When the road disappears under several inches of snow, these Titan Chain tire chains keep you going. The round twist links dig into deep snow for solid traction while still giving a smoother, quieter ride than square links. You’ll get the grip you need to stay steady on slick ice or packed snow without feeling every bump under the tire.
The ladder pattern layout is built for forward motion. As each rung grabs the surface under your tire, it helps you climb steep driveways or pull through snowdrifts without losing momentum. It’s a simple, proven design that works great for deep snow, mud, or icy on-road conditions.
Getting chains snug on your tires is quick thanks to the cam tighteners. Just twist the cams with the included tool until the chain pulls tight evenly around your tire. This assisted tensioning setup saves time and keeps the chains from loosening while you drive. Add optional rubber adjusters (sold separately) for an even firmer fit.

Each link is made from low-carbon steel that holds up to repeated use in tough winter conditions. The 8 mm (0.314") thick links resist wear from snow, ice, and grit so you can count on them season after season. Dry them after each use before storing to help extend their life.
Whether you’re outfitting a truck or another heavy-duty setup, this pair of Titan Chains covers larger tire sizes. You get two chains in the set, ready to handle snowy roads and keep you working or traveling safely when winter weather hits.

These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Hey, everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains. So these are a ladder pattern style chain. What that means is we're just going to have these cross chains going across. So these are gonna leave a little bit of gap. So we are gonna kinda go from chain to rubber, to chain to rubber.
These aren't going to be the smoothest of all the chains that you have, but when it comes to ladder rack or ladder pattern style chains, this is going to be fairly smooth because we do have the twist links. It's not gonna be as aggressive as the V-Bar style chains, because those are extremely aggressive. Those are gonna be for off-road and on-road. These are gonna be only for on-road, to make sure that you're not gonna go over 30 miles an hour 'cause they do have a speed rating. So you just want to make sure and do all of that.
One thing I like about these is the cam tensioners. These are really gonna take a lot of that slack out and you have a little tool that goes with it that goes in there. Which you have plenty of leverage to be able to get those chains on there. So it's going to be nice and tight. And another thing that I really noticed, we have one little section right here.
That's kind of close, but if you position them right, we're not gonna really have any contact with our wheels. I like that just because these aren't coated or anything, they're just made of a low carbon steel. So if it does start to hit these wheels, maybe we have some icy, deep snow and might start to kind of push in on this, but it's not really going to mess the sidewall of your tire up at all. If I we're to recommend another chain, it would just be the chains that aren't ladder pattern style. 'Cause these, you have to get down on the ground and make that connection in the back.
If you prepare for it in your garage, obviously you're not gonna have to get down in the snow, but odds a lot of the times you're just stuck, and that's why you put chains on. So with this you're gonna have to kinda get down and get a little wet whenever you install these. So we do have other ones that are just gonna have a connection in the back, they come as self-tensioning tire chains. And another thing that's nice about those. We don't have to grab the rubber tensioners. But these are gonna get the job done. You know, I don't really care, what's on my tires. I just wanna get unstuck. And these are gonna do that for you. It does come in a pack of two. So all you got to do is grab one of these and put 'em on your rear wheels. Just want to make sure and check your owner's manuals. Figure out exactly where the manufacturer wants you to put the chains. So always check just to be safe. And then it does come in a little canvas bag. This isn't my favorite bag. It does tend to kind of rip they do fit in there. So it's not really tough to get 'em in, once you take them off your tires, but this does rip over time. The chains are gonna last a long time, multiple seasons, easy. The bag, probably not. Some of the other options that aren't ladder pattern styles come in a hard carrying case, which is also a little bit easier and more aesthetically pleasing than just an old canvas bag. So, if you really are kind of looking for the whole entire package deal. Where you don't have to grab extra tensioners and you have a really nice carrying case. We do have a lot on our website, but these are going to get the job done. And that'll do it for a look at the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains..
Ratings & Reviews
Have not used them, only did a test fit which was easy.
Work great and easy to install
Good quality. The Cam style is worth any extra money if so required and is the way to go
etrailer was the best price I could fine, they even beat [online]. Shipping was free, what a bargain for a heavy duty set of Light Truck snow chains !
I've had very positive experience with this company. Last winter I ordered cable-chains from another provider. They weren't up to the task I needed and one set broke pretty quickly. I then ordered a single set (two tires) of chains from etailer to replace the cable-chain that snapped. The purchasing process was seamless, they arrived quickly and they were of very high quality. They took me through the rest of a challenging winter season.
With another winter now approaching, I just ordered a 2nd set so I can install them on all four tires. I won't bother to try to use the cable-chains.
Good company, good product.
I HAVE BOUGHT 3 PAIR OF CHAINS FROM etrailer AND GOT FAST SHIPPING ON ALL 3 PAIR . 2 DAYS EXC SERVIRE. THE LAST PAIR I BOUGHT WAS FOR MY UTV. THESE CHAINS WERE NOT MADE FOR THE UTV . I NEW THIS BEFORE I BOUGHT THEM . MY UTV HAS OVERSIZE TIRES ON IT AND ATV/ UTV CHAINS WANT FIT IT SO I BOUGHT THESE CHAINS , HAD TO CUT 10 INCHES OFF BUT THEY WERE WHAT I WANTED AND THEY WORK PERFIT.EXCELLENT SERVICE , THANKS etrailer.
A Bag of Chains is better that a Sack of Coal for Christmas.
