Features to know about

Built for Heavy Hauling and Highway Confidence: Load Range H with 81-mph Speed Rating

This tire-and-wheel combo is made for serious towing. The Provider 215/75R17.5 radial tire carries a 16-ply rating with a 4,805-lb maximum load at 123 psi, matched to a steel wheel rated for 6,005 lbs. It meets DOT specifications and exceeds FMVSS standards, so it’s ready for long hauls at highway speeds up to 81 mph (speed rating M). The double steel belts, double polyester cords, and nylon tread-firming overlays help it stay cool and stable mile after mile.

Long-Lasting Protection from the Elements: 3-Step Silver Powder Coat Finish

Corrosion doesn’t just shorten the life of a wheel—it can ruin your day mid-trip. This solid-center steel wheel goes through a zinc phosphate bath, e-coat primer, and baked-on DuPont silver powder coat on both sides for complete coverage. That triple-layer process fights rust and keeps the wheel looking sharp even when exposed to road grime, moisture, or salt air.

Hub-Piloted Mounting Strength: Built for Secure Fit with Flange Nuts

When you’re dealing with heavy trailer loads, centering matters. This hub-piloted wheel design centers on the hub rather than the lugs for precise alignment and secure mounting. It’s designed for use with flange nuts (sold separately) and uses 5/8"-18 studs on an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. The mounting surface sits just -0.19" off center for balanced backspacing that keeps weight where it should be.

Durability You Can See: Deep Tread and Regroovable Design

The Provider radial is built to go the distance. It has a 16/32" tread depth with wear bars that make it easy to see when it’s time for replacement. The tread is regroovable for additional mileage where allowed by law, giving you more life out of every tire. Each assembly is bake tested to ensure the rubber compound holds up over time, providing dependable traction and smooth performance on the road.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Tire and rim are holding up very well. Will buy again when I need more

by:

An exact match for the wheels and tires on my Midsota trailer.

by:

I haven't driven this tire yet, just bought it as a spare. It appears very well made, it came in excellent condition, not even scratches on the rim from transit. The price was right for buying as a spare. I feel a lot better about taking my trailer on long trips fully loaded having a spare, especially with how the roads are lately!

by:

The rims are good but I'd definitely recommend buying Sailun trailer tires over these all day long so if you can buy just the rim itself and buy a Sailun tire it's definitely the best way to go even if you have to spend a little more money.

Great Service.
I had been getting the
run around from everyone from the trailer dealer to the local wheel and tire stores. This tire and wheel was exactly a dead ringer replacement for my trailer. You guys are the best and I will tell friends and relations about your company. Thanks again .

by:

Tire arrived perfect and in timely matter. This was an experiment as i was replacing very old 16.5 dually rims with 8.75-16.5 D rated tires on an equipment trailer with 10k axles and etrailer wasn’t sure it would work. After measuring, double checking it appeared this 17.5 rim and tire be a match, fit like a glove and used the same flange nuts. Be ordering 3 more tires soon.

by:

I have owned these for a year. I got them because I was constantly running my trailer at capacity and experiencing blowouts on lesser tires and wheels. While upgrading to these wheels and tires was relatively expensive, and required new hubs also, I have not had a blowout since, so theoretically, this is going to save me money in the long run. I run a PJ gooseneck tandem axle with singles and I don't think that without these wheels and tires singles are a good idea - I would have to upgrade to duals. Then, I would be on the hook for commercial DL etc. Overall, great value with these for sure, in light of that.

by:

Purchased to use as replacements on my wood chipper and we have been extremely pleased. Great looking rim and a smooth riding tire. I particularly appreciate that they can endure the abuse of hopping over curbs on a daily basis to access our worksites.

by:

Very user-friendly site , great selection of products , and upon recieving my tire/wheel - - - NICE . To be used as a spare for a recently purchased trailer , and for the other units I already have - - - I'll be ordering again as well as telling others about you.

by:

Great customer service and quality prod uct.

by:

The customer service department went above and beyond expectations! They helped me through my emergency break down while on the road and with great communication and follow up I was on the road again.

by:

Amazing customer service and quality. Above and beyond communication with my entire order process.

by:

Out items were in stock as they always have been. Shipping was fast and delivery was on time. Have ordered many times from this company and never had a problem. The only complaint is that you can’t have an account anymore, so I’m not able to go back and see what orders I have placed in the past. That part annoys me. But it does not bother my husband as he doesn’t keep the records, he just wants to know when orders are coming in. LOL. Definitely recommend.

by:

After one year of my purchase I am super happy and satisfied. I tow a pretty heavy load on my trailer almost every day and the tires look exactly the same after 1 year. Switching over to these wheels and tires was the best desicion no more blow outs, no more replacing tires every 3 to 4 months! You want to save money I recommend.

