When you’re not towing, this base plate keeps a clean and factory-style look. The concealed main body stays out of sight, so there’s no bulky hardware showing on the front end. The removable arms twist and lock into place when it’s time to tow and come off just as easily when you’re done. It’s a neat setup that looks good and stays out of the way.
The twist-lock tabs make connecting your tow bar fast and straightforward. Just insert, twist, and secure—it’s quick to do even if you’re setting up alone. The design lets you add or remove the arms as needed without tools, which means less hassle each time you hook up for a trip.
This kit is built from welded steel for dependable strength and fit. It spreads towing forces evenly to minimize weight on the suspension and bolts securely to the vehicle chassis with no welding required. Each kit is physically tested to the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), so you can count on it to hold up through miles of towing.
For protection that lasts, the base plate is coated inside and out with a high-gloss black powder coat finish and a rust-resistant liquid A-coat. That double layer helps prevent corrosion and keeps the hardware looking sharp over time, even after road trips through rain or snow.
Everything needed for installation comes in the box—base plate and mounting hardware included. The design bolts directly to the chassis and doesn’t require welding, making it a straightforward install for a weekend project. Distance between brackets is 18" and bracket height is 17-3/4", so you can plan your setup around those exact specs.

Base Plates mounted on my 2022 Ford Bronco is holding up 100. Great quality finish that has not rusted. I have seen base plates from other companies being installed on Broncos and they are making major modifications. Not my Curt Custom Base Plates. An easy DYI with no major modifications. We have towed our Bronco 13,000 miles behind our Class A and its a flawless tow. These base plates were also priced much better then other brands. Thank you Etrailer!
