Plate uses 5/8" diameter U-bolts to attach your round, 5" diameter trailer axle to your 3" wide leaf springs. Designed for use with 10,000-lb, heavy-duty Dexter axles.

Speaker 1: Today, we're taking a look at a U-bolt plate for 5 inch diameter round trailer axles with 3 inch wide springs. This is used with U-bolts to secure an axle to leaf springs which are mounted to the trailer frame. It's made from a durable steel construction. It attaches with two 5/8 inch diameter round U-bolts which are sold separately and available at E-trailer.com. This unit measures edge to edge going this direction about 9 inches and then going this direction, edge to edge, it measures about 6 inches.It fits round trailer axles with a 5 inch diameter. We can tell that by taking a measurement from this hole to this hole, closest edge to closest edge, and you can see that that measures 5 inches and it's designed for 3 inch wide leaf springs.
We can tell that by going edge to edge of the hole right here, and we can see that we got space in there for a 3 inch wide spring. It is designed for use with 10,000 pound heavy duty Dexter axles. That's gonna do it for today's look at the U-bolt plate for 5 inch diameter round trailer axles with 3 inch wide springs.

- What Are The Dimensions and Bolt Hole Spacing For U-Bolt Plate Part # 12-53I measured U-Bolt Plate, part # 12-53, and the bolt hole spacing is 5 inches inside hole to inside hole and 3 inches inside hole to inside hole. The overall dimensions of part #12-53 are 6 inches by 9 inches and 1/4 inch thick. I contacted our representative at Redline and he informed me that part # 12-53 can be used with 10K heavy duty, 5 inch round axles with 3 inch wide springs. I have linked a picture that I took of part # 12-53 that shows the dimensions and bolt hole spacing.
