A lot of retractable covers can feel stiff or awkward to use, but the UltraGroove opens and closes with just a turn of the handle. The tension spring inside the 9-1/4" x 9-3/4" canister automatically retracts the cover, and a built-in pull strap makes it easy to close again. It locks securely at 12" intervals, so you can leave part of the bed open for taller items without losing coverage near the cab. The motion is smooth and takes little effort, which is something owners really appreciate day to day.
Rain, snow, or dust isn’t a problem with this cover. The ArmorTek deck uses vinyl bonded to rigid aluminum slats, giving you the clean look of a soft cover with the strength of a hard one. Multiple seals around the rails, endcaps, and tailgate keep out water and debris. Drain tubes at both the front and rear channel runoff through factory holes in the bed so water doesn’t pool or freeze in the tracks. Even after heavy storms or car washes, gear stays dry and protected under this setup.
If you like to carry bikes, kayaks, ladders, or camping gear, the built-in T-slots make setup simple. The rails run the full length of the bed so you can position accessories where they fit best. They work with racks that use standard T-slot hardware, letting you haul gear above the bed while keeping cargo below covered and secure. The low profile—about one inch above the bed rails—keeps everything looking streamlined and helps with aerodynamics while driving.
When security matters, this cover stands out. Both the handle and pull strap sit underneath the rear plate, so they’re inaccessible once the tailgate is closed and locked. The aluminum panels resist prying or cutting far better than soft covers, giving solid protection against break-ins. Owners like knowing that short of destroying the metal panels themselves, there’s no easy way inside.
Installing the UltraGroove doesn’t require drilling or special tools. The rails clamp inside the bed using two clamps per side with built-in kickstands to keep them level. Shims are included for tapered beds so you can get a tight seal along both sides. Once mounted, it opens smoothly and lines up cleanly against the tailgate without constant adjusting—a solid fit right from install.

Yes, one year later this cover is great and even with hard Northeast winter this winter it held up with no issues. Love this cover for our 5th wheel while towing.

I enjoy it very much. I added extra foam to seal around tail gate. After a good rain or thru the car wash, it still doesnt leak. I highly recommend this product.

This product is great, I love this tonneau cover and has work flawlessly. When Im towing I can pull it closed 1 click to help with the wind and it has been great. I appreciate Etrailer with helping with this purchase and we are looking to upgrade our truck and when we purchase our new one I want to purchase this same cover again. It does take away alittle from the bed but the 5th wheel hitch in summer pretty much makes my bed useless anyway.

This is one of those purchases that if you had it to do again, you probably wouldn’t!!! Fairly complicated to install with the instructions given, and I’m pretty capable of installing anything. Anytime you park, you have to be sure you’re not under a tree that might small pieces onto the tonneau or it gets stuck in the rails and is hard to open or close. Also, believe it or not, less than a month after I purchased it and installed it, someone stole one of the hold-down brackets and neither eTrailer or the company could come up with a replacement. I had to fashion one myself! Most of the time, the top is hard to open or close. Wish I had purchased a canopy instead!!!

Easy to install and havent had a of water intrude after 2 severe storms. Was able to install Truxedo Elevate Telescoping Rack into T-slots without issue, Id include a picture but not letting me upload.
