2014 Subaru Outback Wagon

Great easy to install hitch. Just make sure that you have a torque wrench capable of registering 86 ft/lbs. I use this hitch to attach a small hitch rack for when I travel and it works fine for that purpose. May use it in the future to tow a small utility or jet ski trailer. It is unobtrusive when installed and rock solid with the 5 bolt attachment vs the competitor's 4 bolt. I would recommend this hitch to anybody looking to extend the utility of their Toyota iM.

I only use it for my bike rack but I have had no issues with it. Install was fairly easy, mostly bolts and trimming a piece of plastic to fit.

Decent price.
Unfortunately when we got the hitch the larger side on the right was bent at a 45 degree angle. Which is weird because the box wasn't damaged at all. My husband had to bend it back and tie a strap and force it into place.

The Curt trailer hitch part # C11420 has a 2,000 lb trailer towing capacity which would easily be enough capacity for a stand up jet ski or dirt bike since those vehicles and the trailer associated with them are pretty small and lightweight. Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Toyota Corolla iM for Carrying Bike Rack
For your 2017 Toyota Corolla iM the hitch you are going to want is the Draw Tite # 24952. It does not require the stabilizer strap like the Curt # C11420 does when carrying a bike rack so it would be the way to go. It also has a better price. The Draw Tite isn't necessarily stronger or weaker than the Curt. The strap recommendation is a warranty thing that Curt came up with. They tend to just be a bit more cautious than Draw Tite. For your bikes and rack the Draw Tite would work well.

The trailer hitch we offer for your iM is the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11420. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. This will work great for light towing. Curt requires a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 to be used for any non-trailer items used in the trailer hitch. If you need a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball I recommend the Euro style drawbar, part # C45571 and for a 2-inch you can use part # C45572. for a trailer wiring harness you can use part # C56309.

I don't think it would hurt anything to reinstall that tow hook on your 2016 Scion iM but at the same time I cannot recommend an installation that is different than what the instructions indicate. There is the chance that the thickness of that tow hook would make it so the bolts are not long enough to install properly and hold the hitch on which is why I advise against it.
