This made it easy with help to crank it up into place and hold it while it was bolted to the rails. Total intallation came out looking perfect. Every part fit together perfectly.

I installed this yesterday, along with the Companion 5th Wheel Hitch. Very good instructions, well written, great illustrations. Everything fit perfectly, no struggles with alignment. Very good hardware. Looks to be very sturdily built, the welds looks great. One thing to look out for - on my 2016 Chev 3500 anyway, the exhaust is in the way of drilling the passenger side retractable chain hook holes. You will need an angle drill or drill with a flexible extension cable. Or get your steel rule out and do some serious measuring like I did and drill the holes from the top down. I drilled the accessible driver's side, then transposed those measurements to the passenger side and drilled from the top using a small drill. After hitting the hole, I used progressively larger drills until I found the edge of the 1/2" hole in the center plate, then hogged out the hole the rest of the way with a Dremel grinder. Not a big deal, just had to get a little creative. Over all, excellent experience, from the purchase, the help from customer service (fantastic people!), fast delivery and easy install. Big fan of the B&W Hitches. I can easily switch between by gooseneck ball and fifth wheel head easily and still don't have to worry about the in bed rails being in the way. Plus, they're American made! I received the hitch on time and actually earlier than expected. Fairly easy to install. There are two bolts that are kind of a pain, one is in a tight spot above the fuel tank, and the other is hard to tighten with the safety pin for the ball in the way - had to use an open-end wrench to get those tightened. Regardless, got it in with just one person in about an hour and a half.

I bought this one over the Curt because the video reviewer thought this unit was a tighter fit into the platform. The one I got is somewhat loose in the new Chevy I have, so I don't know if the ball is undersize or the truck is oversize. I guess I need to look for some specs somewhere. Otherwise the parts look great. Hope to be using them soon. Nice to have a good carrying case, so I store these hitch parts in the camper until I use them.

This is an awesome product and easy to use. The storage case it comes with is a plus! Would definitely recommend.

I purchased the Curt Spyder Hitch for our GMC 3500 truck to pull a 24 ft stock combo horse trailer. The rails were already in the truck when we bought it. Easy to install and take off when not needed. Pulls great. etrailer had the best price, and has great service. Very pleased with product. We needed a hitch that was centered and not offset for our truck and this was the one.

The hitch is very solid and fit like a glove. Very well designed. Instructions were clear and accurate. Installed this on my 2016 Mega cab 3500 in a couple of hours by myself. Hitched up the camper and took a short trip, no problems at all.

After receiving the parts that were missing from the original order, the hitch was finally installed today, it took more then the 3 hours the video implied, I haven't pulled with it yet, but looking forward to it.. The company was very courteous, very helpful, shipped the missing part promptly. I will do business with them again.

Just received my new Curt's goose neck ball kit for my 2018 Dodge 3500.Parts all appear to be of high quality and very nice hard plastic storage case. Test fits into my factory installed 5th wheel goose neck prep kit assembly, have not yet pulled my goose neck trailer but I'm confident this kit will function just fine . Shipping was quick buying experience great. I will be a return customer with etrailer for my future trailer needs. Thanks Guys !

Excellent product and easy to use.

For the price of the product, packaging was terrible, product arrived with paint missing from several large areas due to shipping damage. Box was barely intact when it arrived. Also was missing one of the large grade 8 4.25” long bolts. So after a trip to the hardware store to replace the missing bolt and buy some paint to fix the damaged finish, got it installed pretty easy.

Excellent underbody hitch system. Installation went well once the body was off. If your installing on a late model ford you may want to be sure you have new bed bolts available. Ford says they are not reusable for some reason but it did not matter in my case. Even though I put PB rust blaster on 2 days in advance the cage nuts broke the cage and spun. Ended up having to grind the tops off to remove the body and then using some heat to custom bend a box end wrench to get into the box frame so I was able to remove the (now) studs. This was on a 4 year old truck but New England winters at work here i’m sure. Once the body was off installation was a breeze. Fit is perfect.

2021 Sierra 2500 standard box. Item arrived pretty quick with all parts included and no damage. Instructions for the install are, in my opinion, not very detailed and left me having to figure several things out on my own. Biggest pain was having to drop the fuel tank a few inches to access the hole in the driver-side frame rail to fish wire the one bolt for the side plate. Unsure why this info was missing as I would imagine anyone installing this on the same truck would have the same issue of not having enough clearance for the fish wire procedure. The front and rear rails are 0.25” in length different and are not labeled - be prepared to measure and appropriately install in the correct position with the holes closer to the bottom (this is poorly referenced in the instructions and leaves additional room for error and time). The install took me about 7 hours (no help). Finished product is nice and sturdy. The ball ends up being about 4-5” forward the rear axle. I tried to find this info prior to purchasing, but could not. I use an extang hard tri-fold tonneau cover that does not flip fully up toward the cab and was concerned I would have to remove each time I hooked up a gooseneck. It appears that I will have to remove for most applications due to clearance issues, so less than ideal. Operates as intended and should bring many years of trouble free service.
