Hidden hitch - not impressed with finish on product. Had numerous scratches/chips and some small areas that did not appear to have been finished in the first place. Hit it with a spray bomb before install. I live in the rust belt, would have liked better finish. Installation was a breeze.
Will not buy hidden hitch again, will try one of the other brands next time, from eTrailer of course.
I recently ordered 2 trailer hitches, which included the Hidden Hitch for my Honda Element. The order process and shipping with E-trailer was excellent. Nothing like ordering something and receiving it fast and without any hassles!
Packaging was solid, the only issue was the 2 hitches rubbed against each other a little bit and caused the finish to chip on both hitches. This really wasn't an e-trailer issue, as most trailer hitches have a weak finish.
I have only installed the Element hitch so far, which took me about 45 minutes solo. I think the trick for sliding the washers over the spacers is to slip them over during the tightening process. At least that seemed to work for my application.
The hitch appears to have excellent construction and though it will only be used for a bike rack, I wouldn't hesitate to pull a small boat or trailer.
The only thing that would have made the hitch better is a a more durable finish! but this appears to be the case with pretty much every trailer hitch I have ever dealt with.
Excellent experience from start to end. Follow up email after ordering along shipment tracking. I ordered late on a Sunday evening and my package was waiting on me when I came home from work on Wednesday. I even received a follow up email immediately after the item was delivered. The Hidden Hitch is heavy duty and far exceeds the towing capacity of the Element. I installed the hitch and the wiring harness in about 45 minutes. No problems at all and the instructions were good. The most difficult part was twisting my body to plug in the harness behind the dash. Good experience! Will order from etrailer again.
Just installed the hidden hitch on my 2010 Honda Element LX. Instructions were clear and simple. Saved myself $90 labor uhaul charges. E trailer shipped VERY fast and upgraded my shipping at no cost. Will install wiring later and add review for that. Worth noting though is the hitch WILL rub against the bumper fascia. Doesn't interfere with hitch and doesn't look bad so I'm not trimming my bumper.

I was very happy with the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Reciever I ordered from etrailer.com. It could have been installed very quickly had it not been for the slightly tweaked hook on the bottom of my Element's spare tire well. That was no fault of the hitch and I found it to be well constructed and more than capable of towing anything my car should be towing. Great product!
etrailer got the product out to me VERY quickly and for a fair price.
I would certainly use them again in the future.
The hitch was pretty easy to install. It took me longer than a lot of the other folks who posted reviews, but totally worth saving the money over Honda OEM and dealer install charges!
It would be alot easier to do w/ 2 people. It is pretty heavy - so make sure you are not under it until you have it secured. You do not want this this to drop on your head! I balanced it in place w/ some small coolers until I could get some bolts finger tight.

1 hour and 15 minutes to install my New etrailer Hidden Hitch And wiring kit on my 2010 Honda Element all by myself! Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Ok.. It was a bit of a challenge plugging the connector under the dash until I figured it you pull on it a bit, the connector drops down about 3 inches making it easier to plug in the kit pigtail. Not bad for a 58 year old 'Granny'! Thank you etrailer... Sorry UHaul, won't need you after all!
