Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Malone foam block for canoes. This unit can be used to replace a damaged block from the Malone rooftop carrier, part number NPG156. You can also get multiple of these foam blocks to create your own set-up. We do recommend that at least two blocks are used to safely hold one canoe. It's designed to fit round, square, oval, aero and elliptical cross bars. Now, if you don't have a roof-rack, you can actually place this directly on your vehicle roof. On the bottom, it features and non-skid base that prevents the unit from sliding around and it won't scratch or harm your vehicle's finish. The cut-out here at the top, this is designed to fit and protect canoe gunwales.
When it comes to the construction of the unit, it's made from an EVA closed cell-phone construction. When it comes to the dimensions of the unit, starting with the overall measurement going side to side, this direction, that's gonna give us a measurement of about four-and-five-eighths of an inch. Edge to edge this direction, measures around six inches. Overall height, it's gonna give us a measurement of about three-and-three-quarters of an inch tall. You're gonna get one block with this part number and it's made in the USA. That's gonna do it for today's look at the Malone foam block for canoes..

After cutting in half I them carve out the center to a semi tight fit. They are light weight enough in a back pack to not even notice when walking.
Work as expected, but somewhat challenging in getting on roof rack and canoe at the same time. I am going to try attaching something like a "swim noodle" to the canoe rails for easier load/unload.
I bought 4 of these foam blocks to use putting my 12' row boat on roof of my Escalade. They fit and worked perfect.
I received the items promptly. One item was not included in the box. This matter was quickly resolved by Teresa to my satisfaction. Everything is great.
Great product at a good price. The vendor Also delivered it quickly.

Rifle rest shooting stabilizer is what I still use. Its in great shape and placement of bullet is enhanced tremendously especially. If kept care of it should last me years!
