Today were going to review part number DZ9170. This is the DZ blue label truck bed tool box. This is the crossover style. It is aluminum and it is silver in color. Interior capacity is 12.8 cubic feet. This is a contractor grade, rust proof, bright tread, aluminum construction.

It is rectangular and it is the crossover style. This ergonomic design will set the tool box apart from other models. It is a very easy opening tool box with just the push of a button here on the side. There is one on this side and one on that side. You can open it from either side. It has the dual gas shocks, one on each end here, that provides smooth control lifting and lowering of the lid.

Right here it has the adjustable strikers, one over there, one over there. These lid strikers will let you customize the striker position and give you the right gasket compression to ensure proper closure, no matter how hard you shut this lid. Right down in here, these strikers will attach to these self-centering latches which will align perfectly every time, so when you push the lid closed, it will lock to those strikers. Now the buttons on the side here, there is one on each end, if I could turn it a little bit to show you. They are lockable, you can just flip open this cover and you have access to the lock. Let me get the keys and show you here, it comes with two sets of keys, so a total of four keys.

What Im going to do is if we close this and then we flip open the cover right there, you see the lock cylinder. Youll just turn it a quarter of a turn, just like that, pull the key out, push the cover back, and when you push the button, it will not unlock the lid. It does stay locked. Then to unlock it, just put the key back in, turn it that quarter of a turn, close the cover, and now it will open right up. This will give you secure, weather resistant storage for your pickup truck. The front, the bottom and the back is all one single piece.

The ends are welded on to provide maximum strength and durability. Right in front here, youll notice this groove, here. This is actually a patent pending, integrated alumiguard body channel that will make the toolbox very sturdy. It does have a hidden hinge on the lid that will run the full length of the box. It will help minimize wear and prevent theft. It does use an automotive grade rubber bulb seal around the whole inside of the lid. This offers superior protection from any water, dust, grime, or elements. It is a very simple installation. It does come with the J-hook hardware, right here that you can see, and all the nuts and washers that are needed. It will mount to the side rails of your truck bed, basically these ledges right here will sit on your side rails of the truck bed and then you just attach the J-bolts to the truck bed to hold it into place. It does require no drilling on the truck, just on the toolbox. You just have to drill holes for the J-hooks and there is no drilling required on your truck. It does have this hat- style lid that you can see when you close it, it overhangs the toolbox. It does open from front to back, as you can see right here. Also on the lid, if youll notice this V-channel that goes the full length of the lid, that is actually a V pan support which will give rigidity to this lid. It supports the lid and keeps it all in one piece. It does have this removable plastic tool tray. You can take it out if you dont need it. If you need it, it can sit on these ledges and slide back and forth. It does have a nice clear powder coat finish over the toolbox. It is made in the USA. I do want to give you a few dimensions on this. The overall length is going to be right at 70 inches. The overall width is right at 20 inches and overall height is right at about 17 inches. Now when you do close the lid, it will add about 1 inch to those measurements. The height of the box above the truck bed rails, right here where it sits on the truck bed rails will be 5 inches. Again the interior capacity is 12.8 cubic feet. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty. Again, you can just push it closed, and then push the button, theres one here and theres one on that end, just push it to open it.
