    • V-bar-style twist links are studded to bite into surfaces
    • Ladder pattern provides good traction as you drive forward
  • Installs with effortless tensioning - just twist cams to pull the chain taut around the tire
    • Rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) are recommended for a tight fit
  • Resists corrosion thanks to nickel manganese alloy steel construction

  • Fits: 20" - 22-1/2" tires (for exact sizes, see below)
  • Link thickness: 8 mm (0.312")
  • Quantity: 2 tire chains
  • 30-Day limited warranty

Note: To determine whether you can use snow chains on your vehicle, or if they might affect your ABS/EPS functionality, consult your owner's manual.

V-Bar Icebreakers

V-Bar Icebreakers

These chains are outstanding in serious winter weather conditions because the V-bar studs can bust through intense ice and packed snow. So, you'll be able to get to work and back home again even in the toughest weather. You can also use them if you ever go off-roading and end up in a mud-digging situation. These chains are going to help give your vehicle purchase to pull out and keep moving.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer. You'll also need to know how much clearance is in your wheel well, which you can determine by measuring from your tire tread to the sidewall of the wheel well.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Installing Snow Chains

Installing these chains is simple.

Lay chains on the ground to get all the tangles out

1. Lay out the chains on the ground to make sure there are no twists or kinks.

Drape chains over tire.

2. Drape the chain over the tire, ensuring that the V-bar studs face away from the tire.

Make connections

3. On the back of the tire, pull the chain tight and hook the ends together. Repeat this on the front of the tire, then clamp the lever to fasten extra chain links and keep them from flapping as you drive.

Attach optional tensioners

4. Insert the included tool into the cam and twist to tighten the sidewall chain. Twist as many cams as it takes to get a tight fit.

Attach optional tensioners

5. Drive forward 2-3 vehicle lengths and recheck the chain tension. Tighten any loose cams. If needed, rubber adjusters (sold separately) can be used to help give you a tight fit. Make sure the hooks on the adjusters face away from your tire so your wheels don't get scratched.

Quick Tips:

  • Lengthen the life of snow chains by drying them after each use before you store them.
  • Check out our installation kit with safety lights and a kneeling pad (PO34FRK) to make things a little easier when you're installing chains out in the snow.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire.

Tire size on sidewall

185/60-15

  1. (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
  2. (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
  3. (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

  • What Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w Cams Will Fit P245/75R16 Tires?
Hey thanks for getting in touch, Karen. We do offer the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w Cams that will fit the P245/75R16 tires, but the # TC2828CAM are not quite the right size. What you will need instead are the # TC2821CAM as these will be the correct fit for your tires. Do you plan to use the chains frequently, or in an area with frequent, heavy snow? If so, we do offer some easy install drape-over chains that will also fit your tires, the Titan # TC2524. If you will be using them...

  • Recommended Heavy Duty Snow Tire Chains For a 1986 Ford F-350 With 235/85R16 Tires To Plow Snow
I recommend using the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains # TC2821CAM for the single tires on your 1986 Ford F-350 with LT235/85R16 tires. We do not have every vehicle fit in our guide due to the age of them. These chains have a heavy duty twist link with V-Bars for biting into ice and packed snow. The Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA3 will help to keep the chains tight as you drive and plow snow.

  • Recommended Tire Chains For A Tandem Axle Enclosed Trailer
It is possible to put tire chains of your trailer tires. We recommend putting chains on the braking axle only. It will help to add traction and keep your trailer aligned in extreme winter conditions. Some states even have laws that require chains on trailers with electric brakes in areas where chains are required. If chains are required on the vehicle, we highly recommend putting chains on the trailer as well. Use of any tire chain requires careful matching to the tire size and a check...

