These custom fit tie-downs give you the safest and most comfortable ride when hauling a camper. They mount to the frame of your pickup - no drilling required! With the arms removed, the brackets can barely be seen.
Features:
If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Jeff Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we'll take a look at the Torklift custom front frame-mounted camper tie-downs. Now these are a custom fit part. They are designed to fit the 2000 to 2006 Toyota Tundra with the six foot bed and without a boarder step underneath the truck bed. And on a custom fit part like this I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year, model, vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, these tie-downs will provide the attachment points at the front of your truck for securing your bed mounted camper to your vehicle.
We do also sell the rear tie-downs. They are sold separately on our website. Basically one tie-down we'll go on the driver's side and one go on the passenger side. If you notice on the plate here there's two holes on the tie-down inserts and that's to allow you to con- connect your turnbuckles from your camper to your truck and not interfere with anything on your vehicle. This'll let you feel dramatic improvement with the vehicle handling and stability and it's the safest way to haul a truck camper, prevents vehicle swaying camper for movement in all directions.
You can haul your truck camper confidently by attaching the tie-downs to the strongest part of the truck, which is the frame. And the vehicle manufacturers are always recommended a full height sliding camper, body is be do- should be directly attached to the vehicle frame structure. And this is a frame mounted design. It gives you excellent handling by securing the camper to the truck's base instead of the bed and it better distributes the weight to keep the setup from being too top heavy. Also, what's nice about these is they'll help a ride bed and bumper damage, it's common with other tie-downs systems.
This one is a nice fast no-drill installation securing your truck camper to your truck and it helps you maintain the value of your truck and prevent rust and bed damage by avoiding any drilling into your truck, bed or bumper. As we mentioned, these are custom fit for your vehicle. They have driver's side and passenger side brackets and the brackets are designed to fit tight to the truck frame. There's no loss of any ground clearance so they're perfect for any off-road truck camping. And what's nice about it, is when you're not using these you can pull the pin and clip can remove the inserts.
And when you do that, these frame mounted brackets will be underneath the truck and they're virtually undetectable when they're not being used. And then when you go to use your tie-downs, you- all you have to do is in search here, there's a hole there. You see that you line up with the hole in the frame bracket. Once you sling that- slide that all the way in. Once you get that hole, lined up, slide your pin and clip through there, clip it, and it holds it into place and you're ready to attach your turnbuckles to that. These are a nice steel construction. They have a nice black powder coat finish on them for durability. This part will include I everything laid out here on the table. The two front tie-down inserts, the frame brackets all the necessary hardware to install it. Even a nice set of installation instructions that'll describe how this installs and how it operates. These parts are made in the USA. But that should do it for the review on the Torklift custom front frame mounted camper tie-downs..