Great qwik delivery,will use again!!

by:

Basically it was my only choice for the size I needed. Although on the surface it seems just fine… does everything need to come from China?? I would prefer to source from anywhere but there? Preferably USA!

by:

The tire came only 3 days after I ordered it & it was as advertised. It would have been nice if UPS WOULD have put their heavy stickers on the wrap that came from the factory. It took a lot to remove all of the stickers off the tire

by:

The tire and wheel is exactly as represented. I am very happy with order and was surprised at how fast it arrived.

  • Recommended Trailer Wheels for 4 Wheel Army Trailer With 17.5 x 6-3/4 Inch Wheels
The military trailers often have very unique fits as they are modified based on need so there isn't a standard fit. For a 17.5 inch wheel, option if you have 4 wheels on two separate axles, I recommend the Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Solid Center Wheel - Offset - 8 on 6-1/2 - LR H Item # TA69VR. This combo has a max load of 4,805 at 123 psi and speed rating of 81 mph. This combo comes with a 2-year warranty. If you have the 4 wheels on a dual wheel axle you can get the...

  • What is Needed to Convert 7k Dexter Axles to Fit 17.5 inch Trailer Wheel/Tire
Hey Russel, you are going to need to replace your hub/drums since the 17.5 inch wheel and tire combos like the part # TA69VR require the 5/8 inch wheel studs and you currently have 1/2 inch. So what you need is the part # 8-285-10UC3-A that fits your spindle, has the correct bolt pattern, stud diameter , as well as hub bore diameter to perfectly match the # TA69VR. The hub also comes with the correct wheel flange nuts as well.

  • Converting from 16 Inch to 17.5 Inch Wheels and Tires on 14,000 Pound Equipment Trailer
There should be no issues converting from your current setup to a wheel and tire like the # TA69VR Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Solid Center Wheel. The wheel will match your current bolt pattern and, assuming you have ST235/85R16 or ST235/80R16 tires on your current 16" wheels, the tires on the # TA69VR have a smaller diameter so clearance will not be an issue. These tires have a a 16-ply rating and a 4,805-lb max load at 123 psi. They have a speed rating of M for a maximum...

  • Explanation of Trailer Tire/Wheel Offset
Most of the trailer tires will have what is called a zero offset. That means that the direct center of the wheel and tire is measured to where the wheel mounts to the hub face. If you remove your tire and wheel and measure from the back edge of your tire to that hub mount/back side of the center bolt plate on your wheel and do the same from the front of the tire to that back side of the bolt plate on your wheel they should be equal which is a zero offset. A positive offset would pull...

  • Can Standard Lug Nuts be Used With the Taskmaster TA69VR?
The Taskmaster Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Solid Center Wheel - Offset - 8 on 6-1/2 - LR H # TA69VR is designed to be used with and requires the use of flange nuts instead of the standard conical style lug nuts. Typically an 8,000 pound axle will use 5/8"-18 studs as the 1/2"-20 stud will usually denote a hub/drum that will be used on up to a 7,000 pound axle. With that being said, I recommend upgrading your hub/drum to go with this tire and wheel set-up. If you have brakes...

The weight of the Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Tire w/ 17-1/2" Solid Center Wheel # TA69VR is 112.6 lbs. I am not sure what ST235/80r16 tire/wheel combo you are looking at. But for a combo of the most similar style that we have, the Westlake ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 16" Silver Mod Wheel # LHAW133 weighs 63.6 lbs. Which is a difference of 49 lbs.

  • Back-Spacing of Americana Modular Wheel w/ -0.5 Offset
A negative offset like the offset on the Americana Modular Wheel w/ -0.5 Offset - 17-1/2" x 6-3/4" Rim - 8 on 6-1/2 - Silver # AM22461 reduces the back-spacing. Since this is a 6-3/4" wide rim that means the back-spacing is 3-7/8" since it has a -0.5" offset. I'm assuming you are looking for hub-piloted wheels which use flange nuts. These wheels have a pilot diameter of 4.76" and use a 5/8"-18 flange nut. For tires that fit these wheels we have the Westlake 215/75R17.5 Radial Trailer...
