When you need to grab something out of the bed fast, the tri-fold design makes it easy. Just lift the rear panel at the tailgate to reach smaller items or fold up the rear and center sections to open two-thirds of the bed. The lightweight aluminum frame keeps the panels solid yet easy to handle, so you can open or close it in seconds without wrestling with heavy parts.
Rain, snow, and road spray can sneak into a lot of covers, but this one uses a full perimeter rubber seal to keep water out. The seal closes snug against the bed rails to block leaks and keep your tools, groceries, or camping gear dry. Even through storms or car washes, it keeps the inside of the bed protected from the elements.
The smooth vinyl top sits over a sturdy aluminum frame that gives the truck a clean, aerodynamic look. Because it rides on top of the bed rails, air flows over it instead of catching beneath it, which helps cut down drag and can improve fuel economy. The standard profile also keeps the truck looking neat and simple.
When you need the full bed for hauling larger items, the whole cover comes off without tools. The clamping system is built right into the frame, so there are no loose parts or separate bolts to keep track of. Just release the spring-loaded clamps, lift off the cover, and the bed is wide open with nothing left behind.
Once the tailgate is shut and locked, the spring-loaded clamps keep the cover held tight and secure. They stay tensioned against the bed rails, sealing everything down without extra effort. It’s a quick, confident close that keeps cargo safe and the cover tight while you drive.

2 years in the cover still looks and fits great. No visable signs of wear. Great product.

That’s actually a pretty common thing with soft tonneau covers like this. When the temperature rises, the vinyl naturally expands, which can cause it to sag a bit in certain spots. It’s not a defect or anything like that, just the way the material reacts to heat. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that can be done to prevent it, especially in hotter climates, but the cover will still do its job of protecting your truck bed. Speaking of which, what do you keep in your bed?

Thanks for your feedback Eric and we apologize that was your experience, The Extang E-series is designed with weather seals and generally does a good job keeping water out during normal rain and driving conditions but like most soft folding tonneau covers, it is not completely waterproof. Going through a car wash, especially one with high pressure sprays or brushes could cause water to seep in around the seals or tailgate area. Touchless washes are usually safer than brush style washes for soft covers like this.
