Hey Mike! We do not have an installation video for the Stealth Hitches # SH99GR at this time. We rely on customers to bring in vehicles for installation so until we see a Genesis GV80 we won't be able to make a video. However, I did attach the written instructions down below for your reference. I also attached a link for local hitch installers, all you need to do is enter your zip code to find one nearby. I don't have pricing but there is an option to request a quote through the link. view full answer...
Hey Russ! The bad news is it looks like we didn't grab that measurement when we installed the # e65KR on the 2025 Genesis GV80. The good news is, I can still answer your question. The Curt # C84UR actually shares the same design as our own etrailer hitch. This means it will have the same 8-1/2" ground measurement as the Curt.
The only real difference between the two is the finish. The Curt has the glossy finish, our hitch has the matte black which I prefer. If that isn't a major concern... view full answer...
Hey Pierre, yes we have hidden hitches that fit your 2027 Genesis GV80. We have the Stealth hitch part # SH99GR which is totally hidden as it has a lower hitch opening that is removable so when not in use it's totally out of site or we have the mostly hidden etrailer hitch part # e65KR which only has the hitch opening that hangs below the rear bumper. It costs a lot less than the Stealth but it's not totally hidden when not in use. Will you be doing some towing or is this for a bike rack? view full answer...
Hey David, this is a great question but it really comes down to the vehicle more than the hitch whether or not it can be used with a weight distribution system. WD systems put a lot more leverage on the hitch and vehicle chassis so the vehicle has to be able to withstand that.
Typically the hitches that can be used with a WD have longer brackets that run front to back that will distribute some of that added stress whereas the hitches that fit the 2023 Genesis GV80 like the Curt # C84UR... view full answer...
Hey Joshua, we have the Stealth hitch part # SH99GR that fits your 2025 Genesis GV80 couple.
The install does not require any drilling or fascia trimming so no permanent modifications. view full answer...
Hey Joe!
Yes, the receiver from the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # SH99GR will be nice and snug so you won't see your bike rack bouncing around behind your 2022 Genesis GV80.
I'm guessing the reason it's rated as a 10 out of 10 is because the instructions include the wiring harness, although this kit doesn't have the wiring harness.
The other hitches with a similar design are rated at 4 out of 10 and the only real differences with this are the bumper cutout and having to install... view full answer...
Hello Steve, thanks for reaching out. Yes, the Stealth Hitch # SH99GR will indeed fit the 2025 Genesis GV80 coupe. I checked with the manufacturer and they confirm this hitch to fit all models of the 2025 GV80, so that includes the coupe. view full answer...
Hey Britt, so not all hitch manufacturers will have the same weight capacity for the same vehicle. They all design their hitches independently and then rate them and sometimes the numbers vary. 900 lbs of tongue weight is quite a bit for a vehicle like the 2022 Genesis GV80 so even if the hitch was rated for it I would assume the vehicle wouldn't be. You can check this in your owners manual. view full answer...
The trailer hitch options for a 2021 Genesis GV80 are all hidden which means the crosstube is tucked up behind the bumper for a more factory-like finish. They are all equally hidden, I can't say one is more hidden than the other.
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver part # DT49GR is what I recommend due to the higher capacity, better ground clearance (due to safety chain loop location), and integrated trailer connector mounting bracket. view full answer...
For your 2023 Genesis GV80 the correct hitch is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e65KR.
There is a wiring harness that fits as well, with the correct part being the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. view full answer...
Yes, we have the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e65KR which will install on your 2024 Genesis GV80. This is a custom fit receiver so you will simply bolt it to your frame without having to drill or modify your Genesis. This will provide you a 2" receiver so if you plan on towing the Starter Kit # C45534 will give you the hitch you will need for a trailer with a 2" ball coupler.
The Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59496 will give your Genesis a 4-way flat connector. This is the... view full answer...
The Yakima GrandTour Lo Rooftop Cargo Box - 15 Cubic Ft - Glossy Black, part # Y46FR, will fit your vehicle. In order for it to fit AND still allow your hatch to open, you will have to take a measurement on your 2022 Genesis GV80. If you have 50-3/4" between the center of your front crossbar and the line where the roof and the hatch meet, you will be able to open your hatch without interference from the GrandTour Lo.
I have included a video review link below. view full answer...
Yes, you will want the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e65KR for your 2024 Genesis GV80. This is a custom fit bolt on receiver which requires no drilling to be installed on your frame.
I recommend installing the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector which is the common connector used on most small trailers. It will also allow for Auxiliary Lights # C53201 should you carry a hitch mounted accessory which impairs... view full answer...
Yes we have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84UR. It is custom fit for your Genesis GV80 and requires no drilling or welding.
If you are going to require a 4-way for lighting I suggest our Upgraded Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter # C59496. It is a much better solution to help protect the tail light circuits. view full answer...
Draw-Tite hasn't test fit the DT49GR hitch on a 2021 Genesis GV80 as of yet, however the Curt # C84UR which has an identical bolt pattern and hitch drop (distance between top of mounting flange and top of receiver tube), fits both the 2021 and 2022 models. view full answer...
You are correct that Thule swapped out the AeroBlade Edge crossbar system with the WingBar Edge system. The problem is that when they upgraded the legs to the WingBar system is meant you also needed a new fit kit to fit with the new feet. So the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Flush Roof Rack Feet # TH186007 you're needing you unfortunately need a whole new roof rack system as this fit kit isn't compatible with the older AeroBlade Edge system according to Thule.
If you can let me know the year/model... view full answer...
The 2021 Genesis GV80 may already have a 4 pin trailer adapter installed from the dealer and you can convert it to a 5-pin.
If it does not have a 4 pin already, then you will need to install the Curt Tail Light Converter 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. This will splice into the taillight wiring on your vehicle, and there will be a few more wires to run (power and ground wires). I have attached a demonstration video for this kit.
Once you have a 4-pin installed, you will need... view full answer...
The etrailer hitch part # e65KR is what I recommend for your 2023 Genesis GV80. It has a hidden crosstube is mostly and bolt-on install so it's the way to go.
It would work great with a bike rack like the Hollywood Racks Trail Rider part # HR200Z. view full answer...
