When a trailer is fully packed, you need a wheel that can carry the weight without flexing or fatigue. The Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel is rated for 2,200 lbs and uses a sturdy 14" x 5-1/2" steel rim with a 0 offset for balanced load handling. It meets DOT standards and keeps its shape mile after mile, whether you’re towing near home or running at highway speeds.
Moisture and road grime are tough on metal, so this wheel gets a full 2-step finish to keep rust away. It’s first treated with an e-coat primer, then sealed with a black powder coat that adds both shine and protection. The result is a clean look that holds up through rain, heat, and rough travel conditions.
Nothing slows down a project like unclear fitment specs. This wheel uses the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a 3.19" pilot diameter, and standard 1/2"-20 wheel bolts, so it installs easily and seats securely on compatible hubs. The valve stem hole measures 0.453", which pairs neatly with a compatible high-pressure valve stem when needed.
The Dexstar’s zero offset puts the mounting surface right in the middle of the rim, keeping the wheel centered on the hub for even pressure across the bearings and tires. That means smoother tracking down the road and predictable handling when you’re loaded or empty.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Dexstar 14 inch by five and 1/2 inch black modular design steel trailer wheel with a five on four and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. It is a modular design, and when we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. This wheel gives you excellent corrosion resistance, 'cause they use a two step finishing process, which will include first an eco primer, and then a black powder coat finish. This is a high quality wheel.
It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation specifications. If you notice the center cap is not included. If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separately on our website. You do want to get a center cap that'll match this diameter of the pilot hole, which on this wheel is 3.19 inches. 'Cause when you install that center cap, it will go through this hole.
This wheel is made in the USA. A few dimensions on this we're gonna measure is the diameter and the width. Now, when you measure the diameter, you're gonna be measuring inside to inside. And the reason you do that, is when a tire's mounted on this wheel, the tire beads are gonna seat right here. So basically you're measuring from bead seat to bead seat to get the diameter.
So if we get a tape measure and we go straight across, there's your 14 inch diameter. The width on the wheel is the same way, bead seat to bead seat, so inside to inside, five and 1/2 inches wide. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a five on four and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. And if you we inchesre to measure that on the wheel that's an odd number of lugs like this wheel, what you wanna do is pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across from this hole to either one of these holes. But when you measure it, you'll measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measured to.
So on this one, if we measure, it'll be four and 1/2 inches, so that means it's a five lug, four and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2 inch by 20, and the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,200 pounds. Now always remember, if you have any questions regarding this product, please don't hesitate to contact us via phone, chat, or email, or if you've already purchased this product, please send us pictures of it being used in your application. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Dexstar 14 inch by five and 1/2 inch black modular design steel trailer wheel with a five on four and 1/2 inch bolt pattern.

Much better quality than expected with lightning fast shipping. Excellent value, thanks!
Wheels were not secure in shipping boxes when received. Cardboard pieces that were used to retain the wheels had broken free of their staples. Large staples protruded into the box and scratched each wheel.
It was on time and I was glad that they came
Wheel looks great, i have not put any miles on yet.
The wheels arrived undamaged from shipment and right on time. Their paint quality is very nice and they fit as expected. Not much to say about how well a wheel works; It holds a tire while it rolls down the road. One thing is that they do not run as true as an automotive wheel. They do have a wobble to them right out of the box but it has not posed an issue for us. It is a trailer wheel after all. All in all I would recommend as an inexpensive, basic trailer wheel.
I actually bought 3 of theses and wheels for an overlanding trailer I built from a CE Smith boat trailer and other parts I bought from etrailer. I am happy with these tires and wheels as well as the trailer and other parts.
Been using these for a few years and really like the look on the boat trailer.
Wanted a wheel that would match the originals supplied with the trailer, local dealers did not have this one available to them. Found it on etrailer exact match. With free shipping on orders over $99.00 hard to beat.
Great parts
As advertised. Using it for a spare tir e.
Very impressed. Quality is good, best price I found anywhere and shipping was supper fast.
easy to use website fast shipping and great customer service. Made my 2005 trailer look brand new
Paint was thin on lip of rim. Can see primer through the paint. There was also a burrito on one of the rims.
I needed some new rim as a curb injured one of my travel trailer aluminum rims. So I went with this steel rims . It holds more weight than the aluminum rims..
Very happy with the RV trailer rims. You can feel the difference between the new rims that Are made in USA compared to the China rims that came original.
Would have gave 5 stars but all 3 wheels that were ordered had thin areas of powder coating. This reflects Dexstar quality not etrailer customer service.

Been great, no issues
Rims arrived on time and packaged very well. Look great and work Great!
Very nice steel wheels. They have a gloss to them as well. Nice up grade from my Crome flaking old rims. 195/75/14 trailer tires fit perfect on these rims
I got good help and advice from your sales rep and the order arrived quickly.
I got this for a trailer spare and I’ve never had to use it (thank god). It rides well in its stowed position and mounted/balanced flawlessly. I have no doubts that it will perform when put in to service. Thanks etrailer for being there!
Exact match to our trailers
These wheels are a perfect fit and finish. They look to be good quality.
They look GREAT! I needed to replace tires on my camper trailer and decided to go with black wheels to match rims on my Nissan NV3500 I pull the trailer with. Happy with look and functionality of these wheels.
Quality replacement trailer rim
The tire and wheel arrived quickly and at a fair price, saved our camping trip from disaster
