Need to replace both brake assemblies and get back on the road? This self-adjusting brake assembly set helps maintain proper brake adjustment over time for more consistent braking performance on compatible heavy-duty trailer axles.
When the brake parts on both sides are worn, replacing each shoe, magnet, and spring separately can drag the job out. This kit gives you right- and left-hand assemblies for compatible 12,000 lb to 16,000 lb trailer axles, so the repair stays focused on swapping the assemblies and getting both sides back in service.
Manual brake adjustments are one of those trailer jobs most owners would rather not repeat. These self-adjusting assemblies maintain proper brake adjustment as components wear, which keeps your braking performance more consistent and eliminates the need to crawl back under the trailer for manual brake adjustments.
Brake fit matters before the old assemblies come off. This kit includes the right hand, or passenger's side, and left hand, or driver's side, assemblies and matches 12-1/4" diameter x 5" wide brakes with a 7 bolt mounting flange pattern on 12,000 lb to 16,000 lb axles. Mounting bolts and hardware are sold separately (BRKH122510) or can be sourced locally, so your install plan needs to account for those before the trailer is apart.

Hi, everyone, Steven here with the etrailer. Let's take a look at our Lippert Electric Trailer Brake Assemblies. Folks, you're gonna get a left-hand and a right-hand. These are both self-adjusting, and they are a 12 1/4-inch diameter by 5-inch-wide assembly. Now, folks, these are gonna be for a 12,000 up to 16,000-pound axle. As you probably know, these trailer brake assemblies are what helps provide that braking performance that you need.
And it's very important that you have that, especially on some brakes this size, obviously, again, that five-inch pad. And spinning around, you can see the dust plate back here. It does come with it. It's just kinda loosely fitting back there until you get it bolted in place. So, you get the hardware and all that stuff as well it looks like in the box.
I just put the brake assemblies up here today for you. And of course, you got your magnet and the wires that come through the back for getting everything wired up. Now, as I mentioned, these are self-adjusting, so you got that silver aperture on the right-hand side here with the cable, and on the left-hand side, they got the black aperture with the cable. And of course, at the bottom, should you need to, you do have the adjustment star wheel, and then on the back, you do have the rubber plugs that you can take out then put your brake adjustment tool in there if you need to. Now, that being said, these are designed to where you don't have to worry about adjusting 'em, but sometimes when you first set 'em up, you obviously wanna make sure that you set 'em up, so you may have to do some minor adjusting when you first install them.
That being said, you don't want to install these, no problem. You can use our Installer Locator link below. Based on your ZIP code, we can help pair you up and locate somebody that we're trusted partners with in your area to do the install. Now, on the inside of this red mounting flange here, that's a seven-bolt pattern for the mounting flange. And again, folks, you're gonna get the left-hand assembly and the right-hand assembly as well.
Well, folks, I think that's gonna wrap up our time together. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching. As always, stay safe while you're towing.

They didn't fit my axle. Customer support was extremely helpful with a return. I needed the brake for the post 2009.
The brakes that I ordered arrived on time. And it was the correct product as advertised. If you’re needing ABS drilled brakes for a fifth wheel RV, I highly recommend Etrailer.
Perfect fit for my Lippert 7k axles. The passenger side was worse than the driver's side. Wires were cut on both on passenger side. One of the passenger side completely fell apart when I removed the drum wit one lone spring still hanging on. While the driver's side only needed shoes, I decided to order new for that side also. That gave me self adjusting housings all around. Very pleased!!
