  • Steadier Steering and Braking: Reduces rear sag so your handling stays predictable under load.
  • Smoother Ride Over Bumps: Rubber springs absorb road shock and help prevent bottoming out.

  • Simple, No-Drill Install: Bolts onto factory frame mounts with included brackets and hardware.

Features to know about

Stay Level When You Tow or Haul: 3,000-lb Rear Suspension Support

When the trailer tongue or bed load starts to drag your rear end down, these hollow rubber springs step in to keep things level. With a 3,000-lb capacity, the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System adds extra support only when you need it. The springs sit just above the axle to take over as weight increases, keeping your rig level so steering, traction, and braking stay consistent under load.

Smooth Out the Rough Stuff: Rubber Springs That Absorb Road Shock

Hit a rough patch or bumpy back road and you’ll feel how the rubber construction makes a difference. Each hollow spring compresses to cushion impacts before they reach the cab. By soaking up road shock and preventing bottoming out, they help your suspension last longer and keep your ride smoother even when you’re hauling gear or pulling a trailer.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

When curves or sudden gusts try to push you around, each Timbren spring works on its own to keep that side planted. This independent action cuts down on body roll and sway so your vehicle feels more stable through corners and uneven roads. It also helps reduce trailer sway by keeping movement from transferring back and forth between tow vehicle and trailer.

Install with Confidence: No Drilling Required

Adding rear support doesn’t have to be complicated. This kit bolts into place using vehicle-specific brackets and hardware with no drilling required. Once installed, the rubber springs hang about 1" above the axle so your factory suspension works normally when unloaded. As weight builds, the springs engage seamlessly to deliver the extra support right when it’s needed.

Wow??????????It’s AMAZING the huge difference this suspension has added to my rear suspension it feels so great when I driving on the freeway it flows so cool I am real happy and grateful for this incredible product
by:
Too soon to tell but it was a super easy install. After installation there was a 1-1.5 inch separation between the timbren and differential like the instructions call for and when fully loaded My truck bed saggs 2.5 inches ( I have measured this in the past) so therefore this will definitely will help my issue

Exactly what I was looking for and what was advertised. Simple installation and total job was less than 20 minutes. Solid quality and effectively eliminated the sagging and swaying and without a load, I can't even tell they're on. It's made all the difference when hauling my trailerable sailboat and when hauling gravel. Would definitely recommend to others.

2009 Toyota Tacoma
My Tacoma had a recall and I got a free undercoating. When I went to remove the OEM rubber bumpers and put on the Timbren rubber bumpers, I found a bug rust spot that had no undercoating. So glad I installed these.
They went on exactly as directed, everything lined up perfectly and looks like they will work well. Haven't put a load on them yet but I'm sure there won't be a problem.
So far I would recommend. If anything changes I'll let you know.

I bought a set like these for my previous Tacoma and liked them so much I bought another pair for my new Tacoma. These are great because they are so simple to put in and when the vehicle is not loaded you do not notice any difference in the ride. When loaded it keeps the truck from sagging and makes it more stable on the turns. Incredible product.
by:
They were very easy to install. I was disapointed that they were not a little longer. The ride is not as good unless there is a load in the bed. If the the spring tension/ deflection rate was different the ride could be made to be more consistant. A longer spring would keep the feel much better for the veried loads.

Installed the Timbren TFR250SDJ on my 2025 F-250 Platinum Plus 4WD Short Bed with 6.7 HO Powerstroke. Fit perfectly. It takes a few minutes to get the bags attached to the base. It seems like the bolt is too long but I used a vise to hold the unit while I tightened it down more and cinched the bag to the base. So if it seems it wont get tight enough and is still loose, find a way to secure the base... there's still a few more turns.

Attaching to the truck takes a few minutes to remove the OEM (2 nuts) and a few minutes to install the Timbren SES. I added about 45 minutes by dropping one of the nuts, which I finally found inside the shock absorber bracket!!

I used a hand socket but would recommend air or power tools, if you can get to the nuts, but it can be done manually. Probably took me a few extra minutes with a socket wrench because of limited space, and I'm old!

I have not tested the SES under load yet, but I was really more concerned with the ride unloaded.I ended up with a gap right at 1" between the peg and bottom of the SES. Some reviews said the unloaded ride worsened. So I drove to the nearest small town with horrible streets, bumps, holes, broken concrete, sewer covers 3" below the asphalt, etc. On the highway, the ride was perfect, completely unaffected. On my bad road obstacle course, I thought the ride improved significantly. So I think the system will give a better ride unloaded. It was a little stiffer, less roll, and smoother. It was not "bouncy" or jarring, like some reviews mention. Very smooth and felt beefier on bad roads.

I'll update after I've driven loaded. I tow a 12,000# 2025 Rockwood TT 36' with a ProPride 3P hitch. We put 7,000 miles on it across 15 states this past year, so I've definitely got a "before" baseline using the OEM bumpers.

