This steel wheel is made to handle real hauling weight. With a 3,860-lb capacity, an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, and a 4.77" pilot diameter, the Vesper Steel Dual Trailer Wheel holds up under serious towing. The ±5.35" offset lets it serve as either inner or outer in a dual-wheel setup, positioning perfectly for balance and clearance on both sides.
Road debris, salt spray, and curb rash are tough on wheels. This one fights back with a silver acrylic enamel finish that outlasts typical powder coats. The finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and an e-coat primer layer, giving it excellent corrosion resistance—tested for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray exposure—so it keeps looking clean and holding strong season after season.
Durability is built into the structure. The center disc is spun-formed from fine-grained steel and fully welded into place for strength you can count on. It’s made to hold tight under continuous load without flex or fatigue, keeping the wheel solid even on rough roads or long hauls.
This wheel centers on the hub—not the lug nuts—for a truer fit that stays steady under load. It uses flange nuts (sold separately) for secure attachment and comes with a metal valve stem included so it’s ready to air up your tire right away. Meeting SAE J1204 standards, it’s built to perform safely in demanding trailer applications.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

This wheel was supposed to have a 4.77" center bore. The one they sent is a 4.90" center bore. I was told by the factory not to use anything but a 4.77" or my studs will break off of the Dexter axle. I have not heard back yet on what etrailer can do.

Wish etrailer had one with a 4.60 pilot hole to perfectly fit the Chevy Express 4500 cutaway, but this is for a spare.
Delivery was horrible.they did not ring the bell, left heavy long box on the street outside the gate. I can not lift heavy weights due to health condition, but had no choice and pushed it inside, jeopardizing my condition.

Very fast shipping. Very happy with the wheels. I had my tires mounted and balanced on the new wheels within 2 hours. Out of 8 steel wheels 3 were perfect without any weights. 3 took 3 oz. of weight. 2 needed 3 oz. plus. I'm very happy with the purchase.
These wheels do fit an 8 lug Dana 70 axel with a 6.5" bolt pattern on a 1968 Ford dually with drum brakes. Seems the internet gave me a runaround with many messages saying "they will not work!" The only downside is there is no interlocking for hub to hub, like my Ford rims with raised and depressed lug holes. However, I'm running singles for the time being, so for me there is no issue.
Great communication and extremely fast shipping. Fit my 1974 Dodge W300 perfectly (Dana 70)
