Today, we're going to be taking a look at Carr's line of their Hoop II Step. These are custom-fit for your vehicle, so you want to make sure you use our fit guide to get the correct one for your particular vehicle. They're available in either a black or silver powder-coat finish or with a polished aluminum finish. These are available in either a two-pack like we've got installed today, with one on each side, or you can get it as just a quantity of one if maybe say, it's just your work truck and you just need one for you so you can get in and out.Having a step on your trucks is going to have many benefits. It's not only going to make it easier to get in and out, but over the life of your truck, as you're constantly using it and getting in and out a lot, it's going to help reduce the fatigue that you're going to get, especially on your joints and knees. So it can definitely save you in the long run, because if you're stepping all the way up here every time, and you're really bending it, you're just putting a lot of effort on your joints and muscles getting in, this can really wear you down over a long day.
Why don't you make things easier on yourself and just make it a lot less work to get in and out Your body is going to pay in the long run if you're constantly working it harder than you should. Our step surface has a studded surface. It's cast right into the aluminum, and you can really feel the grooves in there. They're going to dig into the soles of your shoes, ensuring you get traction when getting in and out so we can minimize the amount of accidents that can occur. And on your rainy, muddy days or snowy time of the year, it's going to help save you as you're getting in and out, so you don't have to worry about any slips or twisted ankles. And if you do have a bunch of muck on your shoes, you don't want to track that inside your vehicle.
With its nice textured surface, you can just scrape your shoes right off on it. It's not going to cause any damage to it. And when you get home, you can just hit it with a hose and it's back to clean once again. If you have any roof-mounted accessories or a ladder rack, maybe with a cantilever that goes over the roof of your vehicle, it can also make it a lot easier to load and unload any items off of that, get the things you need. You can also get another set for the rear passengers to make things easier for them as well, getting in and out. It also makes it easier to get up on the roof here.
And it also works as a great step, if you've got one here in the back to help you get into the bed.Our step surface is plenty wide. I wear a size 13 shoe and you can see how that would fit here on our step. It does have a length of seven inches with a depth of three and a half inches, and drops down five inches to make it easier to get in. And with its 500-pound weight capacity, it's going to be great for all of your passengers. No one's going to be excluded on this one.
And it's also going to help out with that extra weight, if you're lifting anything heavy up onto your roof accessories, you could easily put those on there and not have to worry about overloading and breaking your step. Now, if you're in the market for a step to get into your truck, you've probably been looking at a few different options out there. One of the biggest options is tube steps that run down the side of your truck. This is going to be a much smaller footprint than your tube steps are. As you can see, it's considerably smaller. Your tube steps normally run from the entire length of your truck here, from the front of your door to the back of the door there. And that's great if you have a of passengers that's often riding with you because each one's got their own step when you get that kit. But with this one, you've got more options because if it's just normally just maybe two passengers, you could do one on each side, and if you happen to have more people that ride with you, maybe you add an addition to your family down the road, you can always add another set. These are usually a more cost-effective option than your tube steps are. And one of the things that I really like about these is that they're constructed of a cast aluminum, so you don't have to worry about it rusting out over time. A lot of tube steps out there, you've probably seen a bunch going down the road. 5, 10 years down the line, they've got some water in them, they're starting to rust out. You don't ever have to worry about that with the cast aluminum.Pretty much have just a set position they go in. They have some minor adjustments, so you can fine-tune their final positioning. But this one here can fold. The bolts that go in it through here, you can take those bolts out and you can pull up or down to change the positioning of your step, and then you can reinsert that bolt. This is nice if maybe you want to fold the step up.If you find that you need the extra clearance, maybe you're going to do some off-roading and you don't want that step hanging down, you could reposition it and put it up. And you could easily take these off, unlike tube steps. It's a pretty big job to get back under there and take that hardware out. And some of that hardware, the way it's fed in, can be very difficult to get it back out without accidentally dropping it inside of the channels of your frame, and then it's lost. With these here, it's extremely easy. Just two bolts, take it out on each leg, and this guy's going to come off of there, and then you can go out in the fields and run off the road to your heart's content. And that completes our look at Carr's line of their Hoop II Step.

