Features to know about

Keep the Rear End Up and the Ride Level: 1,100-lb Suspension Support

When your truck squats under a heavy trailer or bed load, these helper leaf springs step in with up to 1,100 lbs of load support. Mounted above the factory springs, they automatically engage as weight increases, lifting the rear to prevent bottoming out and keeping the truck level. That means a steady stance for safer braking, steering, and headlight alignment when towing or hauling.

Comparison image showing multiple SuperSprings suspension stabilizer kits highlighting design and performance differences between models.

Cut Down on Sway and Body Roll: Stabilizer Design Reduces Sway by up to 30 Percent

Strong crosswinds, passing semis, or sharp turns can make a loaded truck feel loose. These helper springs act like sway bars by keeping your factory springs from twisting. The result is up to 30 percent less sway and a more planted feel when cornering, battling wind turbulence, or driving on uneven roads.

Automatic Load Response Without Air Lines or Adjustments

No need to crawl under the truck or monitor air pressure. Rollers on each end of the SuperSprings automatically activate when the factory springs flex under load and back off when the load is gone. The system adjusts itself every time you drive, so you get support when you need it and near-factory ride quality when unloaded—with no maintenance required.

Customize Your Setup: Adjustable Shackles for Different Ride Conditions

The shackles that attach these helper springs offer multiple mounting options so you can tailor the setup to your needs. Use upper bolt holes for greater load support or to compensate for older spring fatigue. Choose lower holes to maintain the original ride height, or mix settings for balanced comfort and lift. It’s an easy way to fine-tune handling whether your truck carries constant weight or runs light most days.

Simple DIY Bolt-On Installation: No Drilling Required

The kit bolts directly above your existing leaf springs using included hardware—no drilling needed. For models with factory springs above the axle, dense polyurethane pads keep everything seated and prevent shifting. With just hand tools and clear diagrams, these helper springs can be installed in an afternoon by any DIYer ready to add reliable suspension reinforcement without complicated air systems.

These leaf springs works great !! More stable my van but I would like that it brings up an inch !!! Great buy

by:

I have the Yakima EXO Swing Away Storage System w/ 2 Enclosed Cargo Carriers - 2" Hitches on my 2025 Airstream Interstate. They were causing the van to sag. The Springs went on Fairley easy and provided the lift I needed.

by:

No issues with install on a 2023, E350 Class C motorhome.
After chalking the front wheels, I used two 3 ton floor jacks with 13” 6x6 blocks just behind the springs to lift the frame and rear tires off the ground to remove the wheels. For safety, 3 ton jack stands were put under the axles during spring installation
After installing the springs per manufacturer instructions, two 1/2” x 10” pieces of all thread with drilled flat bar were used to compress the front end spring.
With the least amount of preload it raised the back a good inch.
The 800# trailer tongue weight will be the next test to see if more preload is needed for a level ride height.

by:

I bought these as part of my suspension modifications . I had them installed on my Ford F350 SB . I have an Arctic Fox 865 truck camper. It’s a heavy camper so to minimize sag and sway I installed Timbren bump stops, a hellwig bigwig sway bar,Torque lift stable loads. That improved things quite a bit. I installed these super springs last ,they further improved sway and improved the overall stability and ride quality.
I definitely feel these were worth purchasing. I could not decompress the existing leaf springs enough to install these myself so had them professionally installed.
I would recommend them for hauling a truck camper.

by:

Added these to my Mercedes air stream 19x class b van that already has 2 leaf springs. Had swaying issues at 60MPH and up. These put a stop to it right away and kept from sagging in the rear when loaded up with all our gear and water tank full. I have them on the mid setting. My van is 4wd and already lifted so didn’t raise it more than 1/2in. Still has a smooth ride and no big jolts like air bags or sumo springs.
I bought these a year ago so not sure if anything has changed Bad thing is they are slightly too long, Just enough to touch the wheel well and rub the under coating off. If you’re going to install yourself, I found a good you tube install. The U-bolts for install are too short. Need 2 forged C-clamps.
These are a 100% buy, don’t mess with air bags or sumos. These adjust themselves with load or no load.

by:

Without towing, the truck seems to ride a little smoother. The real test will come when I hook up my fifth wheel. Very simple to install.

by:

