Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Roller - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs
This is my first hitch. I decided to go this route after finding out the dealership wanted over 1500 to install rails hitch and plug. Install was not too aweful bad I did the install in about 4 hours of everything. I took my time so nothing would be screwed up. The install videos where awesome and very discriptive.
The unit was as described and installed without a hitch (no pun intended). This unit went into a new GMC 1500 and we did not have to cut anything to install the mounting bolts -- but it was a bear to get the nuts on the bolts and then tighten. I used a universal (free) installation kit and we had to weld the braces to the frame. eTrailer always delivers on time and so far always with the correct product - wouldn't think of going to any other company.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 13,000 lbs
Wow, where to begin. I can't imagine towing a 5th wheel trailer in a shorter bed truck without an autoslide setup. After the initial install I noted on the 2nd(?) trip a clunking noise during acceleration after a stop - a couple emails back and forth with Demco support, as well as a quick phone call, and it was all sorted out (user error) with no further issues - Thank you Demco! I tow a short & light Jayco 5th wheel with a 1/2 ton shortbed and having the ability to drive, turn, and park the camper without having to get out of the truck to manually engage or disengage a slide on the hitch has made for much more relaxing weekends away. The Hijacker autoslide gives PLENTY of space between the camper and cab and I've never had to worry, but I did my homework and ran the numbers well before I purchased my hitch so I wasn't surprised. I would say the only downside for me would be the weight and bulkiness of the hitch. Not having the means to easily remove and store it between trips, the hitch is forced to live in the bed of the truck right now, but I did know about the weight going into the purchase. All in all, for the peace of mind the Demco autoslide gives me, I'd spend the money all over again.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 18,000 lbs
Demco auto slide hitch works very well with my crew cab short bed Ram. Fits under my tonneau cover nicely. Trouble free thus far. Had to purchase a Demco plate for the camper to make the Rhino box hitch work. etrailer personnel were great in helping ensure I had the right products and kept me well informed of shipping dates.
My wife and I are full-time RVers, and have used this slider hitch from the get-go while traveling around seeing the country over the past year. We are happy with our purchase, which has proven to be both easy to hook up, adjust, and functions well, as advertised. The only matter I think you may want to address are the thick plastic removable maintenance access covers which tend to bow, and the areas around the attachment holes have melted, in the hot weather. Perhaps instead using a light metal for the covers would be better solution. We are very happy overall with this hitch, and plan to keep it . Thank you.

B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 18,000 lbs
It came complete and was as described. I haven't used it yet so I can't give it a five star.
From the start, the folks at etrailer were very courteous and helpful. I called many times during the decision making process and everyone was always right there to help. When I finally decided to purchase the B&W 18K Patriot w/slider Bailey was there to help with the order. She explained the free freight shipping and it was a done deal. It arrived 1 day earlier than stated, as soon as I opened the cartons it was in fact the good ol' American made quality I was accustomed to growing up. I proceeded to install on the B&W rails I purchased and installed locally on my 2022 F250 Lariat/ Tremor.I had a small hick- up with the install and etrailer gave me B&W's # as they like to handle issues themselves. Stephanie at B&W was just as courteous. Overall a very pleasant experience. The Patriot was basically plug and play. I then connected my 2021 Grand Design 303RLS Reflection and rolled down yhe road. What a smooth and quiet ride, loved it! I would definitely recommend etrailer and their products. Thank you all that helped.

Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R16 Slider - Dual Jaw - 16,000 lbs
Locking mechanism for slide is loose and of poor quality causing alot of chucking in the hitch when traveling down the road. The safety indicator shows green and red at the same time. I would not recommend,
Delivery was on time, very good price. In the past when I had a problem with an item I got good service they make sure I was happy. THANK YOU ETRAILER

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Under Bed - 13,000 lbs
The hitch is great. I installed it myself and it worked very well pulling a 5th Wheel Trailer across the country last year. I have learned however that one must start out from corners slower to avoid a large "clunk" as the hitch slides in the frame per the inherent design. Great Product!

