Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this CargoSmart small square hook for the E-Track and X-Track systems. It has a 200 pound working load limit. Now this flat bottom hook will let you hang gear inside your enclosed trailer or on your workshop wall. It's perfect for hanging tool bags, lawn equipment, and even small tools.
You can see on the hook itself it has a non-marring rubber coating to protect the cargo from any scratches.And this is a very easy installation. You just snap this spring-loaded fitting right here into your E-Track or X-Track anchor point. And just to show what we're talking about, I happen to pull a section of the X-Track right here, and this will also work on the E-Track. This one for the X-Track, all you have to do again at the top is the spring a little with the lever.You just pulled back on it, allows you to put it up in there and then drop it into place. Then your hook will stay right in there.
And then to remove it again, just pull down on the hook, lift it up and it removes and you want to put it in another place just like that. So it's easy to move it wherever you need to. And again, if this is also mounted this way, you could do it just like that, and it will hook in this place. So it's very easy to install, very easy to remove or move it to different positions.It is a nice gray powder-coated steel construction. It's very strong and durable.
A few specs on this again, the safe working load limit is 200 pounds, a few measurements on this. If we measure the outside depth, in other words, from here to the outside, it's going to be right at two and a half inches. The inside portion is right at two inches. And the overall height from the top of the hook here to the very top there, is going to be right at three and five eighths inches.But that should do it for the review on this CargoSmart small, square hook for the E-Track and X-Track systems. And this has a 200 pound working load limit..
Overall the quality of the Brophy Stop Plate is pretty solid and looks like it would hold up well. However, my E-Track system was recessed into the frame and wall which would not allow for the product to attach to the E-Track System. If there was slightly more depth between the plate and the E-Track connection this would have worked well. If you have a recessed system, I would not recommend this product. If you don't however, then I would say pick it up.
I just bought more. I use these for everything in the trailer.... well, not everything, but they keep doing the job so, getting more.