This product did exactly what I needed. Lift the RV up to unloaded height. I have not exceeded the 12500 GCWR but the rear end was dragging like it was severely overloaded. It was a very tight fit because the mud flap framing and gas lines were almost in the way. An entire day later with a couple of clamps and sore wrists at max setting fixed the sag perfectly! I wish I had before and after pictures. I can almost fit my head in the wheel where I could not get my arm in before.

by:

The shackles on each end were too narrow to clear the spring clips so locating them was harder than need be. The instructions had a mistake, locating the front shackle incorrectly. Installed as they are. Improved ride a lot. Glad I got them.

by:

Fast delivery, free shipping, the springs went on pretty easy, had some problems with install due to my vehicles configuration, Travato59K,not the springs. This was a 2024 RAM Promaster3500, raised it up 1.75” on the lower setting. Noticeable help with sway problem.

by:

Exactly what I needed and what I wanted very fast shipping thanks E trailer

by:

While use the middle setting it only gave it a slight lift with a minimal unloaded bounce. Usually never overload the trucks maximum capacity but needed to for a short distance and with approximately 1300 pounds in the bed, the truck didn't squat at all.

by:

This was a great addition to the suspension of my 2021 Ford E350 Class C RV. The rear springs were at almost max load. This raised the chassis at the rear axle almost 2-inches. This is a heavy duty spring and I had to fabricate a tool to compress the spring.

by:

Worked just like SuperSpring said, they Stabilized the load and reduced the sag with a very heavy Truck Camper also the ride without the camper is not horrible just a little stiffer.

by:

Fit great on my 2025 Ram. I makes a big difference pull my 14000lb 5th wheel. Highly recommend these for any heavy loads. I have put these on 3 other trucks and they are maintenance free. You don't need to worry about the load you are hauling.

by:

by:

Very pleased with the performance. Back of the truck sits a little higher when unloaded, and rides about the same (subjective though; I imagine some people would notice a difference). And when fully loaded the truck no longer squats in the back.

Still going strong

by:

Install was a bit tough, make sure you have some hefty clamps. These lifted the truck more than I had hoped, even on the lower setting, so I have a bit too much rake when not towing. But when towing, these really do help.

by:

product was missing two washers and came in a weathered box that indicated it was a returned item re-shipped for my use a more thourough inspection of this kit and a new box would have made a difference. the product has performed well and i prefer it to airbags that must be monitored for air pressure. i have not tested it under load yet but it has good potential

by:

These Supersprings are great! I carry my snowmobile in the back of my 2007 Tundra.
The trucks ride is noticeably more firm without the bottoming-
out that I had been experiencing. Pretty easy to install. Probably
took me 6 hours maybe a little less. The worst part was getting
my rear tires removed. The directions said this was not necessary
but I highly recommend taking them off. Great product so far!
***** 5-Star rating from me! Ray Z.

by:

Great item!! The Supersprings performed just as described. No more sag in the suspension and the benefit of better control. Installation was an hour with the help of an experienced mechanic and the right tools. If it wasn't for removing of the bumb stops on the axle, installation would have been faster. Expensive product, but it is a quality product and made in the USA. After install, the springs raised the rear of the truck about 2" to 3" when unloaded. Best part is that the springs didn't cause the truck to ride rough when unloaded.

by:

The Super Springs fit on my Toyota Tundra like a glove. The U Tube E trailer video was very helpful.

by:

I got this to prevent bottoming out my truck when towing our travel trailer. Won't know for sure if this actually works until we load up. Having said that, the instructions provided with this are poor and talking with Supersprings tech support was frustrating. As mentioned elsewhere, you will need two "C" clamps to pre-load the spring and I wound up fabricating a 3" extension bracket for the brake lines; neither of which were mentioned in the instructions. I also removed the wheels to provide working space and air tools are definitely the way to go. On my '13 Tundra, the distance between the stock spring pack straps is 40" the same as the distance between the eyes on the Superspring. I was advised that the spring is mounted off-center to avoid conflict with the stock spring straps; however this in not mentioned in the instructions. This placed the Superspring about 4" forward of the center of the axel instead of centered on the axel. (see photos) This seems counterintuitive to me but we'll see. This added 1.5" in height to the rear of the truck. It took me 4 hours to install by my self, including time to fabricate the brake line extensions and dealing with Supersprings staff twice on the phone. During the second call, the tech mentioned that they get a lot of phone calls for Tundra installs, indicating to me that they already know there are issues with the product and instructions. In retrospect, I would look for a new spring pack if I was doing this again. Hopefully my suspicions are unfounded but I'm hanging on to the box just incase. Etrailer was great with the best price anywhere and quick shipping.

