This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
This aluminum wheel comes with steel inserts in the lug nut wells. The inserts are pressed into the aluminum, and they help prevent the holes from wearing down over time. This ensures that the wheel stays secured to your trailer hub and that you won't have to constantly retorque the lug nuts.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Lionshead 17 1/2 by 6 3/4 inch Phoenix, glossy black aluminum trailer wheel with the 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now this is an aluminum wheel. It's very durable, lightweight, and rustproof. And this is the Phoenix Series wheel. And that design is a split 5-spoke, if you can see here, has a nice glossy black finish.
But then if you notice, on the edge of the spokes has a machine face, and even on the lift they do a machine face to give it some shine. They do use an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front, protects from the scuffs and the scratches. And one of the nice features I like on this wheel, it uses the steel inserts in the lug nut wells and that's designed to help keep your wheel securely in place on the trailer hub. So basically when you put this on your trailer, goes over the wheel studs, you put your lugs in, and then you'll torque the lugs down. So these steel inserts will prevent the holes from elongating, eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of your lug nuts.
This, they do offer complimentary roadside assistance for two years. Also, flat tire services available 24/7 anywhere in the US, Canada, or Puerto Rico. If you notice right here, they do include a metal valve stem. It's all installed. Now the center cap is not included.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that'll match the pilot hole diameter right here, 'cause when you install your center cap, you'll install it from the back of the wheel and push it out so it installs in this opening. And the diameter of this pilot hole is 4.9 inches. This wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications and the SAEJ 1204 standards. A few specs on this, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width on this wheel.
And when you, you measure the diameter, it's always measured inside the inside. So to give you an idea, we're gonna take our tape measure and we're gonna go across. You should be able to see it's 17 1/2 inch diameter. The width is the same way. It's gonna be bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside. It's gonna be right at 6 3/4 inches wide. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is an 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, it's an even number of lugs, like in this case eight. It's pretty simple 'cause if you notice the lug holes are directly across from each other, so it's pretty easy to measure. What you'll do is just pick any hole, let's say this one, measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the one right across from it. So on this will measure 6 1/2 inches. So that means it's an 8 lug 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 9/16 by 18, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 4,850 pounds. But that should do it for the reveal on this Lionshead 17 1/2 inch by 6 3/4 inch Phoenix, glossy black aluminum trailer wheel with the 8 on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern.