Did quite work well for promaster. Product was good quality, just bad angle when mocked up.
The steps were back ordered. Nick from etrailer notified me and kept me updated on expected shipping date. They arrived ahead of projected date. As far as the steps, they are installed and look great. They are sturdy and very well made.
These were very easy to install and they are wonderful! Makes it so much easier to get in and out of my cab on my 2019 Ford E350 motorhome. Very sturdy and they look really sharp. Excellent price.
They've made it easier for the ladies in my life to enter and exit my vehicle easier
I finally installed the side steps that I bought from you guys. Check it out
I own a 1997 F250 crew cab truck. I got tired of wearing the driver seat down getting in and out without some type of step. I've always liked the "stirrup" style steps and was happy to stumble across your website. After seeing the actual product AND HARDWARE in the kit, I ordered immediately. The steps arrived several days later and I installed them that night. Very happy with the steps, shipping, and quality of the boxes they arrived in. Took me several minutes to get to the product as the boxes were secured so well. The hardware provided was perfect. I will order 2 more for my rear doors in the near future. Thank you!
Had to remove the rock slide to install which was no big deal, other then that installation was easy. Steps look great quality is great I really like that they don't stick out to far so I'm not hitting my shins. Will be adding some for rear doors soon.
The steps themselves are solid, and make getting in and out of our truck easier, esp. for older folks. I have a minor issue with the installation instructions, however. In the instructions, they state:
" 8. *REFER TO DIAGRAM “A” WIRE HARNESS. Remove the plastic cover that is holding the carpet down and move the wire harness out of the way before drilling out the hole for the next step as shown on the diagram. Do
this procedure for both sides of your vehicle, because the wire harness may be on either side."
There's insufficient space to move the wiring out of the way as the hole for the sheet metal screw ends up dead in the center of the channel , so I used a piece of angle iron slipped under the wiring to protect the harness while drilling the hole. Once I installed the screw, I realized that the sharp point of the screw would be rubbing against the harness, and would eventually cause a short. To prevent this, I slipped the extra 1/4" Nyloc nuts provided in the kit over the sharp end of the sheet metal screw as shown in the photo.
I realize that there's not much room to use another type of fastener and working around the harness is awkward, but I think the sheet metal screw should really be replaced with another fastener that doesn't present a hazard to the harness. A 1/4" Torx button head bolt inserted from the top would definitely be an improvement, for example.
Matte black finish and heavy duty construction. Easy install on a 2024 2 door Rubicon and a 2024 Mojave. I would recommend laying out all the parts and organizing them. The shorter bolts are for the rear of the bracket while the longer are for the front toward the step. I would also recommend drilling the pinch weld area, attaching the bracket to the pinch weld area, and then drilling the hole for the sheet metal screw. This is perfect if you need a step but don't want to lose your rock sliders. They can be easily removed by taking off two bolts and two sheet metal screws for each side if you are wheeling. I wouldn't order from anyone other than etrailer. They are the only site with a review and install video. They offer great customer service if you run into a problem and fast shipping. I am very happy with etailer and Carr.
Thank you for the fast delivery!!

Easy to install and look great!
great product and fast shipping. THANKS !!
Tammie was awesome! Noticed i had ordered the wrong step for my truck and ordered the right one she was a pleasure on the phone! Thanks again
My wife really appreciates this side step. Happy wife - Happy Life.
Nicely made product. It was the first time installing this product so the instructions were not really clear. Maybe improve on the diagram
The product is great. The only problem was the shipping. Thank You
Seems to be well made and durable. My only concern is how well it is installed and subsequent susceptibilty to rust in the body panels. Tying these into the metal frame makes more sense for strength, rust resistance, and longevity.
Overall I am pleased with their function and appearance.
The side step bars wok great! I couldn’t use the hardware that came with the kit, but finding the proper bolts was easy. All in all I’m happy with the setup.
Fit the truck very nicely !!Installation went well!!
Would recommend to others to buy.
Makes it so much easier for me to get in the truck !!