Product does just what it says it does. Installed them on a Thursday and towed with them that weekend....... and they did a great job. Handled the tongue weight of my dump trailer better. I did notice a decreased amount of "wave" effect when you are in tow and your heavy trailer hits a bump or swale in the road; and transfers that energy to the truck. Sorta feels like you got a heavy tail that someone is tugging on. This was significantly reduced and made for a pleasant ride Later on Sunday then threw a load of firewood (no trailer this time) in the bed full; and in comparison of a previous haul with wood the truck did not sag as much.

My truck config is stock, double cab w/ 8' bed 4x4. I did not notice a stiffness in ride with and empty bed or no trailer in tow. Seemed to be just fine. Slightly raised the rear but with the long truck it is hardly noticeable.

One part of the installation was a little difficult, when it came time to compress the leaf it was a bit of a chore. I did have a 5" c-clamp but it was getting tough the last few inches to get the roller underneath the stock leafs. If I had a special leaf spring clamp tool as shown on some of the youtube vids I would have been done in about a 1/2 hour but with out this tool it makes the compression part slow.

by:

2013 Toyota Tundra 4x4. Installation went well in my garage with a medium sized C-Clamp. The ride feels that same as stock. Lifted the rear 1.5" which helped off set the 2.5" lift in the front from Fox 2.0 shocks. I have not hauled a load yet.

by:

Installed on a 2016 Toyota Tundra. I pull a 28 foot aluminum frame utility trailer. Hauls like a 3/4 ton with super spring. Rides like 1/2 ton without load. I have put 1 ton load on truck with no trailer and the truck drove fine. The front of truck at tires rose 1/2 inch. Installation requires the frame to be lifted off the axel.at rear of vehicle. I like this system better than air shocks as there is no adjustment after installation. I would purchase again.

  • Can You Install Both SuperSprings and SumoSprings on a 2016 Toyota Tundra
I do have an option for but SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs like part # SSR-610-54 and SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit part # SSA4 won't work together on a 2016 Toyota Tundra since they both mount in the same location. If you need more support, I recommend removing the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer and installing the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit part # RAS34FR which is very similar but provides almost three times...

  • Which SumoSprings for 2016 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab
I recommend using the SumoSprings Custom Solo Helper Springs # SSR-610-54 that you were looking at because they progressive load support, so they won't affect your unloaded ride quality. These springs will help fight sag and sway while towing your 7700-lbs GVWR trailer. You could also use the SuperSprings # SSA4, but I think you'll notice a bit stiffer ride quality when you're not towing-which may not be optimal. I've linked some review videos of these options for you to check out as...

The SuperSprings # SSA4 Stabilizer/Sway Control kit you'd looked at would be a decent choice for you. It would provide stability by preventing the vehicle from swaying and would provide up to 1100 lbs of additional support over and above your stock suspension. The RoadActive Suspension system, part # RAS34FR would be a better choice, as it would prevent sway, add up to 3000 lbs of additional support, but would provide additional benefits such as eliminating axle wrap and wheel hop. Because of the bracket placement for the Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose hitch # 9465-36, you are limited as to which suspension enhancement products will fit. But I do have a couple of great options for you. First you can use SuperSprings # SSA4. They fit on the leaf spring stack and have a 3,000 pound capacity. This product will not interfere with the gooseneck hitch installation brackets. These types of helper springs are more ideal for towing than air bags. Air bags are great if you carry...

I do have an option for you but the SuperSprings Custom Suspension Stabilizer part # SSA4 and SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-610-40 cannot be used together on your 2007 Toyota Tundra as the SuperSprings block the u-bolts needed to attach the SumoSprings. If you were to remove the SuperSprings part # SSA4 and then install the SumoSprings part # SSR-610-40 you would not be gaining any support as they are only rated for 1,000 lbs and the SuperSprings are rated for 1,100...

I believe the ride quality issue you are experiencing is related to the fact that you are using an air spring system with a weight distribution system.
