To see if this custom-fit item will work for you please tell us what vehicle you'll use it with.
Easily plug this custom harness into your towed car to get the turn and brake signals you need for flat towing. Unlike other kits out there, this harness protects your vehicle from electrical feedback without you needing to splice in extra diodes.
When you're towing a car behind your motorhome, you'll need a way to get the tail, brake, and turn signals from your RV to the car to be safe and legal. This kit plugs into factory ports on your vehicle so your car can display the electrical signals coming from your motorhome. That way everyone on the road knows what your rig is up to as you tow.
This is a completely plug-and-play option for your vehicle, so the installation of this kit will be quick and easy.
While this kit has everything you need to get your towed car wired and ready, you'll still need some gear to get moving. To connect to your RV's electrical, you'll need an umbilical, and you'll need to make sure the plugs on that cord match the ones on your RV as well as the 4-way that's now on your car. If your RV has a 7-way, C57271 is a great option.
Something else to think about is whether or not you need a brake light relay. If your car's brake lights illuminate when the engine is off, you'll need to install a relay (RM-88400 - sold separately) to make sure the brake signal overrides the turn signal sent by your RV when you're slowing down to turn while towing.
And of course, there are a ton of other parts and accessories that will make towing your vehicle easy. Feel free to shop around our site or drop us a line if you have any questions. And once you get all set up, don't forget to send us a review full of pictures so we can see your rig out on the open road!

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Blue Ox EZ light tow bar wiring kit. This one's for a 2012 through 2014 Ford Focus Hatchback. Now this does work for both the manual or the automatic. Double check that on our fit guide here at etrailer.com on our homepage where this is my vehicle, enter things like year, make, and model. Make sure you're getting the right parts the first time.
Now when you're towing your motor home, or I'm sorry, when you're towing behind your motor home rather, you're getting a way to get those taillights, brake lights and turn signals from the RV back to the towed vehicle safely and to have your lights on the back of the tow car light up and everything. So this does that without all the cutting and splicing and the diodes that some other kits and brains out there use. So simple plug and play options at the back taillights of the towed vehicle, the wires going up through this diode modulator thing here, and this basically is like a power or the brain unit of the whole system, if you will. It's gonna turn the signals coming from the RV, going out to the taillights to the correct output, wattage, amps, all that kind of stuff. Then you got a ground wire here up towards the front, a long length of wire that's gonna go all the way from the back to the front of the vehicle, leaving you with that four pole connection.
Your RV's gonna have that umbilical that plugs into this. And this has a bracket up here for the front of the vehicle with some screws, dust cap for this to keep dust and debris out. Some dielectric grease and some cable ties as well. So they really gave you everything you need for the install to keep it clean, professional looking, and easy to install. So I know quelled up here, it may look like a lot, but trust me, this is super, super simple to install.
Again, it's just a plug and play. We've probably even got a couple videos on this being installed on your vehicle, most likely here at etrailer.com as well, so we can check them out as well. That's gonna wrap it up, folks. As always, we'd appreciate any kind of feedback, reviews, maybe some photos of it in use along with your RV. Tell us what you're using it for, maybe where you've been about your travels and those things as well, we'd love to hear from you.
Have a good one.
