We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a close look, and show off some of the features. Our cradles are adjustable along the arms here, and that's going to accommodate loading and unloading. It's grips your bike at three points. That's going to be the two straps up at the top, and one off to the side. The cradles also have these indentions here so that your cables and all that will fit through there and not get smashed against the frame once you have them installed. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is attached to the rack, we're going to have two points of contact with no frame contact at all. Instead, we're going to have a rear wheel strap here, and then we're going to have this skewer mount here which will grip our bike by its front fork mounts. The skewer is lockable, so once you attach this bike to the bike rack and lock it in place, it's secured to the bike rack as well. With everything installed as it is, we're not going to have any issues of clearance between the trunk and the bike rack itself, as you can see here.

Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first I like to show off is the fact that it has an integrated cable lock here at the end. You can pull it out and wrap it around your bikes and then attach it to this point here and lock it down to secure your bikes to the rack. The cradles themselves are adjustable to accommodate loading and unloading, and they have this shock-absorbent material here on the top and it is padded, so your bike's frame won't get scratched up once it's being installed. It'll grip your bike at three points. We have two straps up at the top and one off to the side here, and that's going to serve as an anti-sway cradle to keep your bike from moving too far back and forth and making bike-to-bike contact. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. With the bike rack in this position, I'm going to give you a quick measurement.

Today on our 2017 Toyota Corolla, we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat NV 2.0 Two-Bike Platform Rack, part number NV12G. Now, one of the really nice features of this bike rack is that it does tilt away without having to remove your bike. As you can see, we still have plenty of room to get anything in or out of trunk from either side. To put the back back in position, simply lift up. It'll lock right into place. Now, you're going to have two points of contact just to keep your bike secure. You're going to have a front hook here on the front wheel, and then on the back, you're going to have a strap to keep your bike secure. To remove the bike, simply push in on the lever and pull the strap out.
