Hey Nelson, welcome back. Yes! We have just the thing. To use your Yakima OnRamp LX with the 1-1/4" shank with a 2" hitch you will need the following:
- Replacement 2" Shank for Yakima OnRamp LX Bike Racks # Y89GC
This will replace the shank that came with your rack and allow it to fit the 2" hitch on you new vehicle. This is one and the same as the Yakima part 8881650 you mentioned. The 2" shank from the old OnRamp does not work with the OnRamp LX.

Previous years of the Subaru Outback had the integrated, swing out crossbars that stored inside the side rails that were NOT compatible with the Surco Clamp on Adapters part # SP1101. However, it wouldn't hurt to double check your crossbar measurements and spread. The rod carrier fits crossbars up to 3-1/2" wide x 1-3/8" tall, and a 23" - 82" crossbar spread. That is an excellent question, and it's actually pretty simple how the brakes are applied when using the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180.
The Echo # C51180 has an accelerometer in the unit that senses when you are slowing down, and even the amount you slow down. So when you hit the brakes on your Subaru, the Echo will know and apply the trailer brakes based on how quickly you decelerate.

Hey Rickey! We have not installed the Curt # C59236 on a 2026 Outback at this time, so we don't have an installation video for this. Curt originally carried over the plug and play wiring harness for 2026 Subaru models. but we have since found that the connector changed.

Hey Bonnie, Subaru's retractable roof rack is pretty cool. I've had a few customers come through with it and Subaru did a great job of making practical and stylish use out of their roof rack.
The crossbars are a pretty standard size and can carry up to 150 lbs, so you will have no problem carrying most kayaks. We have a couple different carrier options that might be good for you.

Since you have the factory tow package, all you'll need to do is disconnect the USCAR connector at the end of your factory wiring harness from the back of the 7-way. There's a small little clip at the top and bottom which should be pretty easy to disconnect on a new vehicle.

You can swap out the Yakima Non-Locking Base for OverHaul part # Y56AV for a locking version, but it's not possible to make it lockable because it doesn't have the internal housing for a lock core. Hey William! Your plan looks good. The Redarc BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D is exactly what I'd use to charge your lithium batteries from the Outback. The 7-way typically only provides a maintenance charge, and with a 200Ah battery bank it won't recharge your batteries in any reasonable amount of time.
