You pull up to a trailer with a 4-flat plug and know that your vehicle only has a 7-Way connector. Instead of reworking your wiring, you attach this adapter and see the trailer lights respond. You get back on the road without changing your setup.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this TowSmart seven-way RV style to four-way flat trailer connector adapter. Folks, this is about 12 inches long, and as I just mentioned, this will simply plug into your seven-way RV style plug and adapt down to the four-flat connection. So you do have some bend, if you want to call it that, some flexibility if it's not lined up, et cetera. And obviously you can pull these with your fingers.
This latch, or this tab here, is going to line up inside the socket and make sure that you got it orientated correctly. Normally you're using something like this if you're pulling a trailer that doesn't have the seven round, obviously, but has the four flat. They do make these without the wire as well, sold separately. But if you want something like this, this will give you the flexibility of movement and kind of keep this safe and secure. So I personally like these better myself just because of that little thing right there other than the ones that are fixed, but that's just me.
So this again is our TowSmart seven blade, seven-way RV down to a four pole or four flat style trailer connector adapter. I'm Steve with etrailer. Thanks for watching.