B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20K
This is my first fifth wheel so I’m not sure what to expect out of a hitch. This hitch has worked flawless. I have a 2019 Chevy 3500hd pulling a 42 foot 12500 pound camper empty. It’s quiet and smooth. I have pulled it over my local train tracks and through the mountains of Tennesse without an issue. I have nothing bad to say about this hitch it does what I need it to do!! I will say I’m fairly particular about the equipment I buy, you get what you pay for, and this hitch has not let me down. I have done every thing from 100 mile weekend trips to a 1500 mile vacation with out an issue. You can separate it into two parts for a easy removal, if necessary, with the removal of a couple pins. This product doesn’t need pictures to show you what it does. If I ever get another truck I will be using a B & W hitch!!!
The hitch arrived a day earlier than expected. It came in two cartons, well packed and in excellent shape. Each carton was about 70 pounds so be prepared to move them. I had access to a hand truck that made it much easier. The quality and overall construction looks to be top rate. Once everything was unpacked, assembly took 30 minutes, and installation of the base then the head took 10 minutes. Installed in the truck bed the hitch is rock solid when connected to the Ford puck system. I only had to adjust one of the four handles slightly to get it locked in. I'll be towing our 16k 5th wheel 1500 miles to Florida in a few weeks. Anxious to try it out.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Ford Super Duty Prep Package - 18K
Well built fifth wheel hitch. Haven't got a chance to tow our new Montana High Country 295RL. But I know a guy that has towed his fifth wheel with this same hitch. I'm sure this 18K hitch will be excellent! Or I wouldn't have bought it. I recommend e trailer for everything.
Very happy with my Demco Autoslide hitch after one year. We pull a Montana 3120 35 ft 5th wheel with a 2019 Ford F-350 short bed. Took a month long 6,000 mile trip from Colorado to New England/Canada this Summer. Lots of hilly/curvy roads and some remote campgrounds with tight corners and some near 80 degree back ins. Never came close to trailer contacting the truck. I’ve had no jerking or other issues when turning or stoping/starting. Works great. The only drawback is there isn’t much room for error when you back up to hook up the trailer, so it takes a little practice to get used to correctly lining up your Demco Hitch to the trailer. The first couple of trips, it took me 3 or 4 attempts to properly line it up. No longer an issue for me after a few trips and you get used to the angles. It weighs about 300 pounds. I got a small chain hoist which I installed in my garage rafters and easily lift the hitch in and out of my truck and just let it hang front he rafters until I need to use it.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Underbed - 18,000 lbs
This was the best solution for my Dodge RAM 2500 towing my Alliance 340RL 38' 5th Wheel. My son helped me install the rails under the bed and now it is very easy to remove the hitch when I am not using it. It is very strong and I highly recommend this for anyone with a short bed truck.
When you use google chrome it does not move you to the next page to custom fit. So it just tells you your truck shows you the product and I order 6k worth of items without putting in the custom specs that you don't know to hit. Somehow with the info I put in my two other products work but this one doesn't and I have to pay for shipping to this to fix it. Wish if you ordered 6k worth of Items they would be a little more understanding that their site does not walk you what needs to be done and help you fix the problem without charging you more. Prep and Puck systems are two different things now I know.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Above Bed - 21,000 lbs
This review is for the Demco Autoslide 21k and accompanying OEM rail adaptor I purchased for a 2020 Ram 3500 Megacab DRW. I've owned it one year. Overall, the hitch performs as I expected. It is high quality, very sturdy and seems like it will last for a long time. I had it installed at the dealer when I purchased the truck. It automatically slides to protect the cab in my 6'4" bed without any incidents. I tow a standard fifth wheel RV. There are a few negatives, which are not necessarily shortcoming of the product but, instead, necessary evils to allow me to have a short bed. First, it is BIG and BULKY. I believe this is just a function of the mechanism required to allow the autosliding feature and I am not really sure there are any other lighter alternatives with this feature. The fact it requires two parts (OEM Puck Rail and hitch), make it even more bulky. It takes up almost the entire bed and prevents most auxillary tank / tool box combos from fitting. Even standard size storage bins will not fit in my bed. I would prefer if they had a custom OEM all-in-one hitch for my truck like they do for the Ford. It adds significant weight, which decreases carrying capacity, which can be at a premium in hauling a heavy fifth wheel. I've never even tried to take it out of the bed due to the weight and difficulty. I also am not very happy with the adjustable catch plate design. It requires significant manipulation loosening and tightening 8 nuts when hitching and unhitching. This requires a step ladder to reach the nuts. I also found out after the fact that it does not come with the right size catch plate attachments for my hitch and I had to purchase a separate part, which added unexpected expense and delayed my taking the RV on its first trip. Overall, I am satisfied with the hitch.
I wish the place I bought my camper would have recommended this from the start. Makes owning a 5th wheel so much easier!

