This is a very solid, well constructed hitch receiver which comes with all the hardware necessary for a polished installation. There are even bolts for replacing the plastic fasteners for the bumper tabs! This install took me about two hours as I was doing it solo and had to come up with some way of supporting the receiver while getting the initial bolts in place using materials on hand. Having a cat want to supervise me during the install also didn't help things! I followed the installation video step by step and all turned out perfect. Thanks for a great product!

It has been over 1 year of use, and the Eco Hitch for my PriusV has been solid. We have 2 heavy ebikes, totalling 170lbs, and a 50lb bike rack. When encountering rough roads or even no roads, the bikes hardly move, the hitch provides a solid platform for our rack.
This is a great product! The only “hitch” from my order is that etrailer forgot to include the hitch straps in my package so my installation was delayed a couple of weeks. Hunter from Torklift and Theresa from etrailer sorted it out for me. Installation is fairly easy as long as you have all the tools. I recommend lifting your car or using a ramp which makes so you have enough room to work with. It’s a great product and I won’t have problems looking for attachment because it’s a 2” receiver. I am excited for our next camping trip!

This hitch installed very easily onto my Prius V. The build quality seems excellent and every thing aligned perfectly. I will say that the pictures provided with the installation manual were rather small and I was having a hard time deciding what it was really showing but once I was under the car it was very easy to understand what needed to be done. Will buy from this supplier again and recommend them to any friends looking for these types of products.
etrailer's 2016 Prius V and 2017 Prius V videos were great. Followed the vid step-by-step. The paper instructions from Torklift were next to useless for me; tried reading but couldn't follow.
Definitely suggest having a second hand on standby while you are installing under the car.
etrailer's customer service was great. Kept me informed the entire way, even though they were short staffed and took longer than useless to ship out order; understandable during these times.
Sit flush, clean, and neatly tucked underneath bumper. Glad I got this over the cheaper lower hanging ones 1.25" options.
Problems:
No where, either from Torklift or etrailer, did it specify that I needed TWO 19mm sockets. So when it was time to tighten the bracket bolts, I had to make due w/ one 19mm socket and clamps. It was a giant PIA. Added close to an hour to install.
One major problem I discovered is inside of the hitch receiver is not coated properly, making it susceptible to rust. I installed it on Sunday. Monday night had a rainstorm come through (no rubber hitch cover yet since it's coming in the mail). Tues morning I discover rust inside the receiver already. I haven't even used this hitch yet. If I had left it uncovered for months it'd be understandable, but after one night of rain? I can and will obviously spray inside receiver w/ some rust enamel protection, but for a new xxx+$ hitch, I would expect Torklift to properly coat their hitch inside and out. I tried cleaning off the best I could but there's still rust where water sat overnight; you can see in the picture.

Awesome trailer hitch for my prius v!
Installed in about 15 minutes. No problems.
This is an excellent hitch. It bolts to Prius with not too much difficulty and is mostly hidden behind the bumper. The main reason I like it so much is that it is a full size class III hitch which can be used with the majority of bike racks and other hitch accessories. I also use it to pull a small utility trailer. Who needs a gas guzzling pickup truck?
my only reason for purchasing a class III hitch to my previous was to accommodate electrical lift for my wife's mobility scooter. Additionally I had a class I hits installed by the car dealer but it proved to be unable to meet the demands of what I needed. This hitch has proved to be an outstanding purchase and has provided superior performance. As a side benefit the 2 inch receiver has been extremely beneficial in accommodating other applications. The performance, price and ease of installation ( with the video) is excellent.
Great instructions, and it bolted into place perfectly. One year later, and it's holding perfectly. Obviously, I don't tow much with my Prius V, but it holds my 2", heavy duty E-bike rack with no problems.

Works great. So great that I never think of it, but Ive suggested etrailer.com to a couple friends looking for similar solutions.
Easy to install, and the design disappears under the car's bumper. This is my second purchase from Etrailer and I am very happy with their products and service.
Many many miles driven either with a One Up rack with bicycle or my On1Moto trailer. Hitch installed in the driveway pretty easily, and is super secure. No issues.
I was looking for a hitch that would handle light duty with strength to spare and this product did not disappoint!! Installation was easy with the guide and video. The Hitch was delivered on time and looks great. I apologize for the photo it's hard to see the hitch but--- that's the point isn't it.
The paper instructions were a bit confusing but the instructional video on this website helped with install. Took me a half hr to put on and it looks great! Will it hold the old WR is the real question, she weighs 255lb so we'll see. Yeehaw I done got a hitch on my prius!

EcoHitch is definitely the the best choice for a Prius V. Everything fits nicely behind the bumper. All that shows is the receiver. The instruction book, unfortunately, was not so easy to follow. It would have been very difficult to install the hitch receiver using just the instruction book. Fortunately, I watched the excellent installation video on Etrailer.com several times. After watching the video, I understood the instructions much better and the installation of the hitch went smooth.
Well, shipping was on the slow boat, but I got it, installed everything and all worked. Thanks! Loved the plug n play install
GREAT PIECE OF GEAR. Fit perfectly and easily on my 2012 PRIUS V. All parts were included and fit together exactly like the EXCELLENT install videos on your page. Well designed to easily fit into car area, and VERY solid once installed. Only issue I had was using the Larger split washer to attach to car, when they are for support bracket use, and on one side the hanging strap support ended up outside hitch support area rather than on inside. Both of these were easy fixes once I went back and watched directions again. Could be a one man job, but highly recommend having a buddy around to help with at least the initial attaching of Hitch to car. I was very impressed with quality of hitch and all pieces and parts. I would enthusiastically recommend this product and this provider. Delivered within 3 days even during the height of the bad weather. Came well packaged and easy enough for one person to move around. Also LOOKS GREAT on car.

STILL AWESOME AFTER A YEAR. So easy to use on the Prius, Perfect height and extension without being in the way. Ant say enough good things about it. Quit looking around, THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT, for your Prius V.
Got the hitch to put on the back of a 2015 Prius V, the larger Prius model. I wanted it to hold a Thule bike rack that would fit 4 bikes. We have used it for 2-4 bikes over the year, and it has worked perfectly.

Hitch still well attached. I have carried as many as 2 adult and 2 child bikes on the bike rack on my Prius V. No issues. Very satisfied.

The hitch looks really Good..Heavy duty with nice welds and finish looks like it will stand up against rust...Only 2 days after I ordered it was on my porch...Great company with great customer support
We’re very happy with our hitch. It was easy to install on our 2013 Prius V wagon, and works well with our Kuat bike rack. The rack is quite heavy and holds four bikes, so we needed the added capacity.

Easy install, maybe 20 minutes. No issues since. Haven’t even thought about it since I installed it. So. That’s probably a good sign.
So far it has been great. I think I could’ve installed it myself (65yr woman) but it just so happened that a friend of mine came by and I had him do it. it’s installed on a Toyota Prius V for a bicycle rack.

After one year, the receiver is still an integral part of the car as I haul the bike carriers and our bikes places that we could not ride before due to distance. I purchased a second receiver for our minivan what extends its versatility tenfold for use in hauling the bikes for extended trips or our utility trailer for home projects. Great product, great support, great team.
