Features to know about

Installs Fast Without Running Wires to the Front: Plug-In 4-Flat Harness

This Curt T-Connector installs entirely at the rear of the vehicle, so there’s no need to run a wire up to the engine compartment. The harness plugs into existing connectors and mounts inside the cargo area, keeping everything protected and out of sight. Once in place, you get a ready-to-use 4-flat trailer connector that powers your trailer lights with a clean factory look.

Comparison image of Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harnesses showing plug-in connectors and converter boxes for trailer light wiring applications.

Delivers Proper Trailer Lighting: Built-In Powered Converter

The integrated powered converter takes the vehicle’s separate turn and brake light signals and combines them into a single output for the trailer. That means your trailer tail lights work exactly as they should—acting as both brake and turn lights without signal confusion. The converter ensures smooth, consistent lighting even when multiple functions are used at once.

Protected Circuitry for Safe Operation: Inline 10-Amp Fuse Design

The newer version of this harness includes an inline 10 amp fuse on the power input, and it also requires replacing the tow lamp fuse in the vehicle with a matching 10 amp fuse. This setup protects the wiring from overload and keeps both vehicle and trailer lighting circuits safe during use.

Ready for Upgrades: Works with 7-Way Expansion Kits

If you decide to add a brake controller or 12-volt charge line later, this harness gives you a solid base to start from. The 4-way flat can plug directly into a universal 7-way install kit (like the ETBC7 setup) for easy expansion without rewiring what’s already there. It’s a simple way to grow your towing setup when you’re ready for more capability.

Reliable Ground and Clean Connections: Consistent Lighting Every Time

A good ground makes all the difference in trailer lighting. This harness is designed to be grounded to bare metal for best results, ensuring each light function—running, turn, and brake—stays bright and consistent. Keep the connector clean and corrosion-free, and it’ll deliver steady performance every time you tow.

eTrailer customer service, Ricky S, was very knowledgeable regarding the wiring harness I order was out of stock. The replacement unit by another vendor show on the web site show a different wire scheme for powering up the converter. Ricky verified the wire scheme on the web was incorrect and the replacement unit was an exact replacement for what I needed.

The trailer hitch was very easy to install about 30mins after re tapping the rusty holes for mounting. Wiring harness was a snap and took about 30mins total. These Are great products, love the look of the hidden hitch. Can't wait to deal with your company again..

I can not express how impressed I am with the hitch and connector I ordered from etrailer. When the hitch arrived I took a look at it and said "This will never fit on my car". But before calling about it I figured I'd give it a try. To my utter amazement the hitch slipped right into place...it literally took me 15 minutes to install. And it was easier than the directrions indicated...I didn't even have tio lower the muffler. Same with the electrical connections...a snap. It all works perfectly Thanks so much -- I will never hesitate to recommend etrailer.

by:

Everything was perfect. Shipping was fast and everything went together really easily thank you so much

by:

Love them. I ordered a trailer light wiring harness and a receiver too. Both fit well, were easy to hook up, and still work well. Service was great and fast.

by:

Can’t complain about nothing. I received the package with in a week. Woke up around 7am on a Saturday and disassembled the minimum amount required. I had to do little cold working & pulling from what I expect was the shipping handling stress put on the assembly, but yeah other than it fit like like glove.

Note : I grabbed my wife and she held one end in place while I mounted the other side.

2014 Nissan Murano. Wiring harness is easy to install. Take your time taking the vehicle apart. Its not difficult, but you don't want to break anything. One video showed the need to run a wire to the battery, but the 2014 had a plug in power source. Buy one of the 4 prong testers they sell. Class 3 Hidden Hitch was easy to install to. Only took off two of the muffler hangers on the drivers side and me and a friend bolted it right in. Autozone will lend you a torque wrench if you want to be precise.

by:

Hitch arrived to my doorstep exactly as scheduled, I installed the hitch and wire harness per directions and it went perfect. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. Dealer wanted $650.00 for what I bought ($200.00) and installed my self (1 1/2 hours) E-Trailer is the best deal out there and their hitches are top quality!

by:

No problem installing the hitch and the wiring of the harness purchased for my vehicle Nissan Murano, the hitch has served its purpose and then some. Thanks for your products etrailer.com

by:

Video was a huge help, thanks. One clip separated from panel but I reglued it. Used a very fine tooth hack saw blade to cut two 1/4 inch long slots, and then bent up resultant tab to get 4x1 plug through body. Tapped tap back down and cover with grease as rust preventative. Cut hole in rubber plug with X-Acto knife to seal around harness and then used RTV sealant.

