This is used with U-bolts to secure an axle to leaf springs which are mounted to the trailer frame. It's made from a durable steel construction. It attaches with two 5/8 inch diameter round U-bolts which are sold separately and available at E-trailer.com. This unit measures edge to edge going this direction about 9 inches and then going this direction, edge to edge, it measures about 6 inches.It fits round trailer axles with a 5 inch diameter. We can tell that by taking a measurement from this hole to this hole, closest edge to closest edge, and you can see that that measures 5 inches and it's designed for 3 inch wide leaf springs.
We can tell that by going edge to edge of the hole right here, and we can see that we got space in there for a 3 inch wide spring. It is designed for use with 10,000 pound heavy duty Dexter axles.
