Video Transcript for Review of Kenda Trailer Tires and Wheels - Karrier KR35 ST205/75R14 LRD Radial Gray Mod - KE79TJ

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Kenda Karrier KR35-ST20575R14 Load Range D radial trailer tire mounted on this 14 inch Nardo Gray mod steel wheel. Now this is going to be a complete trailer tire and wheel combo so the tire obviously is going to come mounted on this steel wheel and it's going to be ready to install right out of the box. Now as I mentioned, this uses the tire as we have stamped here on the tire an ST20575R14 radio trailer tire and this tire is designed for trailer usage only, not for vehicles. And this is mounted on this 14 inch in diameter by five and a half inch wide steel Nardo Gray modular wheel and of course, that modular describes the design here that we have with these circles around the perimeter. And this Nardo Gray is a relatively new color for me.

It's a really nice gray color with a double pinstripe, black pinstripe here around the inside perimeter. So altogether, it's going to be a great looking assembly. And the tire is a Load Range D, meaning it has an A Ply rating. So it's going to be able to safely support up to 2,200 pounds at 75 PSI. So that makes this a solid choice for your utility trailers, boat trailers, campers and other trailers that need dependable hauling capacity.

Now this tire does use the Kenda KR35 all season tread, which is designed to channel water away from the contact patch. That's going to help improve traction and stability on wet roads, giving you more confidence when towing in different weather conditions. And because this is a radial trailer tire, this is also going to run cooler than a bias fly tire, especially on those longer highway trips. Running cooler's going to help reduce heat buildup. It's going to promote more even tread wear and it's going to be able to extend the overall life of your tire.

Back to our wheel, our bolt pattern here is five on four and a half inches, which is one of the more common trailer bolt patterns, so it's going to be compatible with many trailer hubs. This also uses half inch by 20 wheel bolts. This does not include a center cap, but if you decide to pick one up, you just want to make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 3.19 inches and the wheel is also rated for 2,200 pounds.