Note: if you are testing the plug with a volt meter after installation, you'll be surprised to see +12V at the yellow, green and brown wires. eTrailer said this is OK. It worked fine when connected to a trailer.

by:

This is the ONLY way to do trailer lights. The harness plugs into the factory harness perfectly. The converter plugs into an existing wire in the spare tore area. No need to run a power wire up to the fuse panel, no holes to drill. Even used an existing screw for the ground. Great price and quick shipping from etrailer.com. Sorry but no photo as it is all concealed behind trim panels.

I have never written a review, until today. Purchased the Hidden Hitch and the Curt wiring kit for 2014 Murano (everything essentially the same as 2012/13 hitch install and wiring just like 2005 video). Had the products at my home in 5 days - so far so good and much appreciated. Watched the video of installing the hitch on the e trailer site a few times before and after purchase and thought "That looks easy, I can do that." Now I am 50 something female who is handy with tools, but not car stuff. The videos gave me the confidence, and it really was that easy to install the hitch, 1 hour, by myself, no lift. Now the wiring kit, well, it is in fact easy to understand (again watch the video on e trailer), but after dismantling the parts in the interior to get to the wiring and getting everything back together is definitely not my specialty. The wiring is simple though, the kit has absolutely everything you need for parts. Wiring took minutes, the tearing apart and reassembling the interior took 1 hour 50 minutes and some mild cussing. Definitely 5 stars for products and ease of installation, low marks for my ability to rip a car apart. Thank you e trailer for your videos, you saved me $150.00 in installation fees.

by:

The team and selection at etrailer.com is excellent and the Draw-Tite Draw-Tite Ball Mount Trailer Hitch Ball Mount purchased installed easily and the tech support team answered my questions in a timely manner and provided the support needed. I will certainly search their inventory for my future trailer needs.

by:

This is the second product I have purchased from etrailer in the past 12 months. The wiring harness was exactly as described and super easy to install. It is all just plug and go once you get to your vehicle wiring behind the taillight panels. However, the best thing about etrailer is their videos! They are 100% spot on, step-by-step, easy to follow with super clear instructions. I have installed a hitch and a wiring harness in my 2014 Nissan Murano with no problems at all!

by:

This is THE place to get your hitch !! The hitch fit perfectly , the wiring fit perfectly , the service is fantastic !! I'll ALWAYS buy my hitches and related items here. The hitch arrived so fast I wasn't ready for it. I thought it would take a week to get it , but it arrived in 2days !!!! I would not go anywhere else !! Price is great with free shipping on orders over 99.00 !!!!h Here's a pic of my hideaway hitch.

Product was great, easy to install and saved me money than going to a dealership and have it installed for me. Fast shipping, good price and a wonderful company. Wouldn't think twice to buy again from them. Thanks etrailer.

I have never had any problems with it since the installation. Very happy with this product unlike other hitches where you can see the whole thing. Do your research first before buying.

Harness wired in to my '06 Murano without splicing any wires, however both turn signal wires were routed to the wrong spot in the harness. We had to re-splice each end of the harness to get the signals to work, but otherwise installation was relatively easy.

This item fits a 2005 Murano, but not a 2006. The part you need instead is Item # C49KR.

I purchased a hitch receiver and wiring harness. The customer service was the best I have ever received from any online retailer. I received order progress emails and received my order sooner than expected. Everything was a perfect fit. I ordered the wiring harness with connectors and highly recommend that option. I have the skills and background to splice them in but the connectors saved so much time.

