The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit adds up to 2,000 lbs of load support by converting your factory leaf springs into a mechanically active suspension system. Its variable-rated coil tension springs automatically adjust to your load to keep your ride level, stable, and under control whether you’re towing or hauling.
Factory leaf springs wait until the weight hits before reacting, which can mean bottoming out or sway once you’re already leaning. This system reacts instantly. The variable-rated coil springs engage as soon as weight is applied, strengthening your leaf springs to prevent flattening and sag. When unloaded, the coils disengage so ride quality stays comfortable and compliant, not stiff or harsh.
Body roll and sway can make towing or hauling feel unstable through turns or in windy conditions. By reinforcing the leaf springs, this kit stops sway and body roll before it starts. It keeps your load planted when cornering or when large vehicles pass by, cutting down on that rocking motion that wears you out on long drives.
Axle wrap and wheel hop put stress on shocks, shackles, and tires over time. This kit stabilizes the axle under heavy load and eliminates those issues by absorbing the extra force before it reaches other parts of the suspension. The epoxy e-coated alloy steel construction resists corrosion with brackets rated for more than 800 hours of salt spray testing. Once installed with the included hardware—no drilling, cutting, or welding required—it’s completely maintenance-free.

Now, this custom kit will convert your vehicle's factory leaf springs into a mechanically active suspension system. It'll actively strengthen the leaf springs for improved ride quality with or without a load. And it is a nice all-in-one suspension system that'll improve stability, handling, and control. It does eliminate axle wrap, wheel hop, bottoming out. It'll will dangerous sway and body roll when you're cornering.
It will even keep your ride level when you're towing or hauling a heavy load. Will improve your traction while braking and accelerating.It does use the variable rated coil tension springs, which will automatically adjust to your vehicle's load. They do activate immediately to support the extra weight, and they'll disengage when unloaded allowing your leaf springs to perform as intended. The customizable coil springs can be adjusted during installation to accommodate your towing or hauling needs, and they are independently adjustable for side to side leveling of any off-center loads. They are a nice durable epoxy e-coated steel construction. The corrosion resistant brackets on the ends of each unit have a nice salt spray rating of more than $800. And it is an easy bolt on installation. There's no drilling, cutting, or welding required. Basically this I-hook bracket will wrap around the top of the factory leaf spring eye, and then the unit will secure under the leaf spring and around the factory U-bolts.When you do receive them, it comes just like this, all fully assembled and the hardware's all included.
It is maintenance free. The adjustments and monitoring aren't needed once they're done after you install it. And this part is made in the USA. A few specs on it. The weight capacity is 2000 pounds. The thing you do want to remember is that this Roadmaster active suspension will not increase your vehicle's weight carrying capacity. Well It has not failed me yet. Being basically a spring under load all the time I am assuming the spring will stretch some over time and I will have to adjust tension accordingly. The pickup sits nicely on the thinner washer setting so I am leaving it there and hopefully that will help the system last longer.

What can I say. After a year of constantly driving through Texas roads and highways. I have moved twice and loaded the bed of my truck plus U-Haul 6x12 trailer and thy truck has not felt the load of it. The Active Road Suspension Leaf Spring is constantly sort of speak sensing if theres load so it can actively push it upwards. I have even driven up to the crazy roads of Pennsylvania and my pick drives smoother than when I got it from the dealer. Im telling you these things work. As any cautious driver upkeeping his own vehicle, I have periodically checked the bolts and location of the resistance in between the spring and it has not deflected or moved from its original installation. I believe every pick up must have these. It beats constantly putting air on the air bags especially in inclement weather like up here in Pennsylvania with the snow. I couldnt be more satisfied with this purchase. Thank you etrailer for offering this superb product.

After a year I am still pleased with this product. I had been adjusting the spring tension higher when towing and then back down after a trailering trip, but now just leave it adjusted to the trailer towing tension as the unloaded ride doesnt seem to suffer when the springs are tighter.

Still working great. Towed a Flaggstaff microlite 23LB Travel trailer prob between 5 and 5500 LB’s to Niagra Falls with no problems, truck sat level with trailer and 2 adults,2kids. Getting ready to make a 2,000 mile round trip to disney in florida in a few weeks.

OMG!! I have done extensive traveling with my trailer over the last year and the RAS system has made a huge difference in sway, road buffeting and squat. I can’t imagine not having this on any vehicle that tows!

Removed the Suspension Enhancement and installed Airlift. Cost more but rear-end isnt sagging 4.