  • Can Size 225/75-16 Sized Tire Chains be Used for Size 235/85-16 Tires?
I found an answer that will work. Unfortunately, the Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern # TH01571245 cannot be modified without undermining the integrity/safety of the tire chains to fit a 235/85-16 tire. However, we do sell some tire chains with that size. I recommend the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w/ Cams # TC2821CAM. The Titan chains involve a manual installation with cam tightening for a tight, secure fit. They are also the great economic option. If you need more than...

  • Titan Tire Chains for Use on 2008 Ford E-350 Van
We offer tire chains for both of the stock tire sizes offered on the 2008 Ford E-350 van. Those tire sizes are 225/75-16 and 245/75-16. Our range of tire chains for each size is displayed on the two linked pages. Some chains are made for on-road use, others off-road. Some can be used in both types of applications. For 225/75-16 tires Titan offers the low-profile S Class chain set # TC2319 as well as other options that require more clearance in the wheel wells. For tire size 245/75-16 again...

  • Titan V-Bar Snow Tire Chains for 245/75-16 Tires
Although they do offer a fit, the Titan # TC2828 chain you'd looked at won't fit a 245/75-16 tire. I'd recommend either the Titan Snow Tire Chains with V-bar links, part # TC2821 or the same chain with cam tighteners, part # TC2821CAM. The V-bar chains are excellent for deep snow or ice. The V-bars do a great job of biting into slick surfaces for superior traction. Even if you go with the model that features the cam tighteners, it's still a good idea to use a set of tensioners like # TCMA2...

  • Tire Chains for a Dodge Ram 1500 with 245/76R16 Tires
Tire chains are definitely a good idea for plowing snow. We have chains that will fit your 245/75R16 tires that can be used for pavement and for more off road applications such as Titan chains # TC2821CAM. I also recommend adjusters # TCSA2 to keep the chains tight and centered. For even better traction I recommend chains # TC2221SHD which have square links. Square links offer the best traction. I also recommend adjusters # TCSA2 to keep the chains tight and centered.

  • Will Glacier Chains Discontinued PWH2328SLC Fit 235/80-17 Outside Tires of 2017 Ram 3500 Dually
For your 2017 Ram 3500 that has 235/80-17 sized tires the Glacier tire chains part PWH2328SLC are discontinued. However you can use the Titan # TC2821CAM chains on any 235/80-17 tire, including a dually outside tire. I have also included a link to other chains you could choose from. • Best Tire Chain Recommendation for Ice for Jeep Wrangler 245/75-16
For ice you really want to use V-bar chains as they are designed to break up the ice. Square links are best for deep snow and twist link are for people who want a smoother ride quality. For your tire size of 245/75-16 you would want the Titan chains part # TC2821CAM and you'll have no problem with the ice.

  • Recommended Tire Chains for 1997 Dodge Ram Pickup
Tire chains are generally best used on all four tires of 4x4 vehicles so long as the auto maker does not restrict use for any reason. Some tire sizes may affect the fit of chains on a vehicle if clearance in the wheel wells is limited. The best way to start is to check your truck owner's manual for any guidance regarding use of tire chains. I checked the Dodge website but they do not keep manuals for older trucks online; just have a look at your manual. If you can use chains on both front...

  • Recommended Tire Chains for a 1993 Ford F-150 With 245/75-16 Tires
A 245/75-16 tire is going to be 30.5" in diameter and 9.6" wide whereas a 265/75-16 tire is going to be 31.6" in diameter and 10.4" wide. Unfortunately, none of our chains that will fit a 245/75-16 tire will also fit a 265/75-16 tire. For the 265/75-16 tires I recommend the Titan # TC2828 ladder chains with v-bar links. For the 245/75-16 tires I recommend the Titan # TC2821CAM also with v-bars.

  • Does Tire Brand Make Difference for Picking Out Tire Chain Fit
Tire types and brands do not make a significant enough difference when picking out tire chains. In order for a tire to be listed as a specific size it needs to actually be the correct size since vehicles have pretty tight clearances at times. So the Titan Chains part # TC2821CAM would work on your 245/75-16 from Falcon without any issues.
