Today we're going to take a look at the K Source Custom electric driver's and passenger side extendable towing mirrors. These are a custom fit part, they are designed to fit the 2009 to 2014 Ford Van with the non-heated power mirrors. Now anytime on a custom fit part I always like to recommend to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year, model, vehicle and it will show you if these will work for your application. These are an extendable towing mirror which will replace the factory side view mirrors on your vehicle so there's no need for any of the towing snap on or strap on mirrors that you constantly have to put on or take off. Both these mirrors have the telescoping function right here which will make it easy to see around the side of your trailer so that you can safely change lanes, pass, or park. Basically, all you have to do is manually just pull the mirror out away from your vehicle and extend your line of sight by about three inches and then when you're done you just go ahead and push them right back into place when you're not towing. Now the top portion of the large mirror is a power mirror adjustment. It will let you change your mirror face position with the factory control inside your vehicle.
The very small mirror you can see at the bottom of the mirror itself, that is a built in spotter mirror. That reduces a lot of your blind spots and that one is a manual adjustment so that one you do have to use your hand to adjust that one. Both these mirrors have a hinged design which allows the mirrors to fold up against the vehicle for when you're parking or for fitting into tight spaces. The mirrors are a durable plastic housing, have a nice textured black finish to them and as I mentioned they are custom designed to provide a perfect, secure fit for your vehicle. They are a simple, no drill installation. If you can see right here, they do use the same footprint and mounting points as your factor mirrors.
They do come with new foam gaskets for installation and even the mounting hardware for them. If you notice, they each have a plug. THey're designed to plug into your factory connection for the electric function of the mirror. Now this part includes both the driver's side and the passenger side mirrors. I do want to give you some measurements on these. We're going to measure the face of them mirror itself.
The dual face mirror right here, we're going to measure the width and the overall height including the spotter mirror. If I put a ruler on the mirror portion it's right at seven inches wide and again the height including the spotter mirror is going to be right at eleven inches tall. Now the retracted length, like this one, it's pushed all the way in towards the vehicle. The retracted length measures from here to here as seventeen and a half inches. When you pull this out, the extra three inches, your extended length would be twenty and a half inches. One last note on these mirrors, I do want to mention that you can not upgrade to a power mirror if your OE or factory mirror is not already equipped with that function. But that should do it for the review on the K Source Custom electric driver's and passenger side extendable towing mirrors..

My van ended up being an early 2002 so the mirrors did not fit. I had no problems returning them and ordering the correct ones. etrailer has excellent customer service and Paula was great.
I have to tell you that these mirrors are great. After a little time installing them, I have no problems with them. When they are extended out, there is very little to no vibrations of the mirror. I would recommend this mirrors 100%.

These mirrors were and exact fit, lock like factory, easy to install. They have only been on for a couple days. From the time of unpacking to installation they just seem well built, heavy duty, time will tell about the electronic parts. I would defiantly buy these again.

I used videos from [another site] for information on removing the door panels to access the mounting point of the old mirrors. With the old mirrors removed installation of these replacement towing mirrors was smooth and accomplished in 45 minutes. They look great and improve the viewable field.
