Constantly checking lug nuts isn’t anyone’s idea of fun. This wheel’s raised center disc and beveled, uncoated stud holes are designed with Improved Torque Retention (ITR) technology to keep clamp force strong. It helps the wheel stay secure on the hub through repeated trips and changing road conditions.
Getting a solid fit is simple thanks to the clearly defined specs—5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, 3.19" pilot diameter, and a true 0 offset. The wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, and the included valve stem means it’s ready to finish out your setup without extra parts.
You can count on this wheel’s quality from the first mile out. It meets SAE J1204 standards for trailer wheels, so you know it’s built to perform safely and consistently under load.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Vesper 15 inch by five inch white modular steel trailer wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now, this is a heavy duty steel wheel. This one is the modular design, has a nice bright, white finish on it. And the modular design is the design, if you notice it has the round holes that go all the way around the wheel. The finish is a white acrylic enamel finish, which will resist chipping and other damage better than the standard powder coat finishes.
This finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment, and then it covers an e-coat primer layer. This will give you excellent corrosion resistance with a salt spray rating in more than 1,000 hours. It's the wheel that's used the beveled stud holes which help to keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub, eliminates the need for constant re-tightening of the lug nuts. If you notice also, the valve stem is included, it's pre-installed into the wheel. Now, this wheel does not come with the center cap.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get a center cap that has a diameter of 3.19 inches, which is the diameter of the pilot hole right here. Your center cap would go through this hole. Now, this wheel does meet the SAE J1204 standards. Few specs on this wheel, we're gonna measure the diameter and the width.
The diameter, when you measure a wheel, will always be inside to inside. You don't wanna measure edge to edge. You're gonna measure where the tire will end up seating on the wheel. So, that's inside to inside. So, if we take our tape measure, we go inside to inside, there's your 15 inch diameter.
And the width is gonna be the same way, it's bead seat to bead seat. So, inside to inside, and there's your five inch wide. Now, this wheel bolt pattern is five on four and a half inches. If you want to measure that on a wheel that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case five, what you want to do, is you can pick any lug hole, let's say this one, and you're gonna measure across from this hole to either one of these holes. But when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So, if you put a ruler on it center of the starting hole to the furthest edge on this will measure four and a half inches. So, it's a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. This wheel does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. And the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,160 pounds. But that should do it for the review on the Vesper 15 inch by five inch white modular steel trailer wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pair..

These two wheels look great and are exactly as shown on the etrailer.com website. They came very well protected. Big dent but small enough to keep pressure in the tire.
I was upset i didn’t open my package until a week after i received it so i thought if i complained they would have thought it was me who did that. Didn’t bother to complain.
Besides the big dent the rim has it’s been solid and hasn’t had any problems. I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t for the dent i received the wheel with.

Rims packaged very good! Shipped super quick, that's a plus. Pricing is in line. Why'd I knock off two stars? I ordered 5 rims, they are all the same size but I got 2 different brands, with different valve stems. Now this probably wouldn't bother some people...it probably wouldn't have bothered me if I were putting them on a work trailer. But my enclosed trailer is pretty sweet and I'm a bit OCD with it. I needed to get tires back on to get it moved so shipping back was not an option unfortunately.
This is a tremendous wheel! The 6" wide wheel is rated at 2835 lbs. Remember your rig is only as good as its weakest link, so a pair of these would be good for 5670 lbs. Overkill on a 3500lbs axle? Maybe, but definitely gives peace of mind, and the price is comparable. They even ship with the high pressure metal stems installed. The offset is neutral, so the difference from a 5" is only a half inch back spacing increase. Be sure to check your clearances from hub face to frame, but my Dexter 95" axle has plenty of clearance from the 80" frame. eTrailer has been the best vendor, period! I originally needed these wheels in April 2016 to replace the truck wheels I had, but the 5-on-5" wheels were not a carried item. Within days the team added them to their product line and had them shipped.
These newer Vesper wheels are even better than the originals from 2016. Thanks eTrailer team for another great experience!

Perfect match and fit for our 2002 Logan bumper pull horse trailer. Picture shows existing and new wheel (back wheel). New wheel has a classy thin red and blue stripe around the rim….Tire is 225x75R 15 E rated trailer tire.
