Best 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche Trailer Wirings

The plug is different from original cord. Doesn’t look as good but we’ll see how it works. 1st new cord

It's a bundle of wires with a plug. Hard to make this type of part special above other brands. Price is the big factor. Not quite sure why this one is 50% less cost than some others. But works as expected. Solved the dreaded taillights blinking while traveling on the road.

A man cannot have too many adapters and this is no exception.

I've had this in use for over a year and they don't build them like they use to. I use this on a gooseneck trailer and the piece of plastic behind the spade connector for the clearance lights and brakes has melted, allowing the spade connector to lose contact with the plug on the pickup. So the lights would cut off in the middle of the night and would have to wiggle the connection till I could fix it. I have an older Hopkins plug and never had this problem. To fix the problem I ended up putting pieces of thin copper wire behind the spade and have done it twice since the plastic melted a 2nd time and once again the trailer clearance lights would quit working. Attached are before and after pictures.

Customer service was great, I called for help connecting the 7-way and they walked me through it. Shipping could be better

Sooo, bought another one to match my truck side connection as GM uses Pollak, which are known to not play well with other brands. The design is just a wire clamp to wire it, which I did with the first one, but trying to get it secured I stripped out the screw. There are no torque specs provided. I’ll move to crimped ring terminals on this one and dial back the torque a bit.

It served its purpose to convert 4 connection to 7 connection to make it compatible with Toyota 7 connection set up diagram which is different than many American or other 7 point connection. Thank you E-Trailer . 5 stars and it's working just fine 1 year out from installing.

Works well definately like the led test lights. I was not sure when I ordered this that it was the plug or the wiring to the truck it. With the test lights i found the wiring for the truck was just fine and it was my old plug the side that connects to the trailer that was bad. I would highly recommend this product.

Works as stated, just plug in to7 pin connection on car, and plug 4 pin to trailer. Nice feature w/ led lights to check if connection is good

Nice product. Kind of a sloppy fit for my factory 2005 Avalanche hitch though. The 7 pin connector doesn't pin out correct but the 4 pin does so I'll go with that.

Exactly what I needed and wanted. Perfect fit for this 17 year old vehicle. Works well with my trailers. Installation was a breeze!

Didn't use it, because it's a replacement for my truck, that doesn't need replacing yet. Wanted a connector for the MH and this woundn't work, will save for later use.

I received a 5' cable, not a 6' one. Which really upsets me as it pretty much means I can not use the EZ Connector Pogo Trailer Cable Holder I also purchased to hold the cable up out of the way of the pivoting hitch. Other then that, the connector is molded on, so that is good.

The quality of the materials for this wire connector is very high, especially the insulation on the wires. One thing to note is the wire colors do not match the standard colors associated with this style of 7-Way plug. Definitely use a continuity tester to determine which wire goes to which blade in the plug. Other than that, this is a good product for the price.

I backed through a low spot and dragged my original connector through the dirt, damaging the 4-pin connector. This new Hopkins trailer connector is an exact match for the original connector on my Lippert hitch. Installation was quick and easy. Dielectric grease is included. The construction quality for this connector seems to be great. I wish all of my RV repairs were this easy!

I made it fit. Drilled holes in bumper and connected it the the factory harness! Voila!

The bargman 7 way moulded trailer end is a high quality unit. I have been using it for a year now and it has performed flawlessly. The sturdy moulded plug ensures no moisture can get inside. Both the insulation of the individual wires and also the outer sheath are made of silicone and remain flexible even at canadian winter temperatures. There is just one way I think the unit could be improved. The outer blue silicone coating is thin, and not very abrasion resistant. If it contacts the grouns at all, it will quickly wear through. Just a little thicker sheath would be nice. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, and would certainly purchase again

2 things. 1st@: I think there should be an option to pick tinned wire. 2nd: The ring terminal for the ground needs to be bigger.

Just what I needed for my home-built bike carrier. My wife rides an e-tricycle and by the time I loaded the trike and a couple of bikes on this platform, you could not see the car's taillights or blinkers. This harness worked perfectly!

Used this to rewire a 6 x 10 trailer. Inserted the wire through 3 feet of metal conduit to keep it from being damaged near the coupling. So now the only exposed wire is the ¼ inch right at the connector.

Works, exact fit, high quality, coils tight so max of about 3.5’ perfect! Heavy duty wiring, great waterproof connections.

Just as described. Works perfect allows me to plug in air compressor with a cigarette lighter plug end since my 2024 GMC Sierra does not have lighter plug. I attached it to my trailer plug.

Good solid unit that I expect to last a lifetime. I purchased this unit primarily to provide a charging port for a float charger. The idea being that if I forget about it or if someone else drives my truck and is unaware that it is connected, it will easily disconnect when the vehicle is driven away.

I rewired my light bar for my boat trailer with the items I purchased. Before I built the the light bar, every time I used my boat trailer I would waste valuable sailing or fishing time repairing faulty lights. The do not last long when you submerge them in salt water. This light bar now version 3.0 have given little trouble over the years
