube of urethane caulking two sets of screws, one for the mounting topside (plenty, thank you) and the bottom ones for the trim. But did not see the short 1/2"? for the screen. I had to use my old ones, one of which fell down a floor vent so I need to hit up a hardware store for it. The vent went in with little effort. Just took my time scraping off the old caulking and used plumbers putty, instead of the caulking for under the flange (in case I have to rip this up again). The tube provided just enough for a thick coat of goo to cover the flange and where it meets the roof. I have a rubber roof, so this was perfect. I'll rate the other things I purchased once I install and use them.

Dometic FanTastic Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4"
The 2250 Fantastic Fan still working great after a year! Pretty quiet and the thermostat is a handy feature that works well. In my application, it has a tendency to open itself while driving around unless it has been cranked down fairly hard. Driving with it open doesn't seem to be a problem other than the outside noise that comes in that way. My application was a fiberglass raised top on a Chevy van. I had to make a wood frame as the fiberglass did not provide a flat surface to mount to. Photos below show inside frame, fan, and insulation.
This is the second Fantastic fan I have purchased to replace the two vent fans on an older Airstream trailer. Fit, form and function are perfect for my needs. Installation was easy and the fan works perfect.

Replacement Dome Assembly for Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - White - Wedge Shape - Plastic
I bought this to replace my crumbling and cracked vent on my 20ft car hauler encased trailer. It was a direct fit and easy to install.
Fit perfect! Was just what I needed. There was even a video showing how to install. It even shows other related and parts that connect to the part incase those may be needed as well.

Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent - Manual - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - White - Birch Trim
It’s been one year (1/4/23) since I purchased and installed these products on my 1994 Airstream Trailer. The complete kit was more than adequate for my job given that the trailer had a few other areas requiring attention or needing the self-leveling sealer. I waited for the ideal conditions (weather, temperature, and time of day) before applying the parts and sealing a few other external components. We’ve had several rain events and temperature swings and these products have held up very well. The trailer serves more as an office now which increases the importance for not having leaks! This was a great choice to select these projects and particularly, from this vendor. They were very responsive and quick to get the order out. Thanks to George and his Team! Happy New Year 2024
Simple replacement and it has held up well. I plan to to add a vent cover over the top so I can left this open in the Summer and not worry about the rain.

Dometic FanTastic Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Remote - Powered Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4"
I love the fan. I had a manual one in the trailer I purchased and I couldn't reach it without a stool. I am 75 and that wasn't going to work
Installation was easy and a perfect fit for my 2021 Airstream 16RB (replacing a 3 speed Fan-Tastic unit). I like the speed range of this fan, and how quiet it is when set to 50% and lower, big improvement. However, all the other features (rain sensor, temperature setting, reversible direction), not so impressed with. I don't like the fact the fan turns on at full speed every time I switch on the battery disconnect (applying 12v power). Why is this necessary? I also have a hard time determining which direction fan is pushing air (pulling air into the trailer does not produce strong air flow), and maybe the vent cover is preventing good air flow. It would be nice if there was an LED on the remote or unit to indicate direction (forward or reverse). I know that sounds silly, but I put my hand up to the unit and can't feel which direction the air is flowing, it's just moving around. I ignored recommendations to go with a Max Air unit, and if I had it to do over, I would install a Max Air instead with built-in cover. I may even do that anyway just to have a better fan and cleaner look.

MaxxFan Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - White
Negative first. BEWARE, the "white" lid on this fan is opaque, not translucent. It says neither of these words on the product page. I assumed it was translucent like every other white lid I've seen in person, and I got that thing well glued and screwed before I realized my bathroom is now a cave. If you want the cave look, or pick the "smoke" option, it's a good unit otherwise. The fan performs very well. It has extremely strong suction. Also, it's very quiet and when running, the blades visually disappear and overall it's a good looking design. Control is simple, but a little confusing at first with the dedicated off button (as opposed to off being included in the speed cycles). Side note, the suction is so good, I now know that I have a vapor leak from my black tank... Fun times.
Very easy installation. I'm an average do-it-yourselfer and had no problems. I replaced one of the original vents in a 20 year old Airstream. The hardest part of the installation was removing the old vent, Airstream didn't skimp on the adhesive. The Maxxfan looks good inside and out and the fan is very quiet. I was very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the whole unit. I've already ordered another one to replace the other original vent.

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - Smoke
I installed this myself on a vintage camper. It fit perfect in the space where the old vent was. Wiring was simple, and cutting down the bezel was easy. I have left this open for months and even in storms and no rain gets in. Being able to keep it open keeps the camper from getting musty. I also like the tinted skylight effect it gives.
Work great, no problems with rain, snow or leaks. With solar panels we leave both fans on while Class A is unoccupied to keep humidity down and temperature cooler inside rig. We are very satisfied

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - White
This Exceeded our expectations; we didn't know that this would have such an impact on how much air was moved by this vent fan. I was in, then out of the "Doghouse" for the cost of this (the wife did her own research after I had) and then the wait; the unit this replaced was leaking water as it rained outside. Within a week of ordering this it was delivered, and the following day I got it installed. Installation directions were very simple to understand/follow; the hard part was removing the old vent fan and caulk. Another "Bonus" was how quite this is compared to the original.
Excellent fan. Correction to the etrailer description. The lid can be opened and left open without the fan running, either with the remote control, a wired wall control or by the manual knob on the fan. It can be partially to fully opened by using the manual knob. The optional wired wall control works great for those who can't reach the ceiling control panel on the fan. I have 4 of the 07000K fans in 2 campers, all with wireless remotes and wired wall mount control panels.

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Manual Lift - 10 Speed - White
I have two of these installed in our stepvan - they were one of the first things we installed during the build process, and thank goodness we did because they kept us cooler during the summer build. Easy to use, the multiple-fan settings are nice, and the exhaust feature can pull a lot of air. We don't have AC, so these fans make a huge difference in pulling out hot air and replacing with outside air. Great service from etrailer - I ordered the wrong fan the first time and they were great to work with in getting another shipped out to me.
Installed this 15 months ago, worked pretty well, bearings make some noise, and fan has slight wobble, but worse-off, just this week began to turn on by itself, and via the control panel would sometimes turn off when I pressed the power button, but most buttons just don't do anything when pressed. I had to disconnect the power, then re-connect, and, at first, it would be okay, but now it just stays on at a high speed when connected to power and unable to change anything on it, power, speed, direction. > > Now it just turns on when I connect power, and none of the control panel buttons do anything. > > It is connected to 12 V system 2 100 ah lithium batteries to buss bar and fuse box. >What a shame at over $200 you would think this would last at least 3-5 years. But, I suppose these days of cheap manufacturing and execs making more top dollar, well, we consumers pay the price. > What can be done to fix this control panel issue?