Seriously, if it's slick outside from snow or ice, one bag of tire chains will get me home safely. With a rear wheel drive pickup, I would need 10 bags of coal to get a grip. I'm glad they came in a heavy duty canvas bag which takes up less room than a plastic box- that might not last a season. Also, etrailer.com had an easy-to-use tire size guide to match to the right products, and a good selection of products to choose from. Mainly, these chains give me the confidence to be the backcountry when the weather report is sketchy.
They will work for me, I may not to ever have to use them but I’ll have them in my truck if I do. I have to have a set in my truck so I can drive over the pass’s without getting a ticket this time of the year.
These chains are just what I wanted! Heavy links and the cam lock are quick and make the chains fit tight!
Excellent quality for the price!
Nice high quality chains in a durable storage bag, perfect for my RV
They can be difficult to lay out untwisted so the cams are facing the same way. Take some time practicing before you need them. The bag they come in is basically for shipping. I bought a good small tool bag from harbor freight that works much better for under $10.00
Titan products appear to be good quality with very good pricing. Order process was good with fast free shipping. All good.
Good chains, but were a bit too long for my 2017 Lexus GX, so a few links of chain had to be cut with a bolt cutter. Even with the chain cut, there is a little extra length that needs to be tied up so that it isn’t clunking as you drive. I’ve had plenty of experience installing chains (both cable and regular) and these were the most difficult ones I’ve ever put on. Hopefully this gets a bit easier with practice!
I had some concerns about the chains fitting my vehicle, 2015 Ram 1500 with P275/60R20. I couldn't find any information from Dodge, nor my dealer, but Etrailer.com just happen to have a video showing 3 options for my exact truck. I tried them on to make sure they fit, and they fit pretty snug and look like they will do just fine. I haven't tested them in the snow, but I will write a follow up review once that happens.
This is the 3rd set of chains I've bought from eTrailer, the first 2 sets were for my work truck and this most recent purchase was for my personal truck.
I work as a delivery driver and bought the first set of chains because i don't have a lot of say which snowy/icy roads i deliver to. Being a work truck the first set of chains got abused a bit so when they finally failed it wasn't unexpected, but up until that point they were nothing short of perfect.
So far the 2nd set for my work truck is going strong (with a bit more effort not to abuse them as much).
This 3rd set is for my personal truck and more for peace-of-mind than anything else, i doubt they will see more than extremely rare use but i have no doubts that they will work as well as i expect them to.
I have not yet taken advantage of the "customer service" from eTrailer since every single thing I've ordered has been received and worked exactly as expected. Communication regarding my order and shipping has always been excellent and even better than i expected. Shipping has been super fast and I've received my products days before i thought i would.
***the picture included isn't exactly the best but you can see the chains and conditions that day (that truck is about the worst vehicle for driving in winter conditions)... also those chains are a different size but they are the same chains.
I got the chains on just before a big snowfall. I put them on my plow truck. (Silverdo with a 8’ meyers) what a difference. Plowed up and down my ice and snow covered 1/4 mike drive with lots of curves and hills. Couldnt be happier with the chains. It took me 2 hours to install them. Never had chains before. There is a learning curve. I expect it will take me 1/2 hour next time. The cam tensioner wrench is made of really soft steel and broke within 15 minutes. I would recommend spending the money for a better one. They about as much as a beer at a ballgame.
Nice, quality chains. Cam tool included. Prompt shipping. We are no longer stranded in the cul-de-sac due to snow and ice.
Not sure these chains would last on a Ford F250 diesel. They are really designed for light weight subcompact passenger car. We shall see ....
I am not planning to carry any significant weight on the snow so they should hold up a few seasons. The price is awesome!
Same chain style as a semi-truck. They are heavy and a bit harder to install than cable chains, but with a lot more meat to bite the ice and snow. Comes in a cloth sack with a nice long chain key to turn the cams. Fit my BFG 275/65R18s perfectly. As the description says, you will need to supply your own rubber bungees to secure the end of the chain unless your tires are large enough to use all the links.
235/65/17 on a 08 rav4, fit is perfect, shipping was incredible, very happy!!! Live in Wisconsin so it’s a good chance I’ll need them but haven’t used them yet but quality looks great.
Was getting snowed on every few days, put on those chains has not snowed scence LOVE THOSE CHAINS
Delivered fast, popped these on to get gamiliare with them and actyally tested them out on a road that was snow packed solid ice, my truck would not spin... i tried to make it, but the chains would not allow it in my situation. Yes chains ride rough.. real rough to be honest, but its better than not making it to your destination. They are heavy ( a big pro) feel like excellent quality and would recommend them to anyone who lives in a state that allows them.
Great product & I love etrailer's tracking and customer services
I know iron. 17 yrs trucking, mostly doubles across Montana into the Dakotas. Chained up a lot.
Pictures show what you get with this set I bought for my 2005 Tahoe. Heavy gauge chains w/triple cam locks w/long wrench for excellent leverage to get cams tight. Tight cams mean links don't "slap" pavement which causes increased wear. They arrived today so not used yet. However, for my application they will last a lot longer than those cheaper; light gauge, "disposable" chains, use once and throw away after you pay a tow bill.
I haven’t used chains in 25 years. The cam locks on these chains are amazing. Makes installation super easy and the chains tight. They don’t fall off. I have them on my 78 f250 that I use for plowing my property and there is NO spin. My truck is 4x4 but I put them on the rear. Everything works well, chains are fantastic, easy install and very competitive pricing. Definitely recommend if looking for a set of chains
