Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talk about the RaxGo Kayak carrier. Now this is gonna be a storage solution that can also carry other different types of water support equipment. Now we just have a paddle board and a kayak on here today. We'd love to see what you're putting on here in either a comment or review. In my opinion, I think this is gonna be great for anyone who's frequently on the water no matter what type of gear you have.
Now it's gonna be able to keep your gear nice and safe since it is elevated, it's gonna keep it organized and easy to use and it's gonna be pretty adaptable since you can move it around a little bit easier than something that's gonna be mounted to the wall. And the one we have specifically right now has wheels to it. So that even makes it even a step easier. Now there will be another variation that doesn't have wheels, but all other specs about it are gonna be exactly the same. So first let's dive a little bit more into why this is gonna be great for keeping everything nice and organized.
So it's gonna be a much better option rather than just letting your kayak sit on the ground. And with this, you're gonna push it up closer to the wall so it takes up less space. And for me personally, I think this looks nicer too, especially since they are upright. And that leads to helping them be a little bit easier to load and unload your gear when you need to be on the water. And with that, you could even adjust these J hooks to fit your needs.
So let's say you got something that is a little bit heavier, you need this to be a little bit lower. You can match this up with these holes on this rack so you don't have to lift up as high. Or on the flip side of things like we have here, we have this wider kayak on the bottom. If we want a little bit more space so we can remove it or even store it on here, then putting these up higher is probably gonna serve you a little bit better. In cases like this, this is gonna help us out a lot.
The other thing that stands out to me is how it's gonna help protect your gear. So with the changing of seasons, if you've just left your kayak just sitting around like this, what can happen is some type of critter could come by and make a nest in here. When you flip this over, you get a little bit of a surprise. You wanna try to avoid that. So with putting it on an elevated area, that's less likely of happening. Another way this is gonna help protect your gear is gonna be the way your kayak mounts to these hooks. So if we take a closer look at those they are gonna be padded, they're gonna have an inner layer that's gonna be more of this foam and an outer layer that's gonna have just this more mesh material. It's gonna be flexible. And what I like about this is we're not making direct contact with metal. 'Cause if you were, you're probably gonna scratch up your kayak. If you have a nicer one and this is gonna be making contact with the top of it, it won't look as nice. And the last thing I really like about it is just how adaptable it is. So this really is designed to be inside or outside. And that's because it is designed to work with the elements. So let's say you have this stored outside on the docks, so it's a little bit closer to you when you need to finish up your day of kayaking, paddle boarding, whatever it is, you can store it right here, but if it's a rainy day, you don't want it rusting, this is gonna have a black powder coat finish on it that's gonna help prevent that. But if you have it stored inside, a lot of times there's still gonna be some water on here. So when you have it on here you don't have to really worry about it rusting over time so it stays looking nice. And if you do decide to store this outside, you're gonna want something that's gonna feel fairly sturdy. This actually does accomplish that because we're gonna have three points of contact with the ground on either side. And with this one here, we're gonna have the one with wheel casters and they're going to be able to lock too, so they can stay in place. You don't have to worry about I'm rolling off, 'cause I will say it does move fairly well even with having a lot of weight on here. Now I'd say this is probably gonna be the one better if maybe you're storing it in your garage, but you're also bringing it outside to make it a little bit easier to load onto your vehicle. It's great for that. Now if you don't really plan on doing that, you're gonna be loading from your garage, I'd go with the stationary one since they all gonna have the same weight capacity of 175 pounds. Overall, I think this is a great option. Now if you're looking for something that's gonna have a higher weight capacity and just be able to accommodate those larger water support equipment just in general, then I'd recommend the Malone Atlas. Reason being, that's gonna come in two separate pieces so it can accommodate those extra long kayaks. And it's gonna have larger cradles too, so if they're really wide it can do that too. Now the one thing I don't like about it since it does come in two pieces, is it just isn't as easy to move around as something like this. I can just come over here, un-chock my wheel, then move it around and it really doesn't take any effort at all. But if you guys have any other questions, please let us know here at etrailer. But again, I'm Matt and thanks for watching.
