Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Blue Ox replacement weight distribution shank. Now, this replacement shank is going to slide into your two-inch trailer hitch receiver and it's going to give you an attachment point for your weight distribution systems head assembly. And this is designed for use with your Blue Ox SwayPro weight distribution with sway control. And this is going to give you a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds and a maximum gross towing weight of 15,000 pounds. And this is going to give you a maximum drop in this orientation of about three inches.
When you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of about 17 inches. And as you can see, this is an 11-hole adjustment and it has an incremental adjustment of 1 1/4 inches. That's the distance on center between these holes. And let me go ahead and give you some overall dimensions just so you have a good idea of the size here. So looking at the overall length first, as I hope you can see we're sitting right at 14 inches.
The overall height from bottom to top, we're sitting right at 15 inches. And then let me get my ruler for this other measurement. It's gonna be a little bit easier to show you. So measuring from the center of what I'm calling the mounting holes to the center of our hitch pin hole, so I'm gonna try to give you that measurement on center, lining that up there. So as I hope you can see, that measurement is 10 inches on center.
And then measuring from the center of our hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, three inches. And that hitch pin and clip is included with this. And the pinhole diameter, of course, is 5/8 of an inch. This is constructed of high strength steel. It's got a really great finish on it that is gonna be durable.
It's gonna hold up really well against rust and corrosion. Again, this is gonna slide into your two-inch trailer hitch receiver. And this is directly from Blue Ox, so you can trust that it's going to work just like your original one. If you are looking to replace your shank with these specs, you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues or anything like that. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