I still wish every online or brick and mortar retailer could provide the great customer service etrailer does. I have purchased two hitches and two vehicle specific wiring harnesses and after a year of use everything continues to perform perfectly. In one case I even got a call from them immediate after ordering to discuss the ball I ed. They indicated that there could be a compatibility issue and recommended ant other that would be a better fit and it cost less as well.

by:

Hi Patrick. The Curt T-Connector wiring harness arrived on time a couple of weeks ago as you promised. I installed in just yesterday as I have been busy on other things.

I reviewed the Video and gathered my tools. From that point, I was done in 40 minutes!! It was very easy as you had promised. Even for me, a 72-year old with almost no memory and who moves no faster than a slow snail. The most difficult part was removing and reinstalling the Murano panels without damaging them or the clips/snaps. All done nice and tidy and I used my trailer today without a hitch (pun intended).

Thanks for a great product with really easy to follow instructions.

Working better than expected. I like the harness and would recommend it to anyone

by:

I had a problem with my current harness assembly. I couldn't figure out why I could only get trailer lights on when running my headlights and nothing else. After a lot of testing on the trailer, which I figured was always a ground issue. I went out and bought a DC voltage tester (looks like a big pen that lights up when voltage is applied). It really helped me figure out where it was getting voltage and where it wasn't. It turned out that my harness module (the black box where all the wires connect to). I could tell that I had voltage going to the module but nothing coming out for turn signals or brakes. I looked closer at the module and discovered a crack in it. Not sure how or when it happened because I bought this vehicle about a year ago and the Curt towing assembly was already installed. I looked up how to replace this assembly on the internet and found a video on replacement. It looked very simple so I ordered it.
The website was easy to follow and told me exactly which part would be the right one for my vehicle. The pictures made it clear that this was the right part.
Ordering was simple. I received emails letting me know the part had shipped, and I received it in 2 days. The package came with everything I needed. Directions were easy to follow. I had everything done in a little over an hour (getting the covers off took more time than installation)
I would buy from etrailer again.

Great product, easy to install, plug and play design. I will definitely order from e-trailer if I need any future trailer components.

I was a little worried at first doing the install by my self, but etrailer was very helpful with their installation video.

IN for one year every thing works fine ,I will put one on my next car when I buy a new one.

by:

Was easy to do with the great instructional video. Only draw back was I had to go get a 10 amp fuse that it was supposed to have in the kit and it did not have the connector cover that connects the harness to the trailer to prevent dust when not connected. Other than that it was fantastic.

  • Availability of Concealed Trailer Hitch for a 2011 Nissan Murano
Class-III hitches with the 2 inch receiver opening are the only hitches our suppliers offer for the 2011 Nissan Murano. We offer the Curt # 13577 and the etrrailer # e65AR. This are extremely similar hitches and neither have hidden crossbars. The main difference between the two is that the etrailer hitch has a matte black finish and the Curt hitch has a shiny black finish. I personally think that the matte black looks better on the Murano and is not as noticeable as the shiny black....

The fuse for the CURT Trailer Wiring Harness, # 55571, would blow if there was excessive power draw trying to go through it. But not if power was going through the other way for some reason (backfeeding). Make sure the shop is installing the fuse and that it is going into the correct place on your 2004 Nissan Murano. • Comparing Trailer Wiring Harness Options for a 2014 Nissan Murano
The trailer wiring harness options for a 2014 Nissan Murano all pretty much do the same thing and will work well for you. That said, I do prefer the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118653 as the converter box is designed a bit better. It's smaller so easier to mount, has a tab for screw attachment which helps with longevity, and the potting which holds the wires on the board inside is much more durable. In summary, we have better experience with the T-One compared to the T-Connector...

Both Wiring Harnesses do the same task, however, I recommend the T-One Harness over the Curt Trailer Harness. We have the best luck with the Tow Ready T-One wiring harnesses over the Curt harnesses. I spoke to my contact at Curt and he said you would have to track down a fuse that would fit and is rated for 10 amps from Nissan.
