Today, we'll be reviewing Part Number RM-1466. This is the RoadMaster 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Cord Kit with the Mounting Brackets. This is a 6-Pole to 6-Pole extension cord. It can be used for multiple towing applications, but it's going to be ideal for running power from your RV to your towed vehicle. The Flexo-Coil cord can expand more than 8 feet, yet it's still going to contract to prevent dragging and tangling. It's also a really easy cord to put into a storage compartment. The truck-end connectors or the sockets, one is going to mount to your RV and the other one is going to mount to your towed vehicle for quick, easy hookup.
Now, one of these is going to come with a socket mounting bracket. That's going to be the one that's going to mount to the towed vehicle. That way, it's always going to provide a connection point right there at the front of the vehicle. Each socket is going to feature spring-loaded lids. That way, it's always going to stay closed when not in use, keep dirt and grime out from the connection points. Very easy to run your wires to.
You just got to remove the rubber sleeve, make the connections back here at the back of the socket, and then run your wire through the sleeve, and then reinstall that onto the back of the socket portion there, and you should be all set to go. It is going to include one socket mounting bracket. The plugs are silicone injected to prevent corrosion, and the cord's also resistant to water, oil and chemicals. Now, the connectors here have the easy-grip design. It's going to assist you whether you're plugging it in or disconnecting. That's just a really great feature to have.
It's going to be the same for each one. The two plugs are going to be identical. That's going to do it for our review of Part Number RM-1466. You also want to keep in mind that the Flexo-Coil cords are not intended for use with the RoadMaster All Terrain tow bars, or any other tow bar that includes cable channel guides. Only straight cords should be used with those models. .
