When you’re towing heavy and running long miles, this tire and wheel combo is ready for it. The Rambler ST205/75R15 radial tire packs an 8-ply rating with a maximum load of 2,150 lbs at 65 psi and a speed rating of 81 mph (M). It meets DOT specs and exceeds FMVSS standards, so it’s built for steady, confident highway use when the weight and miles add up.

Corrosion isn’t a worry here. The modular steel wheel uses a zinc phosphate pre-treatment, e-coat primer, and a durable silver acrylic enamel finish that holds up better than powder coat against chips and scrapes. It’s been salt-spray tested for more than 1,000 hours—perfect for anyone who sees wet roads or humid conditions but still wants their setup to stay sharp.

No one likes re-tightening lug nuts after every few runs. This wheel’s raised automotive-rated center disc and beveled, uncoated stud holes are designed for better clamp force retention. That means the wheel stays seated tight on the hub, helping you skip extra checks between trips.

For steady tracking and longer tread life, the Rambler radial uses double steel belts and double polyester cords topped with a nylon tread-firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. The design reduces heat buildup and rolling resistance compared to bias tires, giving you smoother handling and better wear over time.
This setup arrives as a complete tire-and-wheel assembly—ideal when you just want to bolt it on and roll out. It includes a Platinum Plus warranty with 2 years of complimentary roadside assistance if you ever need help swapping to your spare, adding peace of mind every time you tow.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Rambler ST205/75R15 Load Range D radial trailer tire with this 15-inch Vesper silver mod wheel with a five on 4 1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is going to be great for your stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. This special trailer tire, or ST tire, has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. And this is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles.
Now, this radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester cords, giving you increased durability. The nylon tread firming belt overlays are gonna help prevent tread separation. And the tread bars are gonna give you a quick visual indicator of tread wear. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST205/75R15. This is a load range D tire, meaning it has an eight-ply rating.
And this has a maximum load of 2,150 pounds at 65 PSI. And it has a speed rating of M, indicating a maximum speed of 81 miles per hour. Now this (metal tapping) sturdy steel wheel features this modular design as you can see here. And the silver acrylic enamel finish is going to do a great job of resisting chipping and other damage better than your powder coat finishes. This finish is applied after a zinc phosphate pre-treatment and covers an e-coat primer layer.
So, all that to say it has an excellent corrosion resistance with a salt spray rating of more than 1,000 hours. This wheel does use the beveled stud holes here. That's gonna help keep your wheel securely in place on your trailer hub. It's also going to eliminate the need for the constant re-tightening of your lug nuts. Now, looking at the dimensions of this wheel, looking at the diameter measuring bead seat to bead seat where the tire actually sits in the wheel, that diameter is going to be 15 inches.
And then looking at the width of this wheel, the inside measurement, again, where that tire is going to sit in that wheel, it's five inches wide. And this does have a bolt pattern of five on 4 1/2 inches. So in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. And then the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from that first one. The wheel capacity is 2,160 pounds. The wheel stud size is half an inch by 20. The center cap is sold separately. But if you pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits a pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. Now, this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. The tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications. One final note, this tire and wheel assembly does come with a platinum plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for two years. So if your trailer has a flat tire, simply call their helpline, and a technician will come and change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. And that service is going to be available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And also in addition to roadside assistance, this warranty does include other benefits and services as well. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I bought this as a spare for one of my trailers. It was a decent price. I kept it outside on the trailer frame and it held air the whole time. I’ve since stored it inside the trailer. I’m happy with the quality and price. ETRAILER is the best.