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Ford Super Duty Prep Package - 21K
Very high quality product. Used on a extended cab short bed F250 and the sliding mechanism provides plenty of clearance between the Fifth Wheel front and the truck's cab. Fits Ford's factory fifth wheel bed mount holes perfectly. Used to tow a 42' fifth wheel regularly. Foot print is small enough to allow me to retain my tool box in the truck during towing. The hitch is heavy! Do not plan to try to install with one person with out an engine hoist or gantry crane. Two strong people can, but extreme caution should be taken as the hitch weighs nearly 300lbs and is awkward.
I have a F350 Super Duty Short bed. This slider works as expected. The ease of backing or tight turns makes this product excellent without the need to pulls pins for extension. I can remove or install in 7 minutes without a problem without any assistance. I am pulling a 44 foot trailer and have not experience any chucking or sway even in windy conditions. Tows very smoothly

Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs
Bolt coming out on roller wheel, rusts very quick, and locking arms don’t pull that well or easy from outside of the bed
Doesn't operate as easily as I hoped. Sticks when trying to slide which means jumping in and out of cab many times. Also its heavy as it should be,but it doesn't come apart easily for removal in two pieces that can be lifted separately. You need a winch to remove it safely. Its a pain in the you know what. I like my old two piece hitch better. I could take it in and out in a few minutes, but it won't work in my new f350.

Curt Q25 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R24 Slider - Dual Jaw - 24,000 lbs
Showed up just in time to install and cross a few states to pick up our 1st new 5th wheel. Easy installation and showed up a few days early.
Overall very happy with my Curt 5th wheel 24k hitch. I’m happy it came in pieces because of the weight totally assembled. Release spring for the slide is pretty stiff but I wouldn’t want it disengaging while driving down the road. Thanks for all your help Justin and your prompt service.

Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs
Great Hitch, very happy with this unit. Have pulled the 18K lb fifth wheel over 25K miles (Florida to Idaho, back to Florida and now Alaska). We have covered many rough roads and challenging situations, without problems and have never had a bad couple. The hitch indicator on front of head gives a clear indication of latching condition, and the latch handle has a locking pin for added protection. This pin is the only issue I have had, which can be trapped under the slide plate if your truck is at an angle (beyond about 35 deg) from the rv. I make it a point to pull this pin prior to backing if I am the least bit concerned. This is a great hitch! Excellent quality and it's made here in America.
This is very well built and operates great. Once I got the first rail positioned and mounted, everything else was very easy. The R20 slider came in a single box and was very heavy. The packaging is not suitable for the weight. As others have also reported, the package was completely demolished when it arrived. Thankfully , all the part’s made it okay and nothing was damaged. I love the product.

Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw - Underbed - 21,000 lbs
This hitch has been used daily since i purchased it. I deliver fifth wheel travel trailers all over the country. This hitch has worked flawlessly from day one. This hitch is one of the only products that I've ever bought that is exactly what it was described to be. Im not one to do reviews, so the fact that im doing this one , in itself, says a lot about the quality of your product. The design and looks are much better than any other hitch ive seen. It just looks better in the truck bed than others do.
Instructions left alittle to interpretation when it came to hitch height in the bed of the truck. For a f350 super duty it is the medium set up. Save you some time and effort. Other then that it looks great and will be testing it out this weekend.
