Moisture and road grime won’t stand a chance against this wheel’s construction. The Lionshead Aluminum Modular Trailer Wheel is made from durable, lightweight aluminum that’s rustproof by design. A silver automotive-grade clear coat on the face helps protect it from scuffs and scratches while keeping its clean look season after season.
Frequent towing can wear down lug holes over time, but this wheel solves that issue with steel inserts pressed into each lug nut well. The reinforced design keeps the wheel secured firmly to the hub, reducing the need for re-torquing and extending long-term durability. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference in maintaining confidence on the road.
Each 16" diameter x 7" wide aluminum modular wheel handles up to 3,960 lbs while weighing significantly less than comparable steel options. The 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, 4.88" pilot diameter, and zero offset make it straightforward to match with compatible hubs. The result is dependable load strength with less strain on suspension and towing components.
This Lionshead wheel meets DOT specifications and SAE J1204 standards for safety and performance. It’s backed by a limited lifetime structural warranty, giving you the assurance that it’s engineered for consistent performance over years of use.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"
