While we have not had a 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV in our shop with the hands free liftgate to test the exact function I can say most applications will not eliminate the use of the kick sensor. I installed our receiver on my Acura RDX which takes up a lot more of the space under the bumper with its visible cross tube and I can still use the kick sensor on mine to operate the hands free liftgate. For towing you never want to go over what is recommended in your owners manual. It all depends on the hitch that you have on the vehicle. Some of them can be rated for a higher tongue weight when using a weight distribution system, but not every hitch is designed this way. That is a great question. Then answer is that there is no difference. Both will come with the exact same bracket and hardware. I will try to explain.
The # PK12711U-26 is actually an older part number. Back in the day, Pollak used to send us these brackets without hardware, and we had to add a hardware pack here at our warehouse. So part # PK12711U-26 actually contains the # PK12711U bracket and the PK11-926 hardware pack.

There is no cutting required to install the Curt Hitch item # C25FV on your 2024 Mazda CX-90. There is a small panel beneath your bumper cover that you will remove and not reinstall that will give you clearance for the 2" receiver. If you wanted to reinstall the panel you would then need to make some cuts in it so it would fit around the downtube of the hitch but this is not required.

If the bars are bent it's definitely time to replace them. Since most of the time your tongue weight is under 600 lbs you'd want to stick with the # FA92-01-0699 for replacements. If you were to go higher the ride quality would be harsher like you mentioned. view full answer...
