Your older PD9145C charger delivers 45 amps of DC charging power at 13.6 volts DC. (For AGM batteries)
This converter/charger requires 725 watts of AC power to operate. It also needs to be on its own AC circuit.
The Progressive Dynamics # PD79RR converter/charger delivers 60 amps of DC charging power at 14.6 volts DC. (14.6 volts for charging Lithium batteries)

Hey Nick congrats on the new car! The bottom portion of the receiver for the Curt item # C69VV sits 11-3/4" above the ground when installed on your 2025 Subaru Outback Premium. If you're worried about ground clearance, I recommend installing the Curt item # C67JR, which sits 13-1/2" off the ground.

The easiest trailer hitch receiver installation is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # DT73RR for your 2020 Subaru Outback. It is the only option we have that doesn't require removing the bumper which is definitely more time and labor intensive. This will utilize holes already in your frame so no drilling is required. You will need to modify a heat shield and the entire installation will take approximately 40 minutes.

The weight rating of the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer # Y08129 is 350-lbs, however with your tent weighing 160-lbs, and your combined weight between the two of you being close to 280-lbs, you're going to be overloading the crossbars.
Luckily, Yakima has already come up with a solution to fix this issue. Take a look at the:
-SkyRise Tent Kit for Yakima EasyRider Trailer # Y08127 with the Yakima SkyRise HD Tent for Roof Rack Crossbars # Y07437; Or, you can use the Yakima EasyRider... view full answer...
The Thule Hullavator Pro # TH898 can fit round bars by grabbing around the crossbar and can fit aero shaped bars if the bars have a channel on top of them. Which the Yakima aero shaped bars don't have top channels so to go the Yakima route will require round bars which includes the part numbers # Y00408, # Y53TR, # Y03536, and # Y00241 and you'd be set. view full answer...
The part number you mentioned is the Subaru/Thule Aeroblade crossbar so for a replacement rubber strip you would need the part # TH69JH. view full answer...
I'm sorry for the confusion Doug as this is a common issue with our fit guide with vehicles like your 2024 Subaru Outback. On the Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MAL74AR you found we list both excluding Wilderness and Wilderness to say it will fit both you Wilderness and models which are not a Wilderness. We also have the wider 58" System # MAL84AR if you want a bar longer than the 50" bars in the system you found. view full answer...
I do have a 2 inch hitch that is a no-drill installation for your 2016 Subaru Outback. It is the Curt # C13410. These hitches are getting very popular with Subaru owners. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
Although the instructions for Class III trailer hitches such as # 75673 for your 2016 Subaru Outback state that an access hole will need to be drilled it is possible to avoid that if you can access the inside of the frame another way. In this case it means... view full answer...
Hi Jeffrey,
For a hitch for the 2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness that installs behind the bumper, I recommend the etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e25TR. The cross tube is totally hidden behind the bumper, and only the hitch receiver tube is visible just underneath the bumper. It is a 2 inch bolt-on receiver that has a 350lb tongue weight and tows up to 3,500lbs. Please be aware you may need to trim some of the fascia for the hitch to fit properly.

Hi John; I'd definitely get a frame-mounted hitch for your 2017 Subaru Outback to tow a small camper. I'm not aware of a bumper-mounted hitch for your Outback, but if there were one I definitely wouldn't trust it for towing purposes. There are two options for a hitch on your '17 Outback, depending on if you want a concealed crosstube or visible crosstube:
- Visible Crosstube: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13206
- Hidden Crosstube: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13410

Both the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75673 and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13206 will require drilling to install on your 2017 Subaru Outback Wagon. It is only a 1-1/8" access hole though so it is pretty minimal.
The reason why we tend to recommend the Draw-Tite trailer hitches over the Curt trailer hitches is because on a good majority or their trailer hitches (including this one) they require that a stabilizer strap like part # 18050 be used to help secure all... view full answer...
The factory crossbars on a 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon won't work with the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier part # TH898. They would need to be replaced in favor of the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbar System part # TH711220, part # TH460R, and part # THKIT4063. This would be a great setup to then use the Thule Hullavator. view full answer...
The best trailer wiring kit we offer for your 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon is the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C56040 as it installs very easily and has the highest amperage rated converter box which allows it to be the most resistant to internal issues caused by trailer wiring shorts.
I attached an install video for this kit for you to check, but basically it plugs into an easy to find port at the rear of the vehicle and you are ready to go! The attached picture shows where you'll... view full answer...

A 3,000 lb axle is an odd size but I was able to find what you need. There isn't a kit, but you can get the bearings which are available individually. You will need bearing # LM67048 and bearing # L44649 for each hub. You will also need grease seal # 58846. view full answer...
They sure are Charlie and welcome back! The biggest inconvenience you're going to run into removing and reinstalling the Coil SumoSprings item # CSS-1125R are jacking up the rear end of your Subaru each time and removing the rear wheels.
You will need to get the weight off of the rear suspension so your Outback's coil springs can stretch out. You'll definitely need to remove the tires to get them installed. If you've got skinny arms you may get lucky and not have to take the tires off... view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, Neely. We do offer hitches for the 2024 Subaru Outback, but a google search is not a reliable way to search out site for custom fit parts. So, the # 76227 hitch you mentioned will not fit a 2024 model, it will only fit the 2013-2019 models.
Instead, I recommend the etrailer Class3 Hitch # e25TR. This has a 3,500 lb towing capacity and 350 lb tongue weight capacity, so it will definitely be adequate for pulling a small trailer.

Hey David.
AC replacements don't come as an easy process these days. There was a recent mandate that required all new AC units to start using the R32 refrigerant. Because of that change, older components are not compatible with the newer AC's. The only AC systems I have that would prevent any sort of ceiling work would be the Velit 2000U Under-Bench AC systems. They come in a 12V part # VE56QV, 24V part # VE36QV, and a 48V part # VE96QV. These are more geared for camper vans or smaller... view full answer...
