Hey Michael,
If your air springs can go to 150psi then you really should go with a 150psi rated compressor so that you can fully utilize your springs. In those other answers there could've been some other factor that made that lower rated compressor the best option but that's very specific to the situation that neighbor is in. Firestone's compressor systems just weren't as good as the competitors in some of those situations or the neighbor just didn't want to have to drill an analog gauge... view full answer...
Hello Carlos,
It sounds like you’re running into a pretty common challenge with the Stromberg Carlson # CC-255 trailer tray and an Equal-i-zer weight distribution setup. The tray’s vertical posts mount right on the A-frame, and that just happens to be the same area where your spring bars need room to swing and slide during towing. Since your bars are already within about 3/8 of an inch of the posts, there’s a good chance they’ll make contact once you hit bumps in the road or take a sharp... view full answer...
It sure does Jerry. The Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter item # PK12716 is going to plug right into the Pollak 7-Pole RV Blade-Style Trailer Socket item # PK12-707E. It'll adapt the 7-way to work with 4-way connectors for trailer lighting or accessory lights.
What are you connecting to your 7-way that has a 4-way connector?
You can add this information, along with any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment. view full answer...
Hey Michael, this is a really good question but basically the Curt Echo part # C79DR interprets the taillight signals that it sees and from that can tell when you are applying the vehicle brakes which then tells the inertia sensor to start looking for deceleration.
It does this by looking at the brake light circuit activation through the trailer wiring. view full answer...
Hey Robert, yes the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors - Snap On - Driver and Passenger Side # KS80930 that you referenced do allow your cameras to still function. We've had several customers verify for us that with these installed the cameras still worked. view full answer...
Hey Mark, that's a great question but basically its for plugging in a camera right by the monitor like if you were wanting a quicker way to pair the camera and not have to run to back of RV and back. view full answer...
Hey Darin. You are correct, the Trailer Valet RVR9 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly item # TVRVR9 does not have a 7-way connector on it.
What specific brake actuator do you have on your trailer? Can you pull forward without locking up the brakes? It sounds like you need a manual lockout or a Reverse Lockout Solenoid like item # DM11993. view full answer...
Hello Steven, thanks for reaching out. For your 2010 GMC 2500 Extended Cab with the 8' bed you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15312. This is specifically designed for the 2500 long bed models.
The # C15302 hitch you mentioned is for the 2500 6-1/2' bed models.
I've attached a picture showing how the # C15312 hitch installs. You can compare this to the frame of your truck and make sure the service bed rails don't obstruct the hitch mounting location.
What will you be... view full answer...
Hey Reid, both trucks you have are not known to have issues with the Tekonsha RF brake controller. Some German vehicles do have pairing issues but I've never heard of a GM truck especially of the generations you mentioned. I can give you the instructions for a difficult to pair RF though which should work as long as there isn't an internal problem:
First, If you do not see displayed what the instructions say just keep going through the steps. Sometimes, it will not display what it is supposed... view full answer...
Hey Tom, great question! General maintenance for the Meyer WingMan # ME55FR requires white lithium grease on the pins, grease on the cylinders once a year, and then inspection on the bolts, cutting edge, lights, and hydraulic connections.
There is also pre-season and post-season maintenance which includes checking and maintaining the hydraulic fluid. I attached some pictures below, along with the instructions further down on this page. The instructions include all of the maintenance information.... view full answer...
Hey Brian,
To determine if you have a 12v or 24v system all you have to do is look at the battery. From what I can see your Yukon should have a 12v battery like most other passenger vehicles so the only other notable difference aside from the user-controlled mode for off-roading would be that the Elite # RED44FR is compatible with triple-axle trailers and the Liberty # RED52VR can only go up to tandem axles.
Since you don't plan on off-roading the Liberty # RED52VR is likely going to... view full answer...
Hello Ric,
I’m sorry, but I’m not showing that there is a vehicle-specific pigtail available for your 2013 Sierra 1500.
You would need to splice in the brake controller. The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller - Up to 3 Axles - Proportional # TK90160 would be the correct brake controller for your vehicle, as it comes with a universal wiring pigtail. If you need just the pigtail, you can order # 20127.
Is there a connector under your dash for a vehicle-specific pigtail? view full answer...
Hello Mel, great question!
Yes, the Torklift tie downs part # TL66FV will fit your 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD crew cab with the 8 foot bed, provided your truck does not have running boards or cab length boards that extend under the bed, and you are not using a TorkLift aftermarket hitch. Those two things are the main fitment factors that can interfere with installation on this setup.
I know the goal here is to make sure everything mounts up cleanly and keeps your camper solid without any... view full answer...
Hey Carl! Yes, you can install the # SSA12MXKT and keep your air bags. The Firestone air bags you have now install over the axle on your 2018 Sierra 2500. Since the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit # SSA12MXKT install over the leaf springs they won't interfere with the air bags. view full answer...
Hi Arman,
The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRYS4 are rated for 6,000lbs so they'll definitely help with the sagging, but being as high capacity as they are they'll likely also affect your unloaded ride quality in a negative way. Going with a lower capacity like the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-204-40 (1,000lb load leveling capacity) would help with the sagging without giving you a harsh unloaded ride quality.
These springs are a simple swap out of the... view full answer...
Since you have the cab and chassis model of the 2024 GMC Sierra 3500 you'll need to go with the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F56FV. There's isn't an Air Lift set for the cab and chassis models. These have a 7,500 lbs load leveling capacity that will support the rear end of your Sierra when you are on the road. All mounting brackets and hardware are included for installation.
I prefer the Firestone brand over Air Lift anyways. The main difference... view full answer...
Congrats on the new truck Steve! To add a gooseneck hitch to your 2025 GMC Sierra 2500, I recommend the Curt item # C60642. This gooseneck hitch is the same one GM installs in their brand new trucks. The custom fit brackets install into preexisting holes in your Sierra's frame.
I have attached a couple of pictures below along with an installation video to help you get this hitch set up and show you what it looks like once installed.
To make towing with a gooseneck trailer easier, I recommend... view full answer...
Hello Bill,
Thanks so much for reaching out about the harness. I just need a little more information from you if you don’t mind.
I see that the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # TK67KR is the correct replacement if your Terrain has the factory tow package. Did your 2026 GMC Terrain come equipped with that package? I attached an image that shows where it specifies “with Factory Tow Package.”
If it did not come with the tow package, then you would actually need the... view full answer...
Hey Conrad,
Yes, the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FR98NR just requires 12v power so if you can just install a 7-way socket # HM48480 on your trailer with a wire running from the running light circuit of that socket to either your battery or power center DC distribution board and protect it with a 20 amp fuse. You could also install a switch # PK34360 inline to cut power when the socket isn't in use.
You'd also need a 12v outlet # DG61023VP inside the camper for... view full answer...