The ordering process was great. Naomi D had great product knowledge. At first I thought I was talking to my granddaughter, but after putting her through the paces, It felt like I was getting sage advice from my Grandfather. e-Trailer seems to really invest in their customer service reps knowledge base. Also completely satisfied with the order process and delivery. They were able to mail to our PO Box, which seems to be a problem for most (our physical address is a gate on the side of a highway, with cows on the other side).

100% satisfied so far and would recommend both e-trailer and Timbren to a friend. Will update once I've done some towing, but can say the unloaded ride is unaffected or improved for my application. So far, very happy.

Thanks for taking the time to share such a detailed review and all of the pictures! The unloaded ride is a concern we hear fairly often with SES upgrades, so your experience with the 1" gap and rough-road testing will be really helpful to others considering these for their F-250. We appreciate the kind words about Naomi and our team as well. Looking forward to your update once you get some miles on them with the Rockwood!

I'm suitably impressed with the difference i feel.
I have about 250 lbs. of static load with my topper and Decked cargo system. This put my install gap with no spacers just under the reccomended 1 inch minimum. Then add a couple hundred more pounds hauling music gear 100 shows a year, and the stop is resting on the axle.
I feel the absorption of the Timbren material is better than the flimsy stock bump stops. More cushion.
Where i really feel the difference is in the stabilty of excessive side sway when turning while loaded.
I have a gig coming up that will involve some unpaved mountain roads to get there so I think i will have a real goid idea of how these Timbren's will perform.
Instalation took me about an hour at 11 p.m.
The product it of the highest quality in design and build.
And Etrailer is a company that I would not hesitate to buy from in the future.
Thanks Dee Dee.

Love hearing this! Really appreciate the detailed feedback and photos. That extra stability when you're loaded up can make a huge difference. And installing them at 11 at night—that's commitment. Hope they treat you just as well on those mountain roads. Safe travels and we'll definitely make sure Dee Dee gets the shoutout.

Just got these on and haven’t been able to do a lot of testing yet, but it looks like they command their price. Huge difference in sag in the rear end of our Honda Pilot. As others have appeared to do in this review section before me, I started using a WDH with these and that looks to really be the winning combination with the Timbren SES. Our travel trailer is 3,500 lbs and it was squatting the pilot pretty well before. This timbren SES is a great addition. Can’t go wrong.

Awesome! Glad to hear the Timbrens made such a big difference in the ride quality. Thanks for sharing! Happy travels!

by:
Absolutely Pleased with the TIMBRENS. They were easy to install, and took less than an hour to install both. I noticed a slight stiffness in the ride as the rear bounced over a bad roadway. Towing is great, with a nice level and smooth ride. I am glad that I did not order the heavier duty Timbrens, than what was recomended for my truck. I believe the ride would have been too stiff. If you look at the photos showing the timbrens, the truck is still lifted in the rear, so what you see is a big gap between the rubber, and the steal plate. When the truck is lowered, there's 1" of space as it should be. BTW, I have been purchasing from etrailer for years now, and I have to say that I have never had any issues with any orders. They are my go to folks for all of my vehicle suppension stuff and trailer stuff. You can't go wrong with buying from them.

The TIMBRENs work as stated during when I am pulling anything heavy. However, when the truck is not pulling anything, anyone riding in the rear seat gets a very hard jarring jolt when driving over any roadway repairs, bumps, expansion joints on bridges. I wished that I would have went with the Super Springs, or the Road Active Suspension. I may replace the TIMBRENS later.

@Don I'm sorry to hear that the Timbrens didn’t pan out to be as great as you originally hoped. Swapping over to the SuperSprings or the RoadActive Suspension will definitely have less of an impact on your day-to-day driving. Out of the two, the RoadActive Suspension would have the least effect. If you ever have questions about the RoadActive Suspension or the SuperSprings, let me know and I’d be happy to help out.

It has been almost a year since I installed Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems (DVF350 and DVR350R) on the front and rear of my 2003 Dodge RAM Van 3500. These bumpers replaced the OEM bump stops that were on my van. I like the Timbren bumpers much better than the OEM bump stops because they provide a progressively cushioned response for suspension compression when traveling over significant humps like speed bumps in a parking lot, or curb ramps into driveways. I did not like the abrupt stop the OEM bump stops provided when traveling over the same objects. I installed the Timbren rear bumpers first, and after a few months of use, I decided to add them to the front. In both cases, the front and rear Timbren bumpers were easy to install once the OEM bump stops were removed. Installation required reuse of the factory hardware. On my van, the Timbren bumpers are not always engaged. Under normal load and travel conditions the bumpers are relaxed and about 1/2” away from the suspension landing points. However, their presence is much appreciated and very noticeable when the van is carrying heavy loads or handling significant humps.

