Built for confidence on the highway, this radial tire-and-wheel combo carries a 1,925-lb maximum load at 60 psi and is rated for 81 mph. The Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 radial tire combines double steel belts and full nylon plies for long life and stable handling. It meets DOT specifications, so you can run at highway speeds with peace of mind on every haul.
Moisture and road grime won’t ruin your wheels thanks to the durable matte black aluminum construction. It’s lightweight, rustproof, and finished with a clear coat on both sides to guard against scuffs and scratches. Steel inserts in the lug nut wells help maintain a tight, secure fit so you don’t have to worry about the lug holes wearing out or frequent retightening.
This tire arrives pre-mounted on its 14" x 5-1/2" wheel, so there’s no setup delay or extra trip for mounting. The supplier aligns the high spot of the tire with the low spot of the wheel to minimize imbalance, giving it a smoother feel right out of the box. If you want fine-tuned balance, it’s ready for balance beads that move inside the tire to keep it steady mile after mile.
The radial ply design puts cords at a 90-degree angle across the tread, reducing rolling resistance and heat buildup. That means cooler operation, longer tread life, and better tracking at higher speeds compared to bias designs. The computer-generated tread pattern and premium rubber compound deliver solid traction whether roads are wet or dry, so performance stays consistent trip after trip.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 load range C radial trailer tire with 14 inch aluminum wheel with a five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. This tire and wheel assembly is gonna be great for boat trailers, stock trailers, utility trailers and campers. This special trailer tire or ST tire has sturdy sidewalls so it can handle heavy loads. It is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles.
As you know, radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway, and this radial tire is constructed with double steel belts and full nylon ply that are gonna combine for superior function and long tire life. The computer generated tread design and premium rubber compound materials are gonna give you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. Now, as I mentioned and as we have stamped on our tire, this is an SST205/75R14 The section width of this tire is eight inches and the outer diameter is 26.3 inches. This is a load range C, meaning it has a six-ply rating, and the maximum load is 1,925 pounds. It's 60 PSI.
When this has a speed rating of M, indicating the maximum speed of 81 miles per hour. This matte black aluminum wheel is durable, lightweight and rust proof. As you can see, it features this open spoke design, so that's pretty unique and appealing. And the clear coat finish on the front, and on the back, is going to protect this wheel from scuffs and scratches. The diameter of this wheel measuring bead seat to bead seat is 14 inches and the width is five and a half inches.
And our bolt pattern is five on four and a half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, but then the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So, to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes as we have here, you're simply going to measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. The wheel capacity is 2,200 pounds. The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20, the center cap is sold separately, but if you pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits a pilot diameter of 3.19 inches.
Now, this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications, and I think that's going to wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together has been helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
