This will mount level with the bed for you to have an attachment point for your 5th wheel hitch. For your 5th wheel hitch I recommend one of the best ones on the market. It is the B&W Companion Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter item # BWRVK3050. The Companion has a 25,000 lbs towing capacity and its dual locking jaw gives you 360 contact on the kingpin. This limits the jarring and chucking you get with lesser quality hitches.
