The Dexstar Mini Mod makes matching your hub setup simple with a common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and standard 1/2"-20 wheel bolts. A zero offset centers the load right over the bearings, and the 3.19" pilot diameter provides straightforward compatibility with standard hub sizes. It’s a clean fit with no guesswork needed.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we're going to take a look at the Dexstar twelve inch by four inch white mini mod steel trailer wheel, with the five on four and half inch bolt pattern. This wheel is a sturdy steel construction, has a nice white powder coat finish over an e coat primer on the front and the back of the wheel. It gives you excellent corrosion resistance. This wheel is a modular design, or a mini mod design. Basically what that means, it's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. This is a high quality wheel. It does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation's specifications.
This wheel is made by Dexstar. Dexstar is made in the USA. The few specs on this, we're going to measure the wheel. The diameter is twelve inches, which is measured inside to inside. If I take a tape measure, and if we go inside to inside, you can see right at twelve inch diameter the width is the same way inside to inside where the tire beads would seat.
Inside to inside is four inches, so twelve inches by four inches. This wheel does have a bolt pattern of five on four and a half inches, and if you go to measurable pattern on a wheel like this that's an odd number of lugs, in this case five, what you do is pick one of the holes. Let's say this one. Then you'll measure across to either one of these holes. The trick is when you measure it, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. If we go here to here, if we put a tape measure, I'll show you that center to outer edge, there we go, you can see is right at four and a half inches, so five on four and half inch bolt pattern. This does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by twenty.
Pilot hole diameter, it's the large hole here in the center of the wheel. It goes over the hub of your trailer. The diameter of that opening is going to be right at three point one nine inches. The weight capacity on the wheel is one thousand two hundred fifty pounds. That should do it on the review on the Dexstar twelve inch by four inch white mini mod steel trailer wheel, with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern..

Outstanding rim. I had to wait longer because it wasn't in stock but I'm glad I did. My spare rims match the original mini mods that were already on my Lowe's trailer.

Ordered 2 trailer rims for boat trailer. I was notified after a couple of days they had not received them in to their warehouse yet. i was notified quickly with alternate choice that I could choose from that they had in stock which they provided me so i didn't have to go searching . I wish I had found etrailer.com sooner. I was looking for wheels and tires for a boat trailer I purchased, knowing it was in need of both. I bought the tires at a retail store and decided to look for the wheels in the same way, soon realizing they would have to be ordered and delivered to a store anyway, I went on line and found etrailer.com.
THE CLINCHER:
I ordered the wheels on a Sunday and received them the following Wednesday, (sooner than I could have gotten them anywhere else without paying special two-day freight service). I still saved enough money buying the wheels from etrailer.com, that the two combined, separate purchases were cheaper than anything else I priced for the same quality products.
THE HAPPY ENDING:
Had I known about etrailer.com and bought them together, mounted and ready to use in the first place, I would've saved even more. That is an even cheaper way to get them, it turns out.
I would definitely recommend etrailer.com to anyone looking for similar services.

I have been using this rim on my boat trailer for almost a year and absolutely zero problems. The paint has held up and no leaks.

I specifically bought these because they are American made. I thought American made meant the quality level would be higher. I got white wheels for my pop-up camper but the paint is missing in a big area. Poor quality control. Not etrailer ault at all.

This product is an exact match and is providing excellent service.
It's a white steel wheel. Nothing wrong with it and it does its job. I ordered it to match my existing wheels. It was a good price too.
I ordered a rim the would match my other tire on my trailer. The picture on the advertisement shows 8 holes around the perimeter of the rim. The rim I was sent had 10 holes around the perimeter. I called etrailer and explained that I did not get the rim that was pictured in the advertisement (8 hole). They said they would send me the correct rim as pictured in the advertisement with instructions on how to return the 10 hole rim. It has now been over 2 weeks and I have not heard anything or received anything. I guess I will have to call again and try to hash this out. Picture of 10 hole rim included.
The original wheel I had for my trailer was damaged and I needed to replace it. It was convenient to see what I needed and have it shipped to me without leaving the house.