Glad to hear the Timbren systems worked out so well for your RAM Van Mitchell! It’s great that you noticed the smoother, more progressive response compared to the factory bump stops, especially under load. Thanks for sharing your experience with both the front and rear installs, that’s really helpful for others considering the upgrade. What kind of loads are you usually hauling with your van?

by:
The timbres bump stop is exactly the right height to meet the axel when the trailer is connected with all its weight onto the hitch. I have an Andersen weight distribution hitch and it levels out perfectly. The day picture is with the coach (Winn 2100bh) with factory equipment. The night picture is after the timbres are in place. Looks good.

They definitely look like they are helping, Orlando! How are they when you aren't towing? We hear a lot of people say they can be pretty harsh when unloaded.

Stiffens and corrects kneel in rear end of 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. You will notice a stiffening of the rear end suspension while unloaded, but it’s a fair trade off to prevent sagging and porpoising while towing. I found it easier to pull the rear wheels and work from the side than underneath the vehicle while installing.

Bud, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! I'm glad to hear the suspension upgrade helped reduce the sagging and porpoising while towing. I also really appreciate you including the installation pictures and sharing your tip about removing the rear wheels. I'm sure that will help the next person tackling the install. Thanks again for choosing etrailer!

by:
The Timbren overload spring/bumper was east to install and did what it was supposed to do when I hitched up a camp trailer. These did not negatively affect the ride by any means and I don't have to worry about the troubles with air bags.
by:
A very simple and straightforward installation once you get the oem bumper stops off (had a shop do that)
Timbren worked with me as I had a non OEM frame height (vehicle was lower than stock) to recommend the proper kit. Highly recommend contacting timbren if you are unsure of the proper kit to use. Ride is more stable. It does feel stiffer and less bouncy but am looking forward to seeing how it performs with my truck camper. Truck is a 1998 dodge ram 2500. Brake line over left side of axle needed to be secured to prevent damage.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out, that’s actually a common issue with this type of trim. The one you tried is a standard flat insert, but some RVs (like your NOBO) use a slightly domed trim to help it sit over the screw heads in the track. If the screws stick up even a little, a flat trim won’t fully snap in place, which sounds like what you’re running into. The best way to find the right replacement is to remove a small piece of your original trim, lay it flat, and measure the full width from edge to edge. Most are either 3/4" or 1", but the shape matters too, not just the width. If yours has that domed profile, you’ll want something similar or a softer vinyl that can flex over the screws. If you’re able to send a quick photo of your track or old trim, I’d be happy to help you find a better match.

Well they are exactly what I thought it would be. Hard for me to say it's what I needed yet.
I installed them on a homemade trailer from a salvaged 2001 base model tacoma. Once I get finished building it out and have some weight in it I'll have a better idea. But from what I've seen so far on a couple test drives they should come into effect when needed.
For reference I building an Tacoma based trailer with an ARE Contractor topper with a Naturnest roof top tent on the very top. So to counter and sway these should be very helpful. At least I hope so. I'm not an engineer but I did stay at an Holliday Inn once.

The Timbren SES is a simple solution for rear squat when towing. When hitched to my 30' Airstream Globetrotter (8800 GVWR) with a tongue weight around 1200 lbs, my Silverado 2500HD had a bit more squat than is ideal. I shopped airbags but didn't want to spend ~$2K for the set up and didn't want the hassle of installation and forever chasing air leaks. The Timbren SES literally installs on the Silverado in about 15 minutes. So simple. No bags, no compressor, no wiring, no air lines, no leaks. And WAY less expensive to boot. Just returned form a 600+ mile trip and it towed flawlessly.

2,000 miles in on a trip from the east coast to the Canadian Rockies these work great while loaded and towing. Close to zero bounce while towing, I love them. Unloaded, however, the ride in my 2026 Tundra has gone south. There is a noticeable, abrupt stop of the units hitting the axle when going over any kind of bump. When I get home and back to regular driving, I may just take them off, its that bad.

Glad they are working well for you, Kevin! Well, while you are towing, that is. We have heard that these can be pretty rough when unloaded, but work great when you are loaded. A quick release function on these would make taking them off when not towing a lot easier. I may pitch that to Timbren to see if they can work something out. I will tell them to call it something like the Kevin Device if they agree! ^___^ Sounds like quite the trip! What has been your favorite stop so far?

The best option for suspension enhancement for your 2006 Toyota Tacoma, as it looks like you have a heavy load in the back of the truck, is the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORXR. • How to Correct for Rear-End Sag in 2013 Toyota Tacoma When Trailer is Hitched
It is normal for a trailer's tongue weight (TW) to cause some sag in the tow vehicle's rear suspension. This provides some compensation for that normal sag and usually allows the hitched trailer to remain level, which is important for good handling.
