If the width of your trailer frame is 2 inches and the height is 3 inches the Pro Series RB3 Weight Distribution System part # PS49582 would work well for you since it can fit 2 inch wide frames.
If your frame is wider than 2 inches you could get the Reese Chain Hanger Brackets part # RP58305.
I attached an FAQ on weight distribution systems for you to check out. view full answer...
It is possible to use a bike rack like the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 as it is rated to carry bikes up to 65lbs and will work with a class I or class II receiver on your 2005 Pontiac Vibe. The rack itself will weigh 45lbs giving you 109lbs total for the bike and carrier weight. This would allow for you to carry a second bike if needed. The EasyFold also includes an aluminum ramp to assist with loading and unloading the bike.

I spoke to my contact at Curt Manufacturing and they stated that as long as the dual exhaust you have on your 1984 Pontiac Firebird was installed from the factory, then yes the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11117 will work for you. However, if it is an aftermarket exhaust I would not be able to confirm fitment as Curt trailer hitches are only designed to be used with factory exhaust.
If you have an aftermarket exhaust you will want to reference the attached photo which will give... view full answer...
The Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11117 that you referenced is confirmed to fit both the 1998 Pontiac Firebird and Trans Am. I confirmed the fit of the hitch on a 1998 Trans Am with Curt.
This hitch features a Class I rating, 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver, and a 2,000 pound towing capacity with 200 pound tongue weight capacity. To comply with Curt's warranty for the hitch, you will want to use a support strap # 18050 with all non-trailer loads, such as bike racks and cargo carriers.... view full answer...
I recommend the Kuat Pivot Swing Away Hitch Extender part # PVP20B. The Kuat Pivot Swing Away will allow you to attach a cargo carrier or bike rack to a 2" trailer hitch receiver tube opening and then pivot that accessory out 90 degrees to clear the rear doors on your van. The swing arm comes with a locking anti-rattle threaded hitch pin however, you would also need a locking hitch pin to secure your bike to the swing arm. view full answer...
I checked the online owner's manual for the 2005 Pontiac Vibe on the GM website and it shows that the front-wheel-drive with manual transaxle CAN be flat towed without need for a transmission lube pump and it can also be towed using a dolly like # RM-2050-1. However, the all-wheel-drive version cannot be flat towed, nor can it be towed with two wheels up on a tow dolly.
The basic parts of a flat towing setup include the tow bar, lighting kit and braking system you mentioned, as well as... view full answer...
Yes the Reese conical washer part # 01292-008 will work with the install hardware of the Curt hitch # C12221 that fits your 2007 Pontiac Vibe. view full answer...
Choosing the correct electric trailer winch for your needs is a bit of a tricky task. The weight capacity of a winch will be affected by many factors such as the weight of the object, angle at which the object is being pulled, the number of layers there is on the drum, in addition to static vs rolling loads.
The angle at which the car will need to be pulled up the trailer in addition to layers of wire on the drum will be offset by the rolling load therefore a 4,000 lb winch should be... view full answer...
Yes, the Thule Arcos Enclosed Cargo Carrier # TH25YE will work on a Class II hitch.
It was designed for any class of hitch and fits either 1-1/4 or 2 inch hitches. view full answer...
You can add larger wheels to a trailer as long as you have the same bolt pattern and enough room for the larger size. The main clearance issues we find when putting larger wheels on a trailer is from the top of the tire to the fender and from the inside wall of the tire to the trailer wall/frame.
Also you will want to keep the weight capacity in mind. Larger tires will typically have a higher weight rating. Tires with a higher weight rating will not increase the load carrying capacity... view full answer...
It is fine for there to be a slight curvature, as that won't affect the fit of the Trunx Rooftop Cargo Carrier # TRX44FR.
That said, you do still need to ensure it fits, and to do that you just need to take a couple measurements. First thing to do is measure the crossbars, as they need to be a maximum of 3-3/4" wide x 1-3/16" tall. The vast majority of factory crossbars are less than this but you do want to verify.
Next measure from center to center of your crossbars, and if it is between... view full answer...
The only difference is that Curt has one trailer hitch that fits a 2004 Pontiac Vibe GT, part # C12221 and one trailer hitch for a 2004 Pontiac Vibe NON-GT, part # C12234 while the Draw-Tite # 24812 will fit both models.
The Draw-Tite hitch is a Class I hitch which requires the use of Class I accessories so my recommendation is to go with the option from Curt, with the right hitch depending on if you have a GT or not.
Both the Curt Trailer Hitch # C12221 (GT models) and # C12234 (non-GT... view full answer...
Flat towing a vehicle is always subject to the okay of the auto maker and the best place to check this is in the owner's manual (or with your local dealership which can see the car's specific factory-installed equipment by looking up its VIN). Page 4-26 of the online edition of the owner's manual indicates that one version of the car cannot be flat towed, that version being the 3.9L V6 engine with the four-speed automatic transmission. Since you have the 3.5L you can flat tow the car but... view full answer...
The RockyMounts HighNoon FC Solo # RKY87RR can be used to secure a bike with a flat front tire. You'd tighten the arm of the rack down which will tighten through the tire to the rim and give you a secure way to hold your bike. I found a few people online who did this on more than a few occasions and were perfectly fine. view full answer...
So it sounds like you are looking for a roof rack for your 2010 Pontiac Vibe where part of it is attached to the fixed mounting points and the other is a clip-on option. While we do have a nice rack option, there isn't a good option for that because of the types of roof racks available for this vehicle.
The best available rack option is a from Inno and it uses bars that go past the rack's feet, and uses a fit kit to clamp on, which is made up of the following parts:
- Inno Aero Crossbars... view full answer...
The stop inside the hitch is not to force customers to purchase certain brand products, but to ensure that a Class II draw bar is not inserted into a Class I hitch.
The Draw-Tite hitch you have, part # 24812, is a Class I hitch so if the welded stop inside is preventing the draw bar from going all the way in, you have a Class II drawbar.
The recommended draw bar for this particular hitch is part # 3593. This draw bar will fit your hitch and will be at the proper height for trailers that... view full answer...
2 inch or 2-5/16 inch diameter balls are pretty standard sized balls, it is not surprising that the coupler on the 1997 Coleman camper accepts either one of those sizes.
For a 2 inch ball I would recommend a Hitch Ball with 2 inch Diameter and Medium Shank, part # 19247.
If you need a ball mount as well I would recommend a Ball Mount 2-3/4 inch Rise or 4 inch Drop, part # 2753. view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Tow Ready about converter # 118158. He said that at most the converter is rated for 2.1 amps per side for brake and turn signals so it would not work for you.
I recommend going with a kit that bypasses the vehicle wiring such as a bulb and socket kit, # BX8869, or a magnetic kit such as # RM-2120.
I have included some links to articles on tow bar wiring for you that should also help. view full answer...
